Ruby Nails is the best place EVER! I usually come here for my pedi's but this one time I was on a time crunch and leaving out of town the next day (my fault for waiting last minute) so I went to another nail salon on 58th and wads... I'm not picky. They rushed me soooo fast I wasn't even in there for a pedi just a toe nail polish change! The polish at one point was so globby it was starting to run. I told the nail tech it was too thick she got super heated took it off and left me there. The owner came over and tried quickly fixing it but at this point I just wanted to pay and leave. So I rushed over to RUBY Nails and they fixed my toes and didn't want to even charge me! (I wish they would have... Kevin-It's very simple. THERE IS NO GIFT CERTIFICATE!!! You owe me $170. I'm a resident of Florida now. Be reasonable. I'm not going to fly back to Colorado and present a $500 gift certificate to scam you. YOU are scamming me by asking for a piece of paper that no longer exists and which youve never required before. Pay me back the $170 remaining balance you owe me and be done with this. Good customer service it's called. Folks-heres the story: Almost 2 years ago purchased a $500 gift certificate from Ruby Nails with cash money. they were happy to take my money and write out a gift certificate . since then Every two weeks I go in, get my nails done and they never required to see my gift certificate. they kept a running total and I trusted them. About 6 months ago I was going through a rough time in my life and I missed TWO appointments. After that they refused service to me. They would never have an open appointment for me or Kevin would just flat out refuse to see me. Two months ago I moved to Florida. Kevin had said that he would refund me the $170 balance left on my gift certificate. I was going to be in the Denver area so I called, asked for an appointment. Kevin reluctantly agreed to set an appointment for me for 2 hours after my flight was to land. He said that if I was late that he would never do business with me again. I told him that I cannot control the time my flight lands, I can only say when it is SUPPOSED to land. He was mulish, not willing to budge or negotiate for a different time or date when I would be in town. The day of my flight Denver was experiencing extremely high winds so the plane was unable to land at DIA . My flight was diverted to Salt Lake City, stuck for 3 hours. The airplane did not Land in Denver until after 8 p.m. so there is no way I could have possibly made this nail appointment. I feel that Ruby Nails' sudden business practice of 1)never having an appointment at a time when I am available, 2) refusing me service and 3) refusing to honor or refund $170 balance owed to me ....is a direct result of a low rating that I once gave them on a Google review. Kevin took personal offense & is punishing me by withholding what he knows he owes. As of today, I moved out of state for good, moving all my stuff in a U-Haul trailer to Florida I went to Ruby Nails to speak with Kevin face-to-face to ask for the refund.. He said that he would not give me a refund unless I could produce the actual paper gift certificate. Mind you they never needed the gift certificate before but once I asked for a refund... - because they disrespected me as a customer, because of their Shady business practices and because I no longer live in Colorado - ....Kevin became irate, yelling at me, raising his voice and adamantly refused to honor the gift certificate that he had so willingly taken my money for. I helped Kevin out by investing $500 in their business when they were just starting up and had no customers. Now that they have customers they forget who was a loyal long-time customer and so they are scamming me out of my money.??? Oh how the mighty have fallen. I would not recommend Ruby Nails again EVER to anyone because (unless I'm a special case ) a customer cannot get an appointment, they are talked down to, disrespected and taken advantage of. I DO understand that every business has to do what is best for the business but I also understand that sometimes there are extenuating circumstances where exceptions can be made. IT'S in everybody's best interest to do the right thing. I have had movers, cleaners, painters, handyman, packers, contractors and realtors in my house for this move and I DO NOT KNOW WHERE that paper gift certificate is. IT'S GONE. For all I know it was shredded. I asked Kevin if he would transfer my credit to someone else and he said " if they bring in the gift certificate".... well duh!! the gift certificate is no longer. It is not going to miraculously reappear. Kevin never needed the gift certificate before so what am I missing here.? This business Ruby Nails is stealing from and scamming a loyal customer. All I ask is a refund of my $170. THERE IS NO GIFT CERTIFICATE. an apology would be nicel but is not necessary. I never did them wrong. I cannot possibly be the only customer of theirs who has given a less than five star rating or missed an appointment or two. With so many nail salons across this country there is no reason for ANYONE to spend their money at Ruby Nails. If you do beware, if you buy a gift certificate make sure you put it in your safe deposit box and make sure that you don't spend $500 on it. read more

This place is awesome. I came here because the salon I would normally go to had an hour wait and I couldn't wait that long due to plans later in the day. Ruby Nails came up on google and is within walking distance of my apartment (score!). It was empty except for one other customer when I got there, so I was immediately greeted and sat down. My manicurist helped me choose a color as I was hopefully going to get engaged that weekend. She guided me towards a soft pink that looked gorgeous. The gel manicure itself was the best I've ever gotten and lasted phenomenally long. I can't wait to come back! Only con is that they're closed on Sundays which means I can't get my nails done today! My husband has been going to this place for a few months and took me along today! Jenny opened this salon a few years ago and has been running it as a small, successful operation ever since. The small staff is incredibly friendly and seems to know every customer by name, what's going on in their lives, etc. Talk about attention to detail. They truly make the effort here. Izzy was my nail technician today; ask for her, she's incredible at her job. Jenny not only runs the place but is an expert nail technician as well. The best gel manicure I've ever received! Came here to get my nails done for my wedding with a few friends. We all received wonderfully attentive and kind service. I got some simple nail art for my manicure and the gel has lasted almost perfectly after two weeks. It's so good my nails are outgrowing it faster than it chips! My regular pedicure lasted two weeks with the exception of one toe. I usually have a difficult time painting my toenails because they grow at sharp angles, but they looked perfect! This is my favorite nail salon. The owners and employees are super nice and you can tell they take pride in their work. The salon is clean and quiet. They do a great job and my gel manicures usually last 2-3 weeks with no chips. Everyone speaks English well and they routinely check in to make sure everything looks good and you are getting what you want. They have limited staff so I recommend calling for an appointment. When I walked in the door, they greeted me by name.
