The left is my roots(copper) and the right is the rest of my hair(brown)

So the picture of my hair was how my hair looked before it got messed up. I came in for a blowout by the night student Jasmine and she requested to color match my hair, even though it wasn't really grown out and I believe she wanted to do it for her portfolio as she was going to graduate from the program soon.... The color I had before disaster was highly sought out and you easily charge someone 600 bucks to do it. Anyways, for some reason, they couldn't color match the hair I had so they decided to do something similar and I agreed as long as I could dye my hair back to the original color by myself once it's grown out. The side-by-side is the roots and the rest of my hair. The roots are a copper color and the rest of my hair was brown. After contacting Jasmine and showing her my hair, she said that it wasn't brown that because my hair was already still light on the bottom. It was just coming out more rich. I didn't know coming out more rich meant the color completely changes lmaooo(it doesnt she just doesnt wanna take responsibility) and then all that was the reconciliation was that I could come back and let the instructor look at it so there was no clear pathway as to how my hair was going to get fixed. I ended up fixing my hair by myself, but I was lucky that I had already healthy hair to be able to dye it at the amount of times I did and use color remover multiple times. She made me leave with wet hair, and when I said that the bottom half of my hair looked brown. She just said it was because it was wet, which is the dumbest excuse and it just was to get me out of there to not cause a scene in front of her peers and instructor. i know RCC does NOT let students mix the dyes for this specific situation, they have the instructors doing the mixing at all times. So yeah, thats the story, get a blowout only at this point! She might not go far in this industry since she couldnt even take accountability for this mistake, cant have an ego. if i could get to this color by myself with no schooling how hard can it really be?????

I'm 1 Day away from graduating from the cosmetologist program. "You get what you put into it" I enrolled knowing I would give it my all and can proudly say that. My blood sweat and tears were worth going through it all.The program is consistent with what you will need to advance in the beauty industry as a cosmetologist. Mr. M! Thank you for all the lessons and for showing me all the cool tricks that will help me in being a great and successful stylist. Mr. Leo you rock! Thank you for being patient with me and for always answering all my questions! Ms. Jessica thank you for being so approachable and kind! You're doing great! Ms. Shanda... thank you for filling my mind with so much knowledge. You inspire me to want to get all my licenses! Below is some of the the work I did on clients while enrolled in my his school.

I just graduated from Salon Sucess Academy in Corona! Overall had a Good Experience! Glad I did it for myself! It was Easy to get to started. Process was simple. Mrs. Charlene was amazing at setting everything up. They have Multiple start dates. They offer day & night classes. Classes are very basic fundamentals! It's a lot of book work & tests vs hands on modern training. Highly enjoyed taking classes and working with Mr. Leo. Also enjoyed Mr. M and his daily encouragement & patience. Extremely glad to have made friends with so many of my fellow Cosmo girls! Below are pictures of some of the work I was blessed to do in the Salon at Corona!

Before choosing a school, I made many phone calls and did my research. But the moment my husband and I visited Salon Success Academy, I knew it was the right place for me to pursue my passion for skincare and further my education. From the very beginning, Ms. Charlene was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I was fortunate to have Mrs. Shaunda as my Esthetics instructor throughout my entire journey--from Basics to Advanced Skincare. She filled each day with not only deep knowledge but also real-life experiences from her time in the beauty industry. Her teaching went far beyond the standard curriculum. One of the highlights of our class was making bath bombs with essential oils and natural ingredients--just one example of the many hands-on, enriching activities she incorporated. Mrs. Shaunda's dedication to preparing students for the state board exam is unmatched. She always greeted us with a smile and words of encouragement. Her support helped me feel confident and ready for the next steps in my career. The school itself is well-equipped with all the tools and resources needed to succeed in the skincare industry. The instructors are focused on your success, both in passing the state exam and in building a strong professional foundation. Ms. Blackshear, the Director, maintains an open-door policy and is always available to answer questions and help you prepare for your exams. One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at SSA was discovering my love for mentoring and training others. I had the opportunity to guide fellow students in professionalism, building confidence, and getting real results for first-time facial clients. I was honored to be recognized with the Ambassador and PHD awards, which allowed me to express my leadership qualities and passion for skincare even more. My experience at Salon Success Academy has truly been one of the best chapters of my life. I'm so grateful for everything I learned and for the incredible people who supported me along the way. Also to Ms Natasha the business Foundation Teacher with her fun bubbly personality made our class so enjoyable.

My experience at this hair school has been truly amazing. I graduate on January 2nd, and I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I received throughout my time here. I would especially like to thank the instructors--Mr. Leo (we miss you at this campus!) Ms. Nisie, and big thank you to Ms. Megan, Mrs. Blackshear, and Mrs. Charlene--for their patience, encouragement, and dedication to helping us succeed. Beyond the positives, this program will truly test you--mentally, physically, and emotionally. You will be challenged in your determination, your ability to show up consistently, and your accountability. Along the way, some people will make the journey easier, while others may make it more difficult. You may even lose a great instructor and gain someone you don't connect with as strongly. However, the experience teaches you to remain professional, find respect where you can, and keep pushing forward no matter the circumstances. I am thankful for everyone I had the opportunity to meet and for the knowledge each instructor was willing to share. This school has helped build a strong foundation for my future, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a career in the hair industry--it is an experience that truly prepares you for the real world.

