However, the house potatoes in my opinion weren't that good, cold. Yet the ambiance and other flavors brought us back to try the beignets the following morning. All worth the second visit. Tasty biscuits and gravy, with a good amount of sausage. We'd order this again. Super helpful and friendly wait staff. Shout out to Janet on Black Friday. And Miguel in Saturday. Haven't written a Yelp review in a while, but tonight's experience felt worthy enough to write about. My friend from out of country was craving some BBQ, so we settled on this place because it's local and has been around for a while. The inside was very nice and felt like stepping into a cozy Southern inn. We were told that there's only one waitstaff for the evening, so we would have to wait about 10-15 min before being seated, so I was a bit worried initially. But the service was actually great and prompt, especially considering that one person had to wait all the tables haha. Kevin was our waiter, and he really did a great job helping us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed, including a birthday dessert! The food also exceeded my expectations. We had the brisket, pulled pork, hot sausage links, St. Louis ribs, mac n cheese, and creamed corn. All the meat fell off the bones! I liked that the meat didn't come slathered in BBQ sauce and that they gave a variety of sauces on the side, so I could enjoy with the amount of sauce I wanted. My faves were definitely the sides though. My friend's not a fan of mac n cheese, but she really liked this one. And I couldn't stop eating that creamed corn. Thank you TikTok!! I found this place on my FYP page for their dinner options and saw on their website they offer breakfast on the weekends! After looking at pictures on Yelp, we knew we had to go. For a table for 2 at 10:30 AM on a Saturday, we were sat right away and greeted right away. A hot chocolate and 2 waters to start off right. We agreed that the pancakes for the table option was perfect for us because we couldn't decide on one flavor! We also chose to share the brisket and eggs plate because we really wanted to sample their BBQ. HOLY SMOKES! The brisket and eggs was plenty to share, as we both felt content with how huge the portion of meat and eggs were. The potatoes were PERFECTLY seasoned (I'm used to seasoning at the table at other places). The pancakes were so big (they don't do smaller versions on the sample plate) we could only take 2 bites of each one. The pancakes are dense and filling, but not overly sweet. This was surprising with how much toppings they put on it. All of this food came out to $50 and that's with a 25% tip for our amazing server. She constantly checked in on us and another server did as well, he helped get our drinks. My biggest thing is this, if you do not like country music, you may want to ask for a seat away from the speaker. They played 90s-early 2000s country music and the interior has mismatched chairs, feeling like you are in someone's home rather than an actual restaurant. Try their limited time burritos, regular or spicy which comes with 2 delicious and warm beignets or country potatoes. Came in today to do a quick last minute order for take out. Kevin was so kind to help me out and explain the menu to me as I was a first time customer here. I ordered a full rack of pork rib and man they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! They was sooooo tender and just sliding off the bone! The flavor on these bad boys was beyond amazing! This place was totally unexpected! It's in a shopping mall and looks good from the outside but when you go inside it's amazing! The decor is so neat and western saloon themed. This holiday weekend, we decided to check out their new breakfast menu. I was surprised to see the new add-on room. I love the kitschy/ but classy old west look. Now you had me at bacon from a BBQ place, but you add in beignets and I'm there. The wonderfully friendly waitress suggested we try the syrup on the beignets and it was perfect. What took me so long to try this delicious local BBQ? Been twice for breakfast and eager to come back for lunch or dinner. The blueberry french toast, brisket and eggs, strong coffee, and the big easy omelette are definite winners. The pancakes are hit or miss because the first time, the pancakes were light and fluffy but the second time, they were heavy and dense. I think the batter sat too long and was over stirred for our order but hubby says the batter was made just in time and did not sit a few minutes like it should. Either way, the brioche French toast is a better way to go. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender! Service was excellent with Jeanette. She always has a smile and has great recommendations. I came to this restaurant a few weeks ago, and unfortunately, I left a little disappointed. I had ordered the 2 meat platter, with the brisket and pulled pork. For sides, i ordered the creamed corn and the fries. The fries were crispy and salted, as expected. The creamed corn was okay, I wished it was a little creamier. However, the rest of the platter was a little bit of a let down. The brisket was pretty dry and bland in all honesty. I wished there had been more of a rub/bark; some pieces had more than others, so you never knew if the bite you were taking was going to be full of flavor or if it was going to be more on the unseasoned side. The pulled pork unfortunately was also pretty dry. For a bbq spot, I thought the meats would have more of a smoky flavor, but it only had a whisper of smokiness, almost as if they had used a smoke gun rather than a smoker for an extended period of time. I had also ordered a