History
Established in 2009.
Prior to establishing Prana Physical Therapy & Massage in Boulder, Colorado, I worked as a licensed physical therapist for over 10 years in a variety of medical settings along the Front Range. Leaving traditional physical therapy, I worked and studied yoga and holistic health at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts--the nation's largest and most established center for yoga and health--from 2004 to 2008, where I taught yoga, provided massage, served as a teaching assistant for their massage therapy program and taught journal writing workshops. I now combine my skills and experience to provide customized bodywork sessions for relaxation and relief of headaches, neck pain, back pain and complications from automobile accidents.
Meet the Business Owner: Lori B.
Lori Batcheller MPT, LMT, MA, CYT-500 is a licensed massage and physical therapist who earned a master's in physical therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia (now Drexel) in 1986. For over 10 years she worked in a variety of traditional medical settings. She also taught physical therapy at Fort Morgan Community College.
Her interest in holistic treatment approaches began after suffering chronic neck pain from two whiplash injuries which traditional medicine did not fully resolve. She lived, worked, and studied at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and has completed several trainings in CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute and in Myofascial Therapy with John Barnes, PT, and is Reiki master. She is also certified in Positional Release Therapy and Medical Massage.
One of Lori's greatest joys is feeling muscle tension release under her hands as bodies learn to let go of holding patterns. Clients leave her office feeling relaxed and renewed in body, mind, and spirit
