They are charging a whopping $6,000 for an apprenticeship, which is illegal in California. They make orientation mandatory and only during this session do they reveal the hefty cost, hoping to catch you off guard. They begin orientation with a sob story, then compare their prices to school tuition to make it sound like a good deal. It's clear they're preying on people who don't know better. They have no written proof to back their program up, but they still make you sign a contract committing to these ridiculous fees. I posted an honest review before, which they promptly deleted, proving they're trying to silence those who speak out. Beware of their shady tactics and avoid them at all costs. There are better, more transparent ways to get an apprenticeship!

They don't stay on top of their business and will retaliate against you if you decide to contact state board with concerns of your apprenticeship. They lie about a lot and once you call them out on it they will tell you that they're going to file a claim that you are harassing them when in fact all you want is to get your papers sent in to state board in a timely manner. Please do your research and don't go with the cheapest easiest looking school. They will jerk you around and lie about everything.

I met with Transfer Counselor Botra Moeung at San Bernardino Valley College thinking I was ready to…read moretransfer into a BSN program. I explained that I was completing my science prerequisites at another school and was almost finished, and that I mainly needed guidance on my general education classes. He pointed out I was still missing classes and that my original education plan was not designed for transferring to a bachelor's program. I was not aware of that and genuinely believed I was ready, so I asked for help understanding what I needed and how to move forward. At that point, his attitude changed. He became dismissive and clearly did not want to help once he realized I wasn't ready to transfer. I had taken time off work for this appointment, so I asked if he could at least help me map out the remaining classes. He responded with visible frustration handling papers abruptly and aggressively marking them with his red pen. While reviewing my transcript, he made a judgmental comment about how many classes I had dropped (even though I would retake them and pass). I explained that I had been my father's caregiver for 15 years while he was seriously ill and that he recently passed away, which impacted my timeline but now allows me to focus on moving forward. Instead of showing any understanding or professionalism, he continued without acknowledging what I shared. This was an incredibly discouraging and uncomfortable experience. If you are looking for guidance, support, or basic professionalism, I would not recommend Counselor Botra Moeung.