This place is AMAZING!! Waaaay better than Paul Mitchell school in Orange County and better than any salon I have used in the last 14 years since I moved here and why? The instructor Mr Leo! He is a true stylist and I know good stylists as my family had a salon as well as my best friend's family had one in Chicago so I was lucky to grow up in this industry. Unlike Paul Mitchell. that completely ruined my long hair and had to cut it off to my chin because the instructors do not help their students, Mr Leo actually assists in the cutting and color selection. It was incredible, he was a hands on instructor educating the student as she was cutting my hair and he kept walking around checking in to ensure she was on point, always available for questions, very approachable. At the end, the student and I both knew the lengths were not even but I said we would address after the blow out and Mr Leo came to check and he finished the final cut while explaining to the student. THAT is how you train. BRAVO!! Hair cuts and colors are not cheap, I have never walked out looking even remotely like the inspiration picture, it's really sad. When you come here, you will actually get a professional cut and color because Mr Leo is the final stylist and I will now definitely keep coming back! Please come and support this school, the students need the practice, don't be afraid of doing extremes, it's good practice for them and inexpensive for you Below is my $269 orange cut from a year ago I had to let grow out, my inspiration picture and the final cut and color

Lindsey didn't a great job on my nails.

Went in today to have my nails done. $14.50 for an acrylic fill with gel polish and a design on two fingers. Can't beat the price. Lindsey did a fantastic job. I tipped her 173%! These students work hard to learn their craft. Bring your patience and know that it's going to take a bit longer. Nice and clean environment. Enjoyable conversation. Can't wait to go back for more.

I since graduated from the Corona campus and while I started my journey later in my years, older than most and feeling extremely out of place, Ms. Charlene in admissions was inviting, kind, informative and professional, which was appealing to me, aside from my Lord and Savior, placing me where He wanted me to be. And in the interim I made friendships with some wonderful ladies who made me feel at home. Atmosphere is very structured, which is understandable to avoid a lot of chaos. Adhering to guidelines and by coming to school as often as you can was a victory I had already won. As for the curriculum, it could use more hands on with haircutting and color, more in depth color theory, discussions on hair care products and when to use them but overall, I learned more than I knew and I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity. They offer workshops and special event outings that can help you gain insight and network your brand which can help build your clientele. Clients you work on when you're on the floor that love what you do send good referrals and the tips are nice too! The director, Mr. M, has been in the beauty industry for a very long time. He is very passionate at what he does , knowledgeable, very quick and efficient, that alone had driven me the whole way through. Remembering to have these same attributes , will be your key to success at anything you set your mind out to do. Here's some pictures of some of the things I got to do. Blessed of luck!!

    Love my hair !

Great customer service. I got my service done by Samantha and I absolutely love my hair . I admit I was a little skeptical at first, but definitely five stars.!

*Client Perspective*…read more I do not recommend this place for paid services (face) as you can get the same value by going to a professional electrologist and have the confidence that they are doing it correctly and quickly. My issue is not with the electrologists as they are learning, but with the business not being fair in how they charge for services. Professionals only charge for hair removal time, but here the owner is including check-in, setup, and catapherisis (at the end) time which is usually 20-25 min. For an hour appt today, I had 35 minutes of actual treatment. On a prior visit, I had 5 minutes of hair removal for an hour session because the "senior" technician had not worked on the chin and could not remove the hair despite poking me dozens of times with the needle/probe. I brought these issues to the owner's attention because it is unethical how they are charging customers and not being transparent. Instead of using this feedback to improve business practices, she suggested I find another place. If the owner wants customers to be altruistic by giving students practice, then she should not be charging for any services since it is already benefiting her for-profit school and students. I am barely clearing my chin out in 8 sessions, as students remove approx. 40-50 hairs per hour compared to over 200 hairs by professionals. The value for your money and time is the same as going to a professional. I have found several electrologists in the area that are $90 per hour. The $20 per hour will cost the same in the long-run if the professional is removing 4x the rate as a student and more experienced to provide permanent results.

From the moment I stepped in to the first Audition I saw nothing but pure professionalism from Ms. TJ, Ms. Daisy, and the entire staff. At 4 years old, this was my daughter's first experience in a schooling environment away from her parents, so needless to say I was a bit nervous to leave her. But the smile on her face when I picked her up the first day, and the speed with which she picked up the skills of acting and modeling during the weeks that followed spoke volumes about her teacher, Miss Daisy's, teaching abilities. She would always tell me that Miss Daisy was very sweet and she learned a lot from her. Miss Daisy was great at keeping the children engaged despite their youthful attention spans. She was able to show my child her potential in a very loving way, creating an up building and positive environment for the kids and, consequently, my daughter has thrived in her acting abilities in a very short amount of time. She also did a great job keeping us parents involved and informed as to the homework assignments and needs for the program. She was readily available whenever I called or texted her, which showed that she cares a lot for her students and is committed to doing her utmost for them. As a 15- year Producer/Director I commend West Coast Talent for the way that you have formed my daughter, preparing her for our most competitive and difficult industry. I will always be grateful to you for the big head start that you have given my little girl has on her career. I am confident that you will see the fruit of your labors very soon as her career begins because there is no doubt in my mind that after such training, success for my daughter will be inevitable.
