Located on Palafox this spot is near a lot of other shops and restaurants. My food was reasonably priced and came out in decent time. Service was absolutely unacceptable. Wait time on yelp was 1 hour, waited for over 2 hours and table still wasn't ready. Even though you check in online, you're still not "checked in" until you see the host. we were physically here for over 2 hours, but couldn't be seated. People walking in and out but since we didn't double check in, they "didn't know" we were here. BTW there's a "reply to confirm" option for the text... So Then we got seated, table was dirty floor was dirty. Seriously just not worth it. THEEENNNNNNN my order came out wrong. Sunday brunch hours only a 15 min wait. Our server was awesome! I wanted the canoli stuffed beignets with whiskey cream sauce on the Winter Specials menu. They were out of those but they had the whiskey sauce so she got me regular beignets with whiskey sauce! Sooooo good! We decided on the loaded tots as well and I am so glad we did! At apple smoked pork on top was so tender and so flavorful. The pork tasso is it creamy sauce with little bits of ham in it. Was waiting for what initially was supposed to be 15-20 mins that turned into an hour when it started thundering and downpouring. Staff started getting on to people waiting and telling folks they couldn't stand under the awning, which I get. It was blocking the door and entry. So some people (with infants and toddlers) went inside to wait and were told they couldn't wait inside either. Only option was to stand in the thundering rain? Watched as some people eating outside tried to stay dry by putting down the shade but were immediately told they couldn't do that and had to put it back up...and get drenched while eating. Was a bit put off so I left before I could be seated. I've been here before and food was ok. People seem to rave about it because they had great experiences in Nola but honestly, it's just ok food. If looking for brunch spots in pcola, plenty of places offer good food and nicer staff with less wait time. read more

I can see where this restaurant has the potential to be very good however today it was only "OK". Unfortunately their "OK" left me with nothing to go back for. The drinks were "Ok", we ordered several. The food was OK, but what left me astounded was their grits!! I received something like a bowl of watery grit soup! It was awful... I asked about it and the server said, " They aren't usually like this but today that's all we have." Come on, these are grits and somewhere back there is somebody who knows how to cook them! As a Pensacola local, this is the best breakfast spot. I've been her many times over the years and always great quality. Even though it's a chain, the food is still so good and servers and staff all are super sweet. You have to get the vanilla iced coffee. Loud busy and decent food. Came for a late breakfast on a Saturday so there was about a 30 minute wait. Had the trifecta and the peacemaker. In hindsight the peacemaker is enough. These bennies are huge. Came out pretty quick, food was warm not hot. When we left I looked at the line and it appears they have a quick grab pass area with a lot of the items under hot lights. Take that info as you will Was wanting s mimosa but went with a Bloody Mary. It was well received, good spice and not too many things stuffed in the top of the glass. Sorry for no pictures. Wife had the peacemaker Benedict, I had the southern breakfast and kiddo had the red velvet pancakes. Decided to have a few bevs this am: 1: coffee, 2: water: 3: mimosa flight. Next came sharing an order of the Banana foster french toast and ended with a flight of Margaritas.. Ha!! We were there for a good bit just enjoying the vibe. Great service and good breakfast food. This restaurant was started in New Orleans. I would classify it as Southern Creole breakfast. It was packed when we dined, but we were lucky to get a table for 2 immediately. In addition to the inside dining, they also have outdoor seats available. About that... the chairs are very uncomfortable. That's my only complaint. They have semi booths available, but when it's crowded, you don't have much choice. Aside from that, we were pleased with our experience. I created an à la cart breakfast since I wanted to try several things. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crisp, the sausage links were tasty and the pancake was good. Parking can be difficult, but once again, we were lucky to get a spot right out front. Thankfully I can parallel park! For noise sensitive individuals, this place can get pretty loud. One portion of the restaurant has a vaulted ceiling and the metal chairs scratching the concrete floor makes it noisy. read more

Sat at the bar to eat on a Sunday morning. The 2 bartenders were great. They were very busy but weren't too busy to be attentive to you when you were ready. I got the Southern Breakfast, eggs over medium, with bacon, grits and a biscuit. The bacon, grits and biscuit were delicious. There was a hash brown patty but I was too full to try it. The eggs were too runny to be over medium, they were more over easy which I don't like at all. I'm sure if I said something it would have been corrected but I was full anyway. My husband and I stop by this place for brunch. It's downtown so parking is not convenient and you may have to walk a distance. The staff was amazing and instead of waiting for a seat we decide to sit by the bar. I had the orange blood and mimosa and we had a couple of Benedict for breakfast.
