My son (26) became a CW after completing college and hating the job he got after graduating. I am proud of him and how excited he is about the future. They provide a job search service and get the student prepared for the work force. Luke and his team are incredibly professional instructors who are truly dedicated to bringing out the best in each student. Ladies, if you're feeling a bit intimidated or worried that you'll be treated differently, don't be. The only thing you really need to survive AFA is a sense of humor (that goes for the guys too) I remember sitting in college, debating whether it was the right path for me or if I should take the leap and pursue a trade. I'm beyond glad I did. I have absolutely no regrets about attending AFA. Ralph, Ronnie, Doc, and Kyle not only taught me during my time there, but they continue to teach and support me even after graduation. Whether I need extra practice or advice, before an interview or for a weld test their doors are always open. Luke, Robert, Marcio, and Gus have also been incredibly supportive and instrumental in helping me grow in my welding career. Never in a million years did I think I'd find myself in aerospace, but here I am and I couldn't have done it without the amazing team at AFA. And of course, shoutout to the wonderful ladies in the office, they are always a delight to talk to and often the highlight of my day. Whatever I needed, they were there to help. P.S. Sorry it took me so long to leave a review... I've been busy working at the jobs you guys helped me get!

Immediately after finishing, I was hired by the same company where I completed my internship. Through this opportunity, I was able to gain valuable experience as a Case Manager, later work for the county as a Prevention Specialist and Counselor, and eventually serve as an Assistant Program Director at a residential facility. When I was ready to obtain my CADC, my instructor at Healthstaff, Miguel Palos, went above and beyond to support me. He provided exam review sessions, guidance on study materials, and insight into what to expect on test day. Thanks to his support, I passed my exam with confidence and without anxiety. I have recommended Healthstaff's program to many people and will continue to do so--especially the classes taught by Miguel. This program truly prepared me for success in the field.

Dear prospective students: proceed with caution. I chose AUMT over a school closer to me because…read morethey offered an EKG Certification at the end of the MA program. What happened four weeks into my 10 week program? They TEXT ME to tell me that they are *closing down* the Santa Fe Springs campus, and ask me if I'm willing to double my commute time by going to the Ontario campus to get my EKG Certification, or tripling my commute for their main Carson campus. They weren't even professional enough to send an email - they text me this information, lolz. If you are neurodivergent, and don't learn via lecture/being spoken to for four hours every night - and you have a job? This is *not* the school for you. As someone who works full-time, 10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday so I can attend the five hour in-person lab on Fridays, and learns absolutely nothing from the lecture model? It would be nice to use the required four hours Monday through Thursday evenings to, Idk - LEARN the material required to pass the certification test. But I can't. I'm required to keep my camera on, zone out, and pretend I'm taking in anything from said lecture. The majority of my learning takes place during the in-person lab on Fridays, from the providers at my current place of employment, and during my actual "time off" on the weekends because the four hours of required attendance "lecture,"Monday through Thursday, teaches me *nothing.* To be honest, I'm lucky I already work in the medical field, and at a clinic with providers and nurses that actually care, so they've done more explaining and teaching than AUMT has this past month. In summary, I can't wait for this nightmare to end. Two days of *heavy lecture,* covering multiple chapters/subjects, and two days of listening to my fellow students present a slide show or their arts and crafts project, for 10 weeks is torture.

That's exactly what the HVAC program at UEI College offered me: not just technical training, but a controlled detonation of potential turned into skill. From the very beginning, the instructors didn't waste time with fluff. They were professionals--battle-hardened from the field--who spoke the language of compressors, refrigerant flow, voltage drops, and pressure diagnostics with the ease of a symphony conductor leading an orchestra. And like any good alchemist of air and temperature, they expected excellence... and instilled it. What stood out most was the balance--equal parts theory and hands-on application. Wiring a thermostat, rebuilding a condenser unit, calculating superheat--all of it felt less like coursework and more like shaping a fine explosive: delicate, exact, and beautiful when it all comes together. And the EPA certification? Secured. Career services? Unrelenting. They didn't just train you and shove you into the world--they armed you, with opportunity and confidence. UEI didn't give me a job. It gave me a skill set sharp enough to carve my own path. And that, dear reader, is far more valuable than any temporary safety net. If you're ready to take control of your future, to learn a craft where every degree matters and every wire has meaning--then this is your battlefield. And trust me... it's a glorious one.

One of…read morethe zone in the front yard didn't work and the valve was leaking and my backyard sprinklers were a mess. I tried calling around but no one was picking up. I was SOO FORTUNATE that I called Irrigator technical services. Richard picked up the phone immediately. With a friendly and welcoming voice, he asked what he can do for me. I explained to him my sprinkler problems and he asked me to send some photos of my lawn valve and timer box. He looked at the photos and then packed his truck with the needed supplies and off he went to my home on the same day. He arrived as promised, assessed the problems and knew what to do! He is very knowledgeable and it's obvious from talking to him that he's a master in his craft. He teaches courses to have other aspiring irrigation technician certified. He was showing me and explaining every step of what he was doing. He even gave me valuable insights and advices on how irrigation system work and how to care for my lawn. My irrigation system needed quite a few repairs, but he knew exactly what to do. He replaced one of the backyard valve system, front yard's diaphragm from the anti-siphon filter, redid the timer wiring, upgraded my timer box, and replace some sprinkler heads to the appropriate types for the garden. He was so nice to talk to and I can tell he genuinely loves what he does and takes satisfaction in helping homeowners get their irrigation system to work to get their lawn and garden in top shape. He knows landscaping very well and was explaining what kind of trees, scrubs and plants I have and how they grow and how I should water them. During his work, he needed some parts from his office. As promised, he came back the next day, and finished the job and now my home has a strong working sprinkler system and an improved timer box that I completely love! I am glad I found a quality and honest irrigation specialist that I can rely on to get the job done. I would definitely seek Richard and Irrigator Technical Service for any future needs. His pricing and quality of work was more than fair. Apparently, he also runs a shop that sell irrigation parts and he partakes in talk shows to help other homeowners get advice on lawn care. Richard is a great guy and a pleasure doing business with!

While the enrollment…read moreprocess was quick and the hands-on training with my instructor Oscar was a strong part of the experience, the program was ultimately undermined by inconsistent communication and lack of administrative support. Oscar was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to student success. Being in a one-on-one setting allowed for focused instruction, and he even continued to assist me after he left the school--something I truly appreciated. However, after the classroom portion ended, the experience became difficult. I completed my classes in mid-January and was told I was ready to begin my externship, but didn't receive placement or meaningful communication until mid-March. I had to follow up repeatedly just to get updates. The clinic I was placed at was also in Los Angeles, which was not convenient given the school's Ontario location. Additionally, I received several forwarding emails that I was meant to be out of, other student email responses from a licensing issues--something that should have been handled more professionally and privately. While I'm thankful for the instruction I received from Oscar, the lack of structure and follow-through on the administrative side left a bitter part to my experience and was slightly misled by some of the faulty 5 star reviews left