sweet tea, but that unfortunately was also a let down and not representative of the sweet tea that you would find in the southern bbq states. The restaurant itself was pretty empty, which was especially shocking since I came on a Saturday afternoon. When we were sat, there was a huge spider next to our table, so we did request to switch tables. I know that pests can be found at a lot of places, but it did make me question the cleanliness of the restaurant. My husband and I had lunch here a couple weeks ago. We walked in and could smell smoke and meat and we were excited! We were the only ones in here, and the entire time we were there, only one other person came in. Service was great, our waitress was a sweetheart and very helpful. The decor is very on theme, it looks nice. They blast country music, which my husband absolutely hated, but I was able to tune it out. Their breakfast menu looks really good, would love to try their Biscoff Butter Cookie pancakes and some of their omelettes sometime, but they stop serving breakfast at noon. I will have to get there a little earlier to try those! One of their appetizers is Cowboy Caviar, which we have never had. We asked the waitress what it was, she said lots of beans, corn, tomatoes...then she stopped herself and said "I can just bring you a sample for free if you want to try it." We did. LOVED the Cowboy Caviar! The "sample" was a very decent portion, perfect for two people. I can't imagine how large a normal serving is! It was served cold with tortilla chips, like a pico de gallo, it's an excellent mixture of beans, other veggies, and a somewhat sweet vinaigrette on it. We both went with their craft meats, which oddly do not come with sides. I had their brisket and a hot link and added mac & cheese on the side. He had their St. Louis ribs, a house link, and a cornbread muffin. It was all hit or miss for us. Brisket was good, but not mind blowing. Tender, but didn't seem too fresh, was brought to me cold. I really enjoyed my hot link, it was slightly spicy, very cheesy, and had a great flavor. But the casing was SO tough and very difficult to cut through with the dull butter knife you are given. I also got a small piece of bone in my first bite, which grossed me out. Mac & cheese was AMAZING. Hubby's ribs were ok. I personally hate spare ribs, but these were better than others I have had. He was just whatever about them. His house link tasted strongly of licorice, neither of us liked the flavor, it also had that super tough to cut through casing. Cornbread muffin was dry and crumbly, difficult to eat. The maple butter served with it was absolutely delicious, but hard as a rock, so it was impossible to spread it on the falling apart muffin. Not sure why they aren't using thawed whipped butter on this bread? They have four BBQ sauces, we asked to try all of them. Only three were brought to us, we didn't complain about the missing Alabama White sauce. Out of the ones we had, we both agreed the Carolina was the best. When I tell you this is by far the best BBQ, service, and country atmosphere around, I mean it! Me and my boyfriend's family came to celebrate his father's birthday. My boyfriend and I arrived on time at 7 pm for our reservation but had a misunderstanding and the parents ended up being late, we didn't get food in until around closing at 8, but the entire time not once did our server make us feel rushed or that we were over staying our welcome. Kevin was our server and he was SOOO awesome. Told us all the good deals and what is the best bang for our buck- even told us his favorite sides. Ruby Red's BBQ catered our wedding on January 6, 2026, and I genuinely don't even know where to start -- they were AMAZING from beginning to end. My husband and I first met them at a Wedding Expo where they were giving out free samples. We instantly fell in love with the food, but what really sealed the deal was the people. We met the owners, Nick and Jake, and also their server Amanda, who has clearly been part of their team for a long time. All three of them were so warm, welcoming, and full of personality -- we hit it off immediately. Amanda was truly a STAR, Jake was incredibly sweet, and Nick was so cool (yes, with the cowboy hat ). Nick even went above and beyond on the spot and brought out a HUGE brisket and started slicing it fresh right in front of us. We were talking and laughing so much that they invited us to the back where my husband got special brisket pieces -- and they even let us take food home. That's the type of heart they have. After the expo, we scheduled a free tasting, and it was perfect. We went to their actual restaurant (which is beautiful, quiet, and intimate), and we got to taste everything on the menu. The food was fresh, the service was excellent, and the entire experience was top tier. Jake was the main person I communicated with during the planning process and he was AMAZING. He always responded, always answered questions, and was so easy to work with. When some of our guests cancelled and our guest count dropped, Jake accommodated us without any stress. Instead of us losing money, they allowed us to add another item to our menu that we originally couldn't afford -- with no extra charge. That level of flexibility and care is rare. On the wedding day, they arrived on time, set everything up smoothly, and our guests RAVED about the food. The brisket, the sides -- everything was a hit. Even our venue staff complimented how great the catering was. And as if they hadn't already done enough, they surprised us with a wedding gift: 2 pounds of brisket just for me and my husband, served on our sweetheart table. We were so touched.
