The service was excellent! Server was really nice and attentive. I love how the servers are taking away trash and dishes to make sure the table stays clean and less cluttered. I had the mofongo and it was really tasty. My entree was the steak, broccoli, and rice and beans. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The ambiance is beautiful. It gives me a downtown vibe without the downtown prices. The hookah was pulling perfectly and it was reasonably priced. I recommend this place for a date night, friends night out, or birthday. The music wasn't too loud and made me wanna dance a little lol

The service was quick but, once they serve you, they forget you. Mind you, it was only 5 of us in there, I went around 5pm

This place is weird. It was an uncomfortable atmosphere. Couldn't even stand at the bar for a shot

Overall sold experience! Very clean and trendy restaurant. It's décor is nice and inviting…read more The seats are comfortable for most guest whether you are dining at a table or booth. However, if you are plus size you might not find the seats at the tables as comfortable, they might feel rather snugged. The circumference of the seats aren't wide enough to accommodate plus sized guests. You might feel more comfortable at one of the booths instead. Also, they are accommodating to large parties. We had a party of about 20 people and were giving an entire section of the restaurant to ourselves which was a mix of one of the longer tables that seats about 12-14 guests and two tables that seats 4 guests each. We were initially told that we couldn't sit at some of the boots because the restaurant wanted to save them for other customers coming to dine in. That would have been fine expect for the fact that our party included plus size guest that were uncomfortable in the seats at the tables and needed the booths to have more room. So after a short back and forth with the staff our guest were able to sit at the booths. Even though the restaurant was accommodating for the most part they are still finding their way with working with larger parties so I decided to give them some grace. I think they could have used more servers for our party as well. There were only two (2) and I think a third server would have proven a tad more efficient. There were some guest who were inadvertently overlooked during the ordering process and so not everyone's orders came out around the same time. There was a small miscommunication between the two servers which led to this as well. Also, if you have a large party and want to split the bill, they will only split it up to three (3) checks. So just keep that in mind. A work around for this would be to have individuals in your party send you their funds through one of the electronic payment platforms and then you pay the bill and reimburse yourself with the funds they sent you (e.g. venmo, cashapp, paypal). Also, gratuity was not automatically included on our bill. Under starters the menu shows that for the Crispy Chicken Spring Rolls you get 6 pieces. It wasn't clear to all in the party who ordered that starter that this was a typo and that you really only get two (2) spring rolls so that added to a bit of confusion as well. I believe this has been fixed on the website but hopefully they fix it on the hard copy menu. Even with those hiccups and areas for improvement my overall experience was great as the food was absolutely delicious and the price point is within reason. Very tasty dishes bursting with unique flavor profiles like the spicy shrimp with eggplants. It doesn't say it on the menu but I believe the sauce is made with a tasty fish paste which I enjoyed but for someone not accustom to that type of flavor profile it might catch you off-guard. So if you have any questions about any of their dishes it's good to ask you server. The fried rice is really delicious here too. Dumplings soup is flavorful. The garlic basil salmon is a winner too. I enjoyed everything and my guests had no complaints about the food either so everyone left satisfied and eager to return. I look forward to returning in a smaller party next time or even trying takeout. There appears to be a pool area, that could be a fun night with family and friends. I didn't get a chance to inquire about it but will next time.

The inside is nicely laid out and easy on the eyes. Booths, tables in the middle, sushi bar towards the back and private tatami rooms along the one outer wall. I had called ahead and reserved one of their tatami rooms. It was our first time in a room like that and we really enjoyed it! (NOTE: you have to remove your shoes before entering the tatami room so make sure you wear socks if that bothers you!) The service was friendly and timely. Our waitress took the time to go over their menu which had several pages of sushi options alone. They don't have a kids menu, but they were both able to find something they liked. My oldest had the Chicken Teriyaki that came on a skillet with a bed of steamed veggies and white rice on the side. He devoured it and asked for more rice. He allowed me to have a couple of bites of his chicken. The Teriyaki flavors were popping! Little guy shared a steak and shrimp hibachi with my wife. She asked for medium and it came out well. The flavors of the steak and shrimp were awesome, but the corn rice and veggies had a little bit of an off flavor and texture. Both meals came with soup - one miso which tasted just fine, the other a clear soup that had a delicious full onion flavored broth. I had the Volcano roll - $17 - eight - Shrimp tempura, cucumber w special sweet tuna salad outside and the Phoenix Roll - $18 - eight -mixed combo fish & avocado roll, top with salmon yellowtail & special sauce on top. The Volcano roll wasn't super tight, but I enjoyed the crunchy shrimp tempura and sweet sauce. Good fresh ingredients and flavors in both, Phoenix roll had a welcoming kick in the special sauce. Our friend had a Philly Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll and a veggie roll ($7-$8 avg.) which she said were all good. We had a great time in the room and will certainly repeat. I'm not a well traveled sushi eater, but the menu at Tako was much more extensive (more fish varieties and combinations) than my usual Asian fusion spots) at a similar price so I'll be returning to try more options. The one thing I would recommend to their owners is a bathroom spruce up or thorough cleaning. The walls looked like an inexperienced painter took care of them and there were dirt marks all over the door. Having said that, it's great to have a fun dining option close to home! Thanks guys!!!

Been recommended to come here for sushi and finally decided to get food here…read more We ordered takeout. We really loved the salmon here. It was delicious and fresh. Literally melts in your mouth. The spicy crab sushi rolls were also really good. Some places tend to mess that up for some reason. And also their ACE roll was also really good. There's other rolls that I do want to try and I'll definitely come back for more salmon sashimi. Ordered takeout and it was ready within 10-15 mins. Restaurant looks very cozy, clean and nicely decorated. I would dine in there if I had the time. I think here and shogun go neck and neck honestly. There's things I like about Tako and I can say the same for shogun. Hard to compare the both but I enjoy both sushi spots.
