Found this place thru Groupon. Located inside global mall up the stairs straight on the right. This place isn't really clean y'all. I saw her double dip the stick wax after she used it on me.. Grosssss. There was a lady working (she told me she doesn't usually work in that located but she was filling in) she actually made my first Brazilian wax a little better. She made me feel comfortable and took her time. Prolly wouldn't go back to this location. The owner or manager was rude. read more

So I get my eyebrows threaded instead of waxed like most people. Maybe it's an Indian thing, who knows? Ruby's Beauty has various locations throughout Atlanta, but the one I go to is in Norcross, as that is closest to where I live. They usually have a wait, but are pretty good at getting you in and out. It helps to make an appointment though, so that you can get in quicker (especially after work or on the weekends). One of the ladies named Kruti is my favorite, because she does a good job, and is patient with me (b/c it hurts the heck outta me). Unfortunately, she only works on the weekends so I occasionally have to settle for someone else if I have an important event to go to that won't allow me to wait for the weekend. The price is to die for as well, only $7 for eyebrows, and they also give facials, hair cuts, do facial threading, upper lip, etc etc. The location is within a place called Global Mall, so while you're waiting, you can walk around and look at the Indian clothing stores, music stores, or grab a bite to eat at the food court. read more

Men avoid at all costs... They do not know how to cut men's hair even though they advertise.. Anyways I had asked for just simple haircut with 1 on the sides and back and half of what it currently was on the top... The lady was so hyped on the movie star Gajini, that she wanted to try the same on me.. it would have been good if she did it the exact way but she messed up on a exponential level.. I think this lady was learning how to do a hair cut as the lady next to her was asking me inbetween if that was how I wanted my haricut and I was saying no.. and the other lady was trying to instruct this lady to fix the issue to no avail... I finally just walked out and went to Tony Hair salon who finally had to do a 1 all over my head to fix the problem... read more

I visited Ruby to get my brows done at the recommendation of a friend and colleague. When I arrived on a Saturday afternoon, the line was long, and I was concerned about how much time it might take. However, they moved very quickly, and I was able to get in and out in about ten minutes. My stylist did a great job, and the process was quick and easy. The price was very affordable, and I will definitely be back. read more

Can't beat $6 to get your eyebrows threaded. But some of the ladies who thread are better than others. And the chairs are really uncomfortable, made for people who are 4 feet tall, so leaning back on a headrest is out of the question. Its not the cleanest place in the world, and they don't even have tissues to wipe the eyebrow hairs off your face when they are done. Don't even consider getting a haircut here. I had mine done (don't remember the lady's name), she sprayed my hair with water a little bit, but didn't wet it all down, tried getting a comb thru my dry thick hair, which hurt, and gave me a really bad and uneven cut, all in 5 minutes! Wouldn't even check my hair when she was done, even though I asked twice. A waste of $18, I shouldve know better. read more

I went here for a Brazilian wax and eye brow threading and my experience was terrible. The lady did a good job on my eyebrows but my wax experience was completely indigestible. The room was filthy, the lady double dipped the stick she was using on me back into the wax. Gross!! She left me all sticky with wax everywhere. I had to ask for oil.... People told me to go ruby. I thought it will be good choice for asian hair style Today eve sunday june 8th 2014 i went for hair cut. I was surprised when she started haircut from the back. In my life no one started from back Then she was not constant at one side and keep moving left and right not finishing one side one time. I can feel her confused of not balanced cutting. I asked her not to use maching except on side edges and neck back xtra hairs but she still did use... And she used it roughly I asked her for straightining the front line I showed her the difference on left and right ear hairs they were not balanced Guys i am not sure about girls But if you love your hairs please dont go except if you have to get ballhead. Knocking it down two stars. I've mainly keep coming back for the eyebrow threading services. They are great at that. However, they can get backed up cause it's so packed. The threading doesn't take long but they definitely lack customer service skills. I try not to be too harsh cause I don't expect a non American place to have customer service skills. Many are not train for that. I can live with that. However, I do *not* understand why every time I've come that you have to speak to your coworker in Hindi while threading my eyebrows, even with the thread in your mouth! Honestly, I try to come really early when they first open to avoid all this. So a few times, I've just noticed or taken into consideration that they use the same eyebrow brush on everyone. On top of that, I took my daughter and me to get eyebrow tinting, that's the next biggest thing, I've gotten it done from a few of my Hmong girl friends and results are great but they don't thread, only wax. So I decided to get the tinting done after threading. My problem is that they used the SAME towel to wipe my tint *and* my daughter's. First of all, that towel stinks, it looks like the one they use to wipe the counters. When wiping my eyebrows, I can smell it and it was old. After that, no more eyebrow tinting. It's been a while since I've gone back to get anything done. If I go back, it will only be for eyebrow threading for $6 right when they open. read more

