Came here after searching for Chinese buffet bc at 8mo pregnant i was so indecisive and wanted everything. Walked in, got to pick a table and the place is big so good start. We missed the lunch buffet that ended at 3pm but we're glad we did after seeing some of the buffet items were dinner only. Food was good, salad bar, lots of fruits, American food like pizza and nuggets, plus a decent selection of desserts. we saw food was changed out promptly when needed. buffet was hot and service for soda and utensils was quick... I didn't feel rushed they allowed us to enjoy and take our time, unlike some Buffets I've been to. My teenage boys will love it here so we will definitely be back. I've been coming here off and on for over a decade even though the food is garbage, because it's typical Asian buffet comfort food. I came tonight with my boyfriend and bestie and when we were done I rounded the check up by $2.01 as part of the tip with the intention of leaving an additional cash tip on the table... but the waitress came over before we had a chance to actually leave, flipped my receipt, and made a massive drama of trying to shame me for what she assumed was going to be a super low tip. (To be clear, at a buffet like this where the servers only clear plates and refill drinks, standard tip is 5-10% of $2 per person, whatever would be higher.) We went here because some recommended it, and we weren't disappointed. The food was bountiful, it felt like an endless supply of crawfish and other seafood options that many of the patrons were enjoying. I wanted to try the sushi, but I ran out of room... but I did try the seafood boil which I thought was well seasoned, the crab which was very hard to break and not worth my time. The clam mix was tasty, so was the salt and pepper shrimp, I wish they did this to squid. The dessert table was small, and offered very little selection.. some fresh fruit, some pastry's, nothin I would be in a rush to go back to eat... the the warm selection. Been there multiple times. The food is always plentiful and the taste is above average. Two much to choose from. I always get something different. Each time I go there. The lobster is always good. It was your typical Buffett. The only reason I came is because my daughter wanted to go and it was quick service and a big enough selection for her pickiness. I arrived a little after 3pm and was told it was dinner time. I paid 49 for 3 people (2 adults 1 child). Pros: it wasn't packed. We were seated fast. If you have a picky eater there's options. The mussels and egg rolls were really good. Cons: some of the food was bland. Like the crab legs initially were bland but when you got to the bottom of the same crab leg (odd) there was more seasoning. The pineapples didn't taste good at all and I love pineapples. It ranged from tasting sour to bland non taste sweet. I was expecting more like hibachi maybe being a choice. As soon as I was at my last piece of food on my first plate someone came up to take it away. It was as if they were watching like a hawk and rushing for your table. read more

In terms of lunch buffet, this Chinese spot has all of the classics that you'll want in a normal fashion. Buns, dumplings, egg rolls, soups, rice, noodles, sushi- and this one even specializes in seafood, which is what I see a lot of bigger groups coming in for. I personally don't eat the seafood much, so my favorite things to get here are the crab rangoons, soups, and sushi- all of which make the price worth it. Typical style for all of the food, and the sushi isn't stellar, but has all of the parts you'd want. Compared to corner store chinese spots, you'll get similar flavors and textures, maybe a little bit less crispy since it's sitting for longer. first off I wanna say the customer service was terrible! they up charged us, they would stand right by us and stare at us, yes directly at us. the cups were not clean and they tried to charge us for a styrofoam cup. they did not even give us the right amount of forks, after asking several times while being stared at we had to grab one off another table. secondly, they were talking about us the whole the whole time with other co workers. my cousin asked for a lemonade several times and he got ignored multiple time, he had to raise his hand. My friend and I eat here regularly either before or after a movie at the Riverview just a block away. The food is always impressive and near-empty bins are replaced regularly. It's very easy to overeat here because the food is just so darn good! Be careful how much you put on your plate, though; they will charge you a little extra if you waste food. Don't come here if your expecting to eat crab legs it is always empty. I love buffets, from the cheapest hole-in-the-wall types to opulent seafood feasts, so I was excited to try this place for the first time. It's not huge but it covers the standards you'd expect from a Chinese buffet: rice and noodle dishes, stir-fried or deep-fried meats in a variety of sauces, cheap sushi, seafood, and more, all for a decent price. While you can't expect top quality cuisine, you could do worse as far as buffets goes. Dishes range from sort of good to meh, so you'll have to pick and choose what the better foods are. Most of the options were kept stocked up, but as usual, expect to wait in line and compete with other ravenous customers if you want some of the steamed crab legs. As far as sushi goes, there is a decent amount fish on some of the rolls (and, as you'd expect, barely any on others). Service might be kind of sparse depending on how crowded it gets, but at no point did I feel ignored. If I could give it 2.5 stars I would. All in all, at around $13-15 for dinner (if memory serves me right), and under $10 for lunch, it's an ok choice if you're just looking to fill up without breaking the budget. read more

I ordered on DoorDash, using the pickup option and to my surprise my food was ready within 10 minutes. Upon pulling into the parking lot I was under the impression that I was visiting "Ruby's Cajun" but instead it was a buffet, so instantly I was unsure of the quality of the food. Boy was I WRONG... My coworker and I went to Ruby's and this was my first time there. The food was really good and fresh, the pepper steak was tender and the gravy was seasoned well. I especially liked the broccoli salad and the fresh fruit. It was very crowded with graduates, but we were seated and had no problem enjoying the food. We are going back real soon. I got there first at 2pm before the other 8 guests in my party and I noticed there were a few graduates who were celebrating with their friends and families. I watched people coming in from the time I got there and it never stopped. The staff never approached me the whole time as I sat in the first seat from the main door. That's when I noticed they were ignoring us in favor of the smaller groups that were constantly coming in. Money over manners I guess. Anyway, when we complained about not being seated, they told us we couldn't sit where we were seated the last time we were here... 3 weeks ago! So, to end what could be a much longer story, we were finally seated... AT THE SAME TABLES WE HAD BEFORE!!! Conclusion: Had they just been cordial and polite, you wouldn't be reading this flame... Like other reviews said, crab legs are available if you stand there and wait and you are the first three on line. They do have other seafood dishes like crawfish, mussels and clams. I was lucky to get some crab legs- quality was so so. Meat wasn't firm and lack of that sweetness. Like others said, steamed sea bass was definitely the highlight. Certain pieces was a little over cooked but I went back for second for the sea bass. Sushi wasn't fresh with dull color. They don't appeal to me at all. Dessert was a little weak with limited selections. They do have soft serve ice cream. Another dish I like was the roast duck. Roast beef ( they cut for you) was tough. Service was good. No compliant in that area. One thing need t mention is the slippery tile floor throughout the restaurant including the lobby and entrance area. It just felt oily kind of slippery. Floor wasn't wet. The eating area was carpeted but not other area. I heard at least two tables talking about how slippery it was. My son was 'skating' on it playfully. Obviously the management knew about it. Yellow floor signs saying Caution were everywhere. Conclusion: one star for sea bass. Another star for service. Red flag for slippery floor. Will not return. If I'm in that area, I will go to Flaming grill buffet instead. Less than 3 miles away. read more
