Let me start by saying--I'm not someone who looks to tear a business down. You can check my past reviews and see that. But this was hands down the worst sushi I've ever had... and I'm not even sure it qualifies as sushi. I started with the gyoza (dumplings), and honestly--they were excellent. Easily top 3 I've ever had. That got me excited for the sushi. Then the rolls came out. They were massive, piping hot, drenched in a brown sauce, and topped with what they called "spicy crab." First bite? Complete shock. It was still hot and had this strange, almost chemical oil taste. I didn't spit it out out of respect for the people sitting nearby, but it was bad. I tried a second roll thinking maybe it was just that one--but nope, same exact taste. This time I had to grab a napkin and spit it out. At that point, I asked for a drink refill just to get the taste out of my mouth and debated saying something--but honestly, I didn't feel like dealing with the back-and-forth of explaining that the food was basically inedible. I asked for the check and left after only one bite of each roll. For reference, the rolls were the "Caroline" and the one right above it on the menu. I'd strongly recommend staying away from their sushi--period. Ended up going next door to Cracker Barrel just to salvage the night. read more

I stopped in for sushi today. It had been several years since I ate sushi at this restaurant. I definitely will not eat sushi there again. Although the staff were very nice, I found the sushi to be "mushy."I just didn't get the impression that it was fresh. I also found the rice to be very "gummy." read more

I guess choosing sushi in a small town was a bad choice because the cooked food and the sushi we're simply not up to standards. Have been here several times and have always thought it was fresh and good. Read a bunch of reviews and thought I'd try the Singapore noodles and give their Sushi a try. Very happy with everything. Some of the freshest tasting sushi I've had in a very long time. read more

Disappointment. After several positive visits and great food - today was disappointing. Singapore noodles was outstanding as always - hot and our soup was delicious - and the steamed dumpling were great. But unfortunately their advertised Thai basil has NO basil in it - just alleged basil paste - but they forgot to include the basil flavor. Staff is very friendly and food is very good! I had the teriyaki chicken bento box which was very delicious; I recommend the dumpling soup with it. The sushi was also very good; the california roll that came with the bento box is good and I also had the Crunchy Crab roll which was also good. The portions were very large for the price and I had enough for leftovers. The restaurant itself was very quiet, and had a very nice atmosphere. It was very clean. Living in the area for over a year now. Looking for some lunch I looked in Yelp and found this place. So many times in the area dealing with vehicles registrations and never saw it. Anyway, this place have plenty of seating space inside, and it's clean. We were seated immediately, received good service. Food arrived timely, freshly made and very tasty. The Fried Dumplings were really good, the House Lo Mein was good and portion was huge. Will definitely order ahead or come back to sit and enjoy. This is our new favorite spot for hibachi. They are the only place I've been to where the meat is cooked perfectly to order and never overcooked. Service is attentive, everything we've ordered is flavorful. I'm always surprised at how quiet and slow the restaurant seems to be when we come. They have a bar, and everything is clean. read more

We have been running hard lately in r truck and eating way too much fast food. I saw this on Yelp as we were drinking north. Reviews looked good so here we r. Yes it's very plain on the outside in this strip mall bldg. near the Enterprise car rental. We looked over food menu and decided to have the Hibatchi. Well and some crab puffs plus soup AND salad! Wow we never had so many puffs that we almost couldn't eat! Huge plate for $6.50... we ate them all eventually. The food came fast and plentiful. I had the chicken and shrimp Hibatchi. The shrimp were huge!! The chicken was a bit salty for me but we asked for Teri sauce and that was good. He had the steak, chicken and sprimp. Everything was wonderful. Wow we feel so much better eating REAL food. The service was fast and the inside is pretty. Pricing is great as well. I will bookmark this place for next time. Told waitress I wanted to try something good and new, she assured me the Cantonese crispy noodles were good, it was noodles fried crispy. We stopped here in a whim as we were driving through on 95. I am pleasantly surprised! The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is super friendly. The prices are reasonable. The dining room is large and well decorated and maintained. We ordered crab rangoon, chicken wings, sushi deluxe combo, and chicken rice noodle soup. I have no complaints whatsoever. The soup was the best we've had of it's kind. My only request would be for some additional ingredients in the fried rice. It seemed a little plain, but everything else was great. I will give credit where it's due....the food is good; however, it is a pain to try to order ahead and the wait is long. For several Sundays, I have tried calling ahead to order, but the phone goes straight to voicemail. I then proceed to go in person to order, and then ask about their phones. The response is always "we've had calls back to back", BUT, funny when I get there, no calls are coming in . I ask how long for a takeout, and it's 45 mins to an hour....no thank you! I never expect the best in this town. But, tonight, I was craving Japanese, so we decided to try. It was fabulous. The tuna was firm, sweet, and so fresh. The rice in the California rolls was seasoned properly, and the snapper was great too. The salad was crisp and fresh, the soup had a generous amount of both seaweed and tofu. Hot sour soup was kind of awful. Things floating in there I can't identify. The entree steak and chicken hibachi was like another reviewer said was the steak was fine but the chicken was inedible because of the salt. Might've been a marinade or msg for all I know. Ate 2 pieces and decided not to punish myself any further. I left 8 pieces on the plate. The fried rice was basically brown rice and the vegetables I dare say were Birds Eye frozen medley. The tea was fine although the wAter wasn't really hot enough to release the flavor of the one bag for the pot. Only gave a second star because the server was nice and the food came quick. For a place that seems to be in the middle of nowhere, the sushi was good. Not amazing, but definitely satisfying. The rice noodle dish I got though was gross. It was slimy with oil and tasted... not good. My stomach was immediately starting to not feel good after a few bites. For only $13.95 you get 24 pieces of sushi: crab, salmon, tuna roll. This is more than enough to fill up a hungry person. I ordered tempura as I have done many times and it was refried bc it was so overcooked it was dark dark brown and full of oil and the rice was cold. I called about it bc I wanted to give them a chance to correct this extremely disappointing awful tasting dish. They agreed to make good on it so I ordered house rice noodles thinking they can't get that wrong. Well the shrimp chicken and beef was so small you needed a microscope to see them. Again I have ordered this before so I know what it has been before this one. I had to throw it away so I got TWO awful dishes in 2 days straight. They have the freshest and best tuna sushi anywhere. Sushi plates take a bit, but are so worth the wait. The avocado roll plate was fresh and oh so tasty. Well this was a very pleasant surprise for this area. Our server Rachel was amazing. We had three courses and tried all sorts of dishes. Soup was perfect. Sushi was delicious and I appreciate them adding tempura flakes even though the roll didn't come with it. The sesame chicken noodles were a nice twist on the usual sesame chicken dish with rice. It was so yummy then our main course came out we got a love boat for two and a choice of two special rolls which we got the yama roll and white angel roll. It also came with two soups of your choice.
