*Client Perspective*…read more I do not recommend this place for paid services (face) as you can get the same value by going to a professional electrologist and have the confidence that they are doing it correctly and quickly. My issue is not with the electrologists as they are learning, but with the business not being fair in how they charge for services. Professionals only charge for hair removal time, but here the owner is including check-in, setup, and catapherisis (at the end) time which is usually 20-25 min. For an hour appt today, I had 35 minutes of actual treatment. On a prior visit, I had 5 minutes of hair removal for an hour session because the "senior" technician had not worked on the chin and could not remove the hair despite poking me dozens of times with the needle/probe. I brought these issues to the owner's attention because it is unethical how they are charging customers and not being transparent. Instead of using this feedback to improve business practices, she suggested I find another place. If the owner wants customers to be altruistic by giving students practice, then she should not be charging for any services since it is already benefiting her for-profit school and students. I am barely clearing my chin out in 8 sessions, as students remove approx. 40-50 hairs per hour compared to over 200 hairs by professionals. The value for your money and time is the same as going to a professional. I have found several electrologists in the area that are $90 per hour. The $20 per hour will cost the same in the long-run if the professional is removing 4x the rate as a student and more experienced to provide permanent results.

When you're inside one of the instructors is walking around and supervising in case a student has a question or needs help with something. And they're all there to learn so they try harder to give you what you want than a "professional" would because they know that people will probably critique them more than someone from Super Cuts or somewhere. It takes a while for a haircut because, like I said, they take their time to make sure that they get it right and give you what you want. I would rather the student cutting my hair take their time and also ask the instructor for tips if they feel uncomfortable rather than going into a salon and telling them what I want and then have them give me their interpretation of it that I end up hating. I understood it was a Sunday class (great sounds convenient) It was like 5 consecutive weeks in a row with a two week break in between but each class I understood was Sundays from 8:30am to 5pm or 9 to 6 (or something to that affect with an hour lunch) BUT literally I DID NOT get out of there until after 10 PM sometimes midnight, not only did this inconvenience my whole family (and I have little kids that are in elementary school) it threw off our whole week. I might add, being in a class for that long as a student ...I wasn't even retaining any of the information after hour six. I don't think this type of learning is beneficial for anybody (in my opinion). I think the classes should be broken up and spread out and maybe no more than six hours per class. It would be even great to do like a four hour class. After that all the information I learned I did not retain, unfortunately. And if you try to leave early, they made it feel like a big deal and it was frowned upon. It was a stressful bummer. Other than that, I think it was a great program. I like the products that they used that I bought from them When I signed up, I understood the cost of the program was one price and then the kit was an extra thousand, but it was "optional"...BUT when you get there, it's very obvious that you have to use the products that they have you buy from them. I saw one girl bring her kit, but she wasn't using it. They asked her to buy their kit and use that one. We had to use all the makeup that they provided which was great Makeup. (when you buy the kit, it comes together you don't have to purchase anything individually, which I thought was great). BUT if you're on a budget, this is probably not the program for you. My total investment was around $4500. I attended in Aug 2024. I like that at the end we got a certificate and they had a little graduation that was really fun. Also a few times they bought us pizza or burritos which was nice and unexpected. I appreciated that as well.
