I came to Eric with a a particularly bad case of plantar fasciitis. I had been in a boot for a couple months, and my foot/calf had partially atrophied. He worked with me for several months ~ I went from not being able to support any weight on my foot (and scared to even do so) to hiking for 5 miles straight in Boulder a week ago. Up until this injury, I hadn't experienced a physical limitation of this caliber before. It really takes a toll on not just one's physical mobility, but one's mind and spirit. Altitude Physical Therapy is my go-to place for sports injuries and pain due to scoliosis. I worked with Eric for several weeks to rehabilitate an injured shoulder. Eric worked to release pinched nerves and I was able to recover full range of motion. I like that he gives "homework" so that I could work on mobility and strength on my own. He was honest when we realized we had reached the end of necessary treatment which I appreciated as well. My daughter worked with Bob for several weeks as she recovered from a torn meniscus. As a competitive dancer getting ready to dance in college, her rehabilitation was essential. She had full recovery and was able to head to college on time to continue a rigorous dance program. Altitude was a great place to do Physical Therapy. I was very pleased with the treatment I received from Eric. He was always very professional, and also gave me good exercises to do at home. Also, he used the in-person sessions to do "work" I couldn't do by myself - shoulder massage, movement exercises, etc. For me, I thought he did very well to take advantage of my time and not just assign exercises to do (which can be done at home). Great energy, knowledge, and genuine care for my recovery and well-being. Better yet, Aaron would take time between our sessions to think up new, creative ways to address other deficiencies that likely contributed to my pre-surgically repaired issue; I learned something new every session from that guy! I've been seeing Aaron for lower back pain, and my experience has been amazing. Aaron discovered that the source of my back pain was that my hip had gotten misaligned (probably during pregnancy) and was able to get my hip back into proper position on the same appointment. Afterwards we worked on some exercises to strengthen my hips and back and he also did some massage type things. After many months of pain after exercise/running, my pain went away. I don't spend much time on the injured list, and that is partial due to Bob Cranny at Altitude Physical Therapy. As a competitive cyclist, I had a nagging knee issue for a few years, that had me visiting a variety of PT's in the different places that I lived. Upon moving to Boulder, I took the recommendation to visit with Cranny and found relief from my issue within a month, something that I had seen at least 4 or 5 people for and spent 3 years dealing with. Over the past few years, I have had a few injuries relating to a variety of sports, and Bob has helped me resolve every one within 4 visits. I like knowing that the therapist I am going to is more interested in getting me back out into the out-doors so I can continue to enjoy wonderful Colorado. I have been to some insurance mill clinics that wanted me to return for regular therapy and I never really got better. I can not emphasize enough to people, when I recommend Bob, that this guy knows his stuff. He has multiple offices around the area, with very thoughtful staff, and he has gone out of his way to make sure I get in when I have had an emergency issue. Not all PT's are created equal, and not all PT's have the drive to be exceptional care-takers. If you have an injury that is limiting you, you owe it to yourself to go see him. I regularly refer friends and patients to him and they are consistently impressed with his skill. I will mention, some people will ask if Bob is on their insurance, to which I respond "most likely", but irregardless, at $90 ish a visit, I'm happy to pay out of pocket to resolve my limitations quickly. These are people that have been dealing with problems for years!