My best friend usually goes here to get here eyebrows done. I tagged along this time to check it out, as I usually go to Saylah to get my eyebrows done. Service was quick and efficient, there was no wait because we went on a weekday in the early afternoon. Ruby's has a few locations around town, and at just $6 for threading , the price can't be beat. Can't say for sure if I'll be a frequent visitor since I'm a bit partial for Saylah and its closer to my side of town. However, if i'm in the need of threading and I happen to be in Gwinnett County, Ruby's is definitely the place I'd be heading too. Also now Ruby's has a customer appreciation card, so after 5 threading sessions you get your 6th free. read more

Went with a friend to get our eyebrows done. Her eyebrows were different sizes. They managed to take a chunk of my eyebrow out so now there's a bald spot on one side. I'll never go back. read more

I go to Ruby Beauty Plus @ the Global Mall in Norcross( I'd be going today but my ladies aren't available) I only let Ruby, Aruna or Nissa do my eyebrows because I'm funny like that, I'm sure their all good, however the time I let someone else do my eyebrows I was so upset because my eyebrows were so different. I know eyebrows are different but this was to the point I had to cover up my eyebrow w/ my hair until my eyebrows filled back in. Threading lasts for 3 wks for me so imagine me walking around covering my eye..LOL I went back and had 1 of my ladies I go to correct it. How can you beat $6 for eyebrow threading and its better for you in the long run. I've been going there since 03 and will continue to go. I don't have a problem tipping them either, their just that good!!!! read more

This place is one of the dirtiest salons I've ever been to, and could easily be indistinguishable from a low budget one in Lahore. So if you're looking for a cheap authentic experience, this is it. The staff isn't the friendliest and the wait times can get crazy long. Avoid this place on the weekends, because it's just not worth the wait. I bought a Groupon for Ruby Beauty Center and was going to get my hair done and get a facial. However, when I called, the woman who answered the phone promptly told me that if I wanted a weekend appt, I couldn't use my Groupon, despite it saying NOTHING about that in the deal details. When I told her that I couldn't come during the week (I have a job, so I can't make it during their M-F business hours) and asked if there was anything they could do, she was not helpful at all. After reading all these reviews about spotty service and gross business conditions, I think I will try to return this Groupon. Why in the world would you want to advertise by giving a deal to a coupon site and then try not to honor it when people call???? That is unacceptable to me. read more

The worst salon ever - do not come here! I just walked out after waiting more than 40 minutes for a simple eyebrow threading that would take 5 minutes for them to do. Absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, they did not even acknowledge that I was there or ask me what appointment I came in for; instead, I got random bouts of eye contact and subsequent walking away without a single word spoken to me, even an apology or an estimated time in which they would get to me, in 40 minutes. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience here and I will not be coming back again. read more

Believe me or not, this lady put TEN -10 damn scars on my eyebrows and did it most disgustingly. I had visited just today, I wanted to WARN you people before planning a visit to this place. Nabiha cut my hair and couldn't possibly have screwed it up more! I went back in to see if anyone else there could fix it and make it look halfway decent, but instead I got her again and she cut more inches from hair. Arrrrgh. I wish I could get my hair back the way it was! I can't believe I paid her to do it! I will never go there again. She doesn't know what she's doing and should go to hell! Argh! read more

This place is far by the worst. Customer service is the worst customer service I have experienced. Never can keep track of the customers. I was there waiting for almost an hour and store was kinda busy and people that came in after me were getting service done until I asked what's going on with the list, then lady explained to me that their iPad list was messed up. I was sitting there for no reason. And this is my 3rd time getting horrible service done at this place. I will never return to this place again and I would not recommend anyone either. read more

