He was very nice and promised to be done as soon as he could; he's a one man team. I sat at a cafe for about 3.5 hours and then he notified me to come back. The car was sparkling clean inside and out -- he did a phenomenal job. I highly recommend Gobeyond for your car detailing service. I've trusted them with routine detailing and even had my vehicle ceramic coated here, which is why this situation was so disappointing. On my most recent visit, I paid extra for an interior and engine spiff up, but the interior was clearly not properly cleaned - surfaces were not properly wiped down and it appeared to have only been vacuumed. I also specifically asked that the inside of the hood be wiped due to salt buildup from recent snow and was told it would be taken care of. When I got home and opened the hood to check, the secondary hood safety latch was broken. This had never been an issue before and raises concern about potential damage while the vehicle was being handled. I reached out to Kian (owner/manager?) twice to ask whether they had any issues opening the hood, hoping to understand what happened and address a vehicle damage issue. Both messages were read, yet I never received a response. Mistakes happen, but when there is a possibility of expensive damage to a customer's vehicle - especially from a loyal, long-term customer - the lack of any response is highly disappointing and unprofessional. I was genuinely hoping for at least the common courtesy of a reply. UPDATE: repair cost was $350

DIY coin wash with a high pressure hose and detergent brush. These are all over the DMV but here's…read morewhy I like this one; they aren't stingy with the detergent or the water. Meaning: In an obvious attempt to reduce costs some places clearly reduce the water pressure and (water down) detergent flow which reduces the overall efficiency of the wash. It's soooo obvious when it's happening too because what you get is a barely sprinkling water hose from someone's house and no suds. Certainly not the intensity to clean rims, for example....or knock down off-road dirt/mud. The change machines are always functional and dispense quarters (vs tokens like others). They've got the hand vac of course along with the fragrance gun as I recall. No credit card capability here like some others. Good wash. Better than Billy's in Fort Washington or Speedy Clean in Waldorf. $2 is the minimum for a small car but realistically you're looking at about $3.50-$4 unless you plan on moving at double-time speed. 4 stars. It gets busy so plan accordingly.
