This is a chain restaurant in West Ashely and it is a solid chain what has everything you expect, consistent prices, solid food and lots of seating space for large groups. They have surprisingly affordable food options that are solid and filling along with a very attentive and kind staff. They also have food options for everyone in a family to have their pick and dietary restrictions so everyone can find something in the menu. I think this price also included the salad bar. I'd say overall the place looks a little bit older however the service was very good and the food tasted fine. Didn't get any food, because after sitting at the bar for over 30 minutes, nobody took our order.The restaurant wasn't even near its capacity, but there were over 7 tables and 5 seats at the bar with dirty dishes. I have always loved Ruby Tuesday everywhere I have lived, but this one is poorly managed. We even saw Uber Eats and Door Dash drivers waiting almost 30 minutes for their orders. Visited Ruby Tuesday Sunday after church. Initially went here because we saw an email with a steak special, but later realized the special began at 4pm, and we were too early. Was seated soon after entering and greeted by the server not long after. Opted for the 2 for $24 with an upcharge of $5 for the ribs. The deal included an appetizer and 2 entrées. Appetizer & meals came out in a decent time, but the server didn't return for a while after the meal was delivered to check on us. I needed mustard & my mom needed new fries because hers were cold. By the time someone came, she was half done with her ribs. The replacement fries were nice & fresh. I ordered a cheeseburger without the veggies. After asking for mustard, the server started doing a few other things and never came back with the mustard, so I had to ask someone else. They may have been shorthanded, as many places are these days, so I didn't make a fuss about it, but they have to do a little better with timing so food won't grow cold while waiting for condiments or fresh fries. read more

DHEC needs to do an inspection on this kitchen. Like the review below, my stomach has been a mess since I have eaten this. I only had eaten the Bao Buns and Egg Rolls. Nothing looked like in the pictures. The chicken teriyaki was unrecognizable and was not eaten. They didn't give me the correct Bao Buns I ordered. I called the Ruby Tuesdays where I picked up the Food from and asked to speak with WowBao and they explained that was them. I asked for a refund but they said they couldn't do that and referred me to Wow Baos website to request a refund. Wow Bao doesn't list this location on the complaint form which is a red flag. OK - we went back today for lunch. I felt so bad for our server. She was the only one working the floor and it appeared she was also responsible for all of the take out orders. Also, they were fairly busy to just have one person on the floor. The bar was closed - all the chairs were propped up against the bar so no one could sit down. Our food took a good 30 minutes to make it to us and the bbq sauce I asked for never made it to the table. Food was good and exactly what we were looking for so no problems there. Unfortunately, due to the staffing, we were not checked on once and I had to drop payment (while being 3rd in line to do so) with our server without even getting the check. I appreciate being short staffed, been there, but perhaps it's worthwhile to institute a wait of even 5 or 10 minutes so that proper expectations can be set and the one server has a chance to catch up. It did appear that there was a manger working but was not really helping much from what I can see. While she was at the bar, another guest and I asked for our checks for her to just call out to our server (who was busy getting a to go order bagged and ready) that two of us wanted our checks. I would have thought she would have just printed our checks and helped us out trying to take some pressure off of our server. My sons and I were looking for somewhere to eat near our hotel off of Savannah Hwy in Charleston and settled on Ruby Tuesday. They have a special summer menu and I chose my meal from that menu. What a disappointment this was. My ribeye was more fat than meat but tough as could be. The mushrooms were wonderful. The baked potatoes were terrible. Like they had been left over from the previous day and reheated in the microwave. He did say his catfish was good. But his ribs were to dried out. The delivery person didn't even knock on the door. Luckily we kept checking for the delayed delivery. But common sense would be to knock on the door to let people know their food arrived especially as it was late. We won't be ordering again. I stopped by Ruby Tuesdays West Ashley for drinks and dinner earlier this evening. This has become one of my favorite spots in Charleston to have a few cold drinks and grab a bite to eat. The service is always prompt and very professional. Drink and food offerings are very affordable. They routinely have great specials and new menu offerings. However; after my most recent experience to their West Ashley location, all I wanted was to click my ruby slippers three times and shout, "there's no place like home; there's no place like home; there's no place like [local eateries!"] I cannot make this up. The food quality was beyond the minimum of my expectations. Hot foods that should've been hot, was cold such as my baby back ribs and fries. The extra Caesar dressing I specifically ordered on the side was added to my Caesar Salad on top of the average amount they serve on the salad which made my salad soggy. The customer service was good; not as speedy, but, not to shabby. Would I dine here again... probably not. I've gradually realized some places will take a little longer to improve and Ruby Tuesday's is one of those places when it comes to food quality. Went to salad bar with no plates and stood around about 4 minutes before we were noticed and mentioned there being none. To be fair, this wasn't the next time my wife and I have stopped in since my first review, but we have had the same bartender previously each time. Antwon is great behind the bar. We ended up ordering two Coronas with lime to which, mine still had the sticker from the fruit on it clearly showing the fruit was not washed first before cutting. After waiting roughly 40 minutes we decided to ask where our food was. The manager told the bartender right in front of us, "oh we sent that out a little while ago". The bartender then shower the manager it was rang in as Togo food. To which her response was ..."okay let me go make it now". We simply left a $10 bill on the bar top to pay for our beers and left without our food. Nothing like wasting a good hour at a restaurant on a Sunday night waiting for food. This place is an absolute joke. Zero customer service, zero intelligence. How do these corporate restaurants suck so bad? Isn't there a level or attention they must all provide to certain aspects of the restaurant? We will never be back. This Ruby Tuesday on Savannah Highway in West Ashley is one my favorite casual dining chain restaurants in Charleston. The salad bar here is great and one of the best features as you can get as much salad as you want and when combined with an entree makes a really good meal.
