Highly recommended. Found them on Yelp.. of course. I wanted some nice cigars to bring to a good friend whom i haven't seen for a while and works as an EMS essential worker. God bless them all. The lady (i feel like Jerry Lewis when i use that word) who was there was Ultra nice! Almost too nice so i initially thought "oh oh.. sales pitch coming" but i was wrong. Im cluless when it comes to cigar knowledge though I've been around connoisseurs. She went around suggesting different ones that were "nice cigars". She took the time to chat a bit... that alone set the tone. They have nice selection. I settled on three $10 cigars, one of em Poker which was the favorite for the gift recipient. I came here to meet some new friends and some old that I met at the IPCPR in 2009 in New Orleans. Ruben is a 100% class act, and very hospitable. He opened his doors to our large group with open arms and treated us all very well, comping some drinks along the way and passing out a small box of Tatuaje Little Monsters to thank us for our business. He has some rare cigars that are difficult to get a hold of and stock year round, namely some of the Fuente Hemingway Maduros. Furthermore, he had plenty of stock on the Little Monsters and even still had some Tatuaje Black Lanceros on the shelves. The shop is classy with plenty of seating and if you get hungry there are some good places to grab a bite to eat within walking distance. If I lived in the area, his shop would be my go-to B&M. read more

As the name implies, Ruben himself runs this shop and is ALWAYS there to take care of you. The selection is second to none as he has all the newest releases and latest brands to hit the market. If it's out there, Ruben has it and at a reasonable price too. He runs his shop like an old 'in town cigar store'...honest, friendly folks...tons of locals that welcome you and engage in great conversation...food coming in from local restaurants for his customers...the place is so cool. Once you get there and select a cigar and light up...time just flies because you're so comfortable hanging out there. Comfortable chairs & couches, people talking, smoking, discussing cigars, eating, drinking, watching something on the big TV...what an awesome place! It's like a time warp in there...it's like the old days when I was a kid in the 60s and my uncle would bring me in a cigar shop when he would pick up his brand and everyone was friendly, inviting, and made you feel comfortable as soon as you walked in the door. Great gem in the middle of Hackensacks' shopping district, right on Main St center to all major highways. Ruben's Smoke Stack has a walk in Humidor with an excellent variety of tasty treats that are all reasonably price for the the taking. This guy is mans man and has a great sense of hospitality that you notice as soon as walk through the door. His lounge area is is line with supple leather sofas and he sells non alcoholic drinks. From what I hear business men flock to this place as well as the average Joe and every one is treated the same. Ruben knows how to take care of his customers. I don't smoke often, maybe once a month. But I do know that this is my husband's favorite spot. It is small but intimate. You're always greeted by Ruben as you enter the door while he hangs out in the lounge with his customers as they enjoy a movie that you're more than welcome to sit in. I have been visiting different cigar shops around Northern Jersey that I read about in Cigar Snob magazine. Ruben's Smoke Stack is one of the best. Good location with plenty of parking in the rear of the building. The atmosphere is friendly with what looks like a crowd of regulars that make you feel comfortable.
