The other Star because I appreciate the owner is an actual talented makeup artist and has over 20 years of experience. I can't give a full five stars because the program was set up really weird. I understood it was a Sunday class (great sounds convenient) It was like 5 consecutive weeks in a row with a two week break in between but each class I understood was Sundays from 8:30am to 5pm or 9 to 6 (or something to that affect with an hour lunch) BUT literally I DID NOT get out of there until after 10 PM sometimes midnight, not only did this inconvenience my whole family (and I have little kids that are in elementary school) it threw off our whole week. I might add, being in a class for that long as a student ...I wasn't even retaining any of the information after hour six. I don't think this type of learning is beneficial for anybody (in my opinion). I think the classes should be broken up and spread out and maybe no more than six hours per class. It would be even great to do like a four hour class. After that all the information I learned I did not retain, unfortunately. And if you try to leave early, they made it feel like a big deal and it was frowned upon. It was a stressful bummer. Other than that, I think it was a great program. I like the products that they used that I bought from them When I signed up, I understood the cost of the program was one price and then the kit was an extra thousand, but it was "optional"...BUT when you get there, it's very obvious that you have to use the products that they have you buy from them. I saw one girl bring her kit, but she wasn't using it. They asked her to buy their kit and use that one. We had to use all the makeup that they provided which was great Makeup. (when you buy the kit, it comes together you don't have to purchase anything individually, which I thought was great). BUT if you're on a budget, this is probably not the program for you. My total investment was around $4500. I attended in Aug 2024. I like that at the end we got a certificate and they had a little graduation that was really fun. Also a few times they bought us pizza or burritos which was nice and unexpected. I appreciated that as well.

The class is very thorough so you are not left doubting your ability to work in TV, film or with professional photographers. Marylu showed me tricks and tips for keeping makeup looking fresh and proper technique. Not the junk you see all the rest of the world following on Instagram and You Tube. That stuff is trash! Go to Cammua and get trained by professionals who have worked on celebrities and have years of experience under their belt. Thank you Marylu! They don't stay on top of their business and will retaliate against you if you decide to contact state board with concerns of your apprenticeship. They lie about a lot and once you call them out on it they will tell you that they're going to file a claim that you are harassing them when in fact all you want is to get your papers sent in to state board in a timely manner. Please do your research and don't go with the cheapest easiest looking school. They will jerk you around and lie about everything.

What began as a simple A/C replacement in November 2023 turned into a year-long ordeal of equipment failures, property damage, and abysmal customer service. 1. Faulty Installation and Persistent Issues: - New Lennox condenser began leaking within two weeks of installation (11/18/23) - Despite photographic evidence, owner "Manny" dismissed it as "just manufacturer oil" - Leak worsened, spreading to concrete (11/29/23) - Multiple service calls resulted in band-aid solutions - A/C unit frequently froze, leaving us without cooling for days in 100+ degree weather - It took nearly a year (until 10/2/24) to finally get the faulty condenser replaced under manufacturer warranty 2. Severe Property Damage: - During a maintenance visit (7/26/23), the technician used a highly corrosive cleaner - This chemical etched off my concrete sealer, leaving a scab-like appearance - Damage extended to my garage door and wrought iron fence when they carelessly rinsed and splashed the chemical - Immediate complaints were met with empty promises and no action 3. Deceptive and Evasive Customer Service: - Owners Manny and Mario repeatedly cited nebulous "corporate" approvals for repairs - Promised fixes were continually delayed or never materialized - After weeks of follow-ups, they provided contact for a supposed "sealer company" - This contact (Jose) was unreliable, missed appointments, and never did the work since ACVOLT did not approve the cost of repair. - ACVOLT claimed to be in communication with Jose but provided no evidence or results 4. Lack of Accountability: - After months and months of run-around, they suggested I file an insurance claim - "Corporate" reception doesn't have license or insurance information to provide when requested. - Continually shifted responsibility, making it impossible to get a straight answer 5. Suspicious Business Practices: - Reception refuses to provide license or insurance information - Owners play "good cop, bad cop," switching primary contacts when complaints escalate - Upsold maintenance plan that did nothing to address core issues 6. Ongoing Damage and Neglect: - As of October 2024, nearly a year after the initial property damage, no repairs have been made - Multiple promises of resolution have been broken - Property damage remains unaddressed, potentially worsening over time In summary, ACVOLT ELECTRICAL INC has demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism, technical competence, and basic customer care. They've left me with damaged property, wasted time, and the stress of dealing with their incompetence for an entire year.
