Look at my past reviews. This place has been on a downward spiral for years. I had to come in for a quick load, though I've been going to another laundromat further away. It is as bad as the most recent reviews say... inconsistent or weak dryers, dirty tables and floors, and they've taken out the phone that was previously used to get a hold of customer service. I spent way too much playing "dryer roulette" and will not come back. I'm sorry. read more

Rub a Dub Duds - The phone for "customer service" is gone, so buyer beware. - Laundry Services Near Me - Crystal Lake, Illinois

Dirty place, no air conditioning. No water or paper towls in the bathroom. The owner has run this place down

This place is a DUMP!!!! Half the machines don't work. I had a wash cycle stuck in rinse for almost an hour. The door was locked so I couldn't do anything about it. Texted the help number, only to get some auto generated ed reply about which location I was at. I replied and nothing. Had to wait for the rinse cycle to finally error out before I could open the door Of course my clothes were still popping wet and had to pay more money to run the load in another machine. Talking to other people in there, and being told that they never respond to problems. Avoid this place!!!!!! read more

WHAT A DUMP!!! Hand wash your clothes!!! This place is simply awful!!! Dirty, old disgusting!!! Had to use this in a pinch. The entire floor when you walk in flooded. The ceiling disgusting. The dryer smelled as if a fire happened. $30.00 to wash and dry 3 loads! I feel so sorry for anyone who has to come here. If not for convenience drive someplace else!! Pass it and keep driving!!! Felt I needed to add some additional info! After washing the clothes you couldn't smell any fabric softener or soap!! After putting 5.00 worth of quarters and drying towels, I came to the realization the dryer NEVER WAS BLOWING HOT AIR! Drying the clothes was like playing musical dryers. Watching a flame inside the dryer was crazy, yes an actual flame! The laundry cart wheels are riddled with hair, saw a couple of mouse turds on the folding tables. So so terrible! This is like some apocalyptic leftover nightmare of a Laundromat. This place is unsafe, disgustingly dirty, it should be closed down 100%!! I stand by the post earlier in the evening. This is truly an awful shit hole! Keep going!!! read more

I just stopped here to do laundry for the first time n the place is dirty, bathroom door is locked, they turn down the heat on the dryers so they can save money on their heat bc that is how they get people to spend more money. They have this telephone box to call to get a refund which to me is really stupid when u can have someone here from Sunday to Sunday since it's open 24 hours. Their roof has water spots on it which means the roof needs to be replaced which isn't that expensive to do read more

The actual washers and dryers are fine I have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is the customer service. They are very rude at least to me. The change machines have Huge signs on them that read. Any change from machine must be used here. Not using change here is stealing and we will prosecute. WTF??? First off when you put your dollar in a change machine you are buying the change and you are now the legal owner of it. Anything you do with it now is completely up to you. It isn't even possible to prosecute someone for that and it makes them look like jerks and morons that do not understand law. Secondly- By threating legal action on someone for something that isn't even Illegal is against the law and can be heavily fined. I literally live right next to this place but refuse to go here because the place makes you feel unwelcome and I don't like people who threaten me with nonsense cause I wanna take a couple of the leftover quarters home or whatever. read more

I've been coming to this company for years and they're always welcome and inviting. love the staff here!

Wonderful atmosphere and great staff. Definitely worth a visit! Wouldn't go anywhere else for my services.

The establishment is pretty filthy and washers are outdated and do not work. I only needed to wash 4 comforters and a few sheets and costed me more than it should. One machine took my money while another left my comforter soaked so I had to rehash again. I put them in separately and used the big ones to be safe, the only upside is it's quiet & no one's there, but now I know why. Not only Is the place a waste of space but the owner made sure to comment sarcastically about my not using the customer service phone. My reply, I do not need a refund, that's what it's for. I simply want to wash and be done. So it goes to show that the customer service of the owner is unprofessional and it shows in how poorly the establishment is kept. I do not recommend this place. read more

This "business" should be shut down. The floors are filthy, counters filthy, dust and grime coats every surface. Multiple washers and dryers broke; some missing doors. I did 4 loads of laundry and EVERY single clothing item came out dirty. I used 4 SEPARATE washers. I wasted $2.50 each for a small load of laundry just for me to have to redo it in a different washer which is more expensive. You can tell the washers are broken by how loud they are, they need to be replaced. I had gotten on the service line with the call phone they have and the operator hung up, leaving me with a dial town. COMPLETELY unprofessional. I was not rude nor did I deserve this. I will be contacting someone higher up in regards to this business; it is in my beliefs that it should be shut down until a more suitable owner can purchase it. The bad reviews go back over a year ago and it seems as if no improvements have been made. I recommend you never come to this place. I'd rather use my bathtub or hose to wash my clothing at this point. The pictures don't show how terribly nasty this place is. read more

The dryers do not dry. I had put in 5 quarters in each dryer and they didn't even get hot. I call the customer service line and was told someone would be right there to help. 40 minutes later no one showed. I once again called the customer service line and no one answered. I left a message and no reply. There is no one working on Sunday to help. read more

Be very careful which washers you choose. I went today. I chose 2 small old fashioned top loaders as I didn't have much but I wanted a lot of agitation, not just the slopping back and forth of a front loader. (I have one of those at home (Bosch) and it's horrible. Laundry never smells clean no matter what. But, that's another subject). I selected hot water for both machines and the cycle said 25 minutes. After 10 minutes, the trickle of COLD water was still entering the machines. After 15 minutes the agitation started and was so gentle that the top items never changed position in the washer. After a few minutes the rinse began. The only good thing we're both machines had a good spin. I went elsewhere and re-washed everything. Never again. read more

Horrible. I come to use the large washers to wash comforters and etc. Loaded one and had to unload it because the softener port was all plugged up and filled with nasty shit...only to find out that the next machine I put them into was just as bad! I already had put money into it so I was basically screwed. The machines are also starting to get a funky odor just like their bathroom. Never and paper towels in the bathroom and no hot water. If you notice, even when you set the machines to "hot", they are the same temp as any other cycle! I am willing no to bet that this place has absolutely no hot water at any machine. Find another place and save your money. read more

Rub-dub-dubs is the only place I choose to do my laundry, the people working there are always so friendly and helpful and the building is overall kept very clean and organized! Any time I have a large order to drop off it's done promptly and thoroughly and not to mention always smells great. I'm not sure how it used to be run, reading some of the previous reviews, but I can assure you it's wonderful service and friendly staff that have never done less that exceptional when it comes to my expectations. I live in the neighborhood and see many businesses come and go but Rub-A-dub-dubs is a place that continues to service the whole neighborhood and make everyone's laundry experience that much easier and efficient. read more

I travel 30 minutes away to bring my comforters to be washed in their super load machines. It's quick, easy and affordable. The laundromat is extremely clean, has amble seating, folding areas and carts. There is also a change machine on the premises. I've been using this laundromat for years and never had a bad experience. read more

Incredibly fast machines and the manager is very friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

This laundromat was way too expensive. You have to purchase a card for 3.00 and then put money on the card before you can use it. The 3.00 is only to purchase the card. It also costs .40 per 10 minutes of drying time. I travel full time all over the country and have used laundromats in many states and have never been to one this expensive. When I said something to the attendant she stated I wouldn't find anything cheaper because the owner owns all the laundries in the area. Luckily this wasn't true as we found one right down the road in McHenry (Soap Box) which was cleaner and very reasonably priced. I did four loads for $10.00 and used real money! read more

I have not been to this laundry at in years and I was surprised how it had gone downhill. It is dirty and disgusting and I will not be returning, I will take my business elsewhere. read more