I went here thrice.. despite the 'not so good' reviews from some friends ( yeah, my foolishness ). The first time, despite calling and driving 45 mins to get my eyebrows done, I was not taken in.. the lady who had spoken to me on the phone and had said that I could come in before 6pm refused to admit that she had, and did not do my eyebrows because the "register was closed".. even though it was 5:40pm ( and based on the time posted on their door they were 'open' ). I was quite turned off, and thought at the time that I would not be going here again. However, I did ( yeah, my foolishness again), because I desperately needed to get my eyebrows done the following week and happened to be at the Global Mall. I had to wait for 40 mins, which I was okay with because it was a walk in.. but at the end of it, the lady messed up my eyebrows. Ruby talked nicely enough when I spoke with her about it and got me in to 'repair' them the next day.. not too happy with it still, but at least there was some damage control done. The third visit really was the last straw.. DESPITE an appointment, I had to wait another 30 mins.. which would've been OKAY, except when the guy at the counter ( I think the owner ), showed me "the attitude" when I asked about my turn and mentioned that I have other commitments and hence I'd taken an appointment for my specific requirement. ( note: I saw another walk in being taken before me after I'd waited 25 mins. ) I was told that it is "normal" to wait at their salon regardless of appointments and that I "really haven't waited *that* long" since he just saw me walk in "few minutes back" (i mean, excuse me!) ... and he had a rude demeanor to boot.. I'm shocked! The service didn't make up for it either. The room was FILTHY with sticky wax and dirt all over the floor and the quality of work was just average. I've had better services in other salons. Unfortunately, it seems to me that 'Ruby' has become one of those "big names" who think they cannot be impacted by a couple of unhappy customers as they have their "loyal" following.. I think they really need to do a serious dive into their customer handling.. I personally know of 3 people who've stopped going to their salon due to a bad experience. I of course, needn't spell out that I would NOT recommend this place at all. read more

If you like henna this is a great place to get henna for your hair or for intricate henna designs on your skin. It is located in Global Mall which also has some pretty good (not fancy) Indian food in the upstairs food court. read more

I have been coming here for the past 2 years and I must say Ruby is the sweetest person you will ever meet. I went to her for my bridal makeup and hair and also got my facial, wax, mehndi and threading done by her. This is the best place to get your threading done and also for the brides to be out there look no further. Ruby is the best hands down. No complaints whatsoever. read more

Worst place to get waxing done. They ripped off my skin. beauticians are novice doesnt have any knowledge about skin types, they just wax like waxing an animal. not hygenic. DO NOT Make a mistake of going to Ruby and booking her for the hair & makeup. She is a sweet talker and will get the contract, but when the time comes she won't be there for makeup. I booked her for my reception makeup. When I went to her salon she was not even there. Another lady ended up doing my makeup not knowing the hair & makeup we had agreed upon. She asked me if I had my own foundation. She said you need to go out to purchase your own bindi too. It was a ridiculous experience. Do not waste your time and money with her. If you do book her get in writing that she will do your makeup. read more

I had the worst experience here. I came in for a haircut and for my eyebrows to be done. First of all, my hair was down to my butt and I told the girl that I would I would like to still keep my hair long but just wanted a few inches off. I ended up with my hair above my shoulders. I still went through with getting my eyebrows done. It looked like nothing was done to them. I went home and found many stray hairs that should've been taken care of. I would not recommend anyone use the groupon for bikini wax for this place. I'm not sure about the other services, but Brazilian/bikini wax...heck no. So I saw the groupon and was like okay I'll try them. I just moved to norcross and needed a closer place for a wax. I'll admit its been a while since I had a wax, but its summer and I was going on vacation. Point is the worker tried to say that I had too much hair and that's why she couldn't properly... I went to an actual Brazilian salon before.. same amount of hair.. no issues and I came out there completely hair less.. but this place got wax all in my cat, also on the clitoris part, and ripped off skin on my area. I didn't realize until I got home and was bleeding. The water even hurt I couldn't stand to bathe. It took forever to get the wax from down there. I mean horrible. I think the lady really didn't know what the heck she was doing in the first place. I wish I could sue because when you go to these places you trust that they are professionals and will handle you with care. Also all the hair wasn't completely removed. After my second experience with this salon i am writing this .First time i went for mine hair done and second time i went for my kid.These people didn't know how to treat the customers.They are behaving very rudely to kids too.And it was the worst experience for my son.Everybody paying the same price.I dont her name even.At first itself we asked them "do u really have hair cut for kids"..they nodded very fastly .My son is 3 yrs old.He dont know to sit like an 60 yr old lady.All kids at this age will make little hesitations when they put scissors or clippers on their head.When she started she told me to hold his head.I did.Then she ordered hold like this hold like that what you r doing?hello am i working in their beauty salon.If they are ready to accept kids cut their responsibility we can help them by keeping our kids calm.Dont go with kids to this salon.Very bad poor worst service .First buisness people know how to treat their customers.They may be busy whole day but they should place a little smile on their face when they doing their job.Very bad people.I was very upset with their treatment.I would recommend dont go to this place.Find some other beauty salons on that mall place.i never had such experience before. read more
