Saw him for 17 yrs. Then he started to fancy himself a pain specialist. My insurance company said…read moremy copay should be one thing his receptionist said another so I said I think the doctor needs to be brought in on this. For two years she said was new and to be patient with her so I was. I'd always gotten along beautifully with his staff. It wasn't her fault. It was him pushing higher copays. This annoyed him and he refused to treat me that day. He said he was no longer familiar with my back and he couldn't treat me. What if I'd been brand new and he'd never seen me? He couldn't treat me? I call this abandonment of care. He also at another appointment wanted to inject my forehead with Botox that would cost $900 that insurance would not cover and I'd need every 3 weeks. To relieve my pain all I needed was an adjustment. He talked me into Xyrem which gave me a psychotic episode I googled later and the first side effect said may cause death. It was obvious he no longer wanted me as a patient. He considers himself a Christian but he has too many children he's trying to support I'm afraid so he's pushing drugs he gets a kick back on and then the expensive Botox treatment. He's definitely changed from the caring doctor I was seeing in his early days. I'm sorry to say.

I have been going to Avanti Therapy for over 12 years. I have MS in secondary progressive stage,…read morewhich is unique in the fact that it is not just maintaining but actual improvements, even as my disease progressed. They also have one of the finest scoliosis clinics for all ages. I have never felt once in their clinic hopeless nor at a point where I could not improve. It is not just maintaining but actual improvement which is something that I've always searched for in the other clinics. Jessica Bishop is one of the finest PT's, I have consistently been going to for over many years, but I've also gone to many others that are just as qualified and also very helpful. But it's the Management, Julie and Heather, that set the tone for the entire clinic. And the front desk that is always so welcoming and helpful in scheduling. I absolutely love this clinic and would recommend it and have to many people. -Cindy

Went for the Schroth sessions with Laura for my scoliosis. I can't say how helpful they were as…read morethey won't fix the scoliosis, but potentially will keep it from progressing. I do think it was likely a waste of time and $ because the exercises are odd and some require odd accoutrements and it will be hard to keep up these exercises. But I did want to warn folks to NOT let Laura do nerve glide stretching on your arm. She does it too hard and when I got back to my car, I realized I couldn't bend my arm without pain and I had pain in my elbow for at least a week. My PT said that nerve glides need to be done very sensitively because the nerves can be easily inflamed. It was a shame because I liked Laura. I did call and explain what happened when I canceled my next appointment and they said Laura would call me back and she never did.
