Their all-inclusive packages thought of every detail, which made planning so much easier. Emily, our main point of contact, was truly incredible. Organized, responsive, and such a calming presence throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, we were even assigned a personal server (a totally unexpected but amazing touch) who made sure we were well taken care of all night long. The food was also beyond exceptional. We're still getting compliments from our guests, and honestly, wedding food is usually the last thing people remember! Every bite was delicious, and the cocktails were endless. They offered every drink combo we could possibly think of. One of the best parts of the venue is the terrace, which we had access to all night. While the dance floor was packed inside with our amazing DJ, guests who wanted a quieter moment could sit outside, enjoy the breeze, and watch the boats go by. We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding venue than RPM Events. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. So many of our guests came up to us throughout the night (and even after) to tell us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The terrace with sweeping city views made for an unforgettable backdrop, and the space itself is already so elegant on its own--between the gorgeous chandeliers, draping, and timeless design, it felt like a dream even before we added our own décor. This was my second time coming to RPM events to celebrate Mother's Day. Unfortunately, it will likely be our last. First, the positives. The staff at check in were very helpful and welcoming. It was a bit rainy so they moved the photo backdrop indoors which was nice. The rigatoni dish and the meatballs were good. And I enjoyed the mimosa bar. But there were plenty of weak points this year. 1. The dessert bar was just an ice cream sundae bar for kids. Don't get me wrong, this is a great idea for children. But absolutely no cake/pie/pastry items was extremely disappointing. We have done many of these events at different restaurants and this was the worst offering of dessert ever. 2. The seafood station attendant was skimpy on the shrimp and oysters. I was surprised when he limited the seafood to 3 pieces per person. Again, at this price point, this is the only meal like this where they have ever imposed a limit on seafood items. Stingy, RPM events! 3. Mushroom risotto was a disgusting mush. No flavor. Overcooked. Bland. It was a terrible dish that I'd think was bad if I ordered it at Olivia garden. 4. Roast lamb was ok when it wasn't overcooked. But it was mostly over cooked. Also, it seems pretty basic that at this price point, there would be a prime rib on the menu (and I believe there was last year). Stingy, RPM events! As a frequent diner at LEYE restaurants, I was disappointed by this Mother's Day brunch. I have an expectation of value when I dine at LEYE restaurants..whether its grabbing something to go at wow bao or a high end place like Joes. But this event was terrible value for money and all they should be reconsider their cost cutting decisions read more

Beautiful restaurant, great location, delicious food and attentive service! We began with drinks outside on the river, such a beautiful setting. Enjoyed dinner with a large group and it was a treat! The Tuscan kale salad and Midwest prime strip were in point! We were treated like royalty, restaurant was not officially open yet, just doing events at this point but I like forward to their opening. Probably more like 3.5 but I bumped it up since I believe this was a new event. I booked the Mother's Day Brunch for myself, my parents, and my grandmother and we all had a great experience. This would make for the perfect location for a wedding or private party, but for the brunch, I think a few things could be improved upon. Pros: - the brunch was not too crowded as some can be. There were 3 set seating times that I think helped with that and the limited crowd was definitely liked and appreciated. - the food was all good - the decor was beautiful - There was a cute setup on the patio for pictures right next to the river - Unlimited mimosas Cons: - Accessibility left a little to be desired. My grandmother is 93 and could not take the stairs down to the event space. We had to wait to be escorted down to the elevator which wasn't working and needed to take a service elevator down. For this kind of establishment I think you can do a little better than that. Thankfully getting back up is easier. - For the price, food selection was a bit lacking. Again, what was there was good, but there could have been more choices. At almost $100 per person I would expect more variety. 3 of the lunch hot dishes were a basic pasta. For seafood, there was pretty much only shrimp and oysters. Most notably, the dessert section consisted of one little tower of 3 little desserts. There wasn't even any fruit (which my grandmother was looking for) I've paid a little over half the price for much more variety than that. - Table service could have been better. It took awhile for someone to clear away our old plates so we had a stack going at one point. Also, no one ever refilled our water glasses. So overall was it worth it? Eh, I'm still on the fence. We did have a good time but I hope they kick things up a notch if they bring it back next year. read more

I attended an event here last night. From the festive, yet understated holiday décor and open bar to the food (carving station, raw seafood bar, and charcuterie table, as well as passed hors d'oeuvres--including the mini executive grilled cheese sandwiches...given their 'executive' distinction by the addition of truffle) it is evident that no expense was spared on the part of the event organizers. Being as it was December, it was too cold to sit outside, although ample windows provided views of the river, city, and a couple of outdoor LED lighted deer--my kind of wildlife--on the patio. As to the space itself, there was a suitable ratio of high-top to regular tables, and it was great to be able to move about without being hemmed in. Even with the one open bar, the lines never seemed long. The location's proximity to major cross streets and the Westin Hotel made it easy to get a cab at the end of the night. Glad I had the experience of coming here and will keep this venue in mind if I am ever in search of a classy and memorable event space. read more

Came here with a big group on a bus trip to Chicago and guess the restaurant wasn't even open yet so it was more like a venue. Food was served to us family style so you could try the whole pre determined menu we were given which was a plus! Only downside to that was a couple people from out table did not receive steak and mushrooms. We asked two times if they could bring out some more but we're not given anymore. Other than that it was a very good overall experience! Setting was awesome being right on the river. They will definitely be a place to try once the restaurant opens! read more

I personally actually love RPM on the water. I was introduced to this venue when it opened by a friend, and it's very quaint and intimate. The lighting is friendly, and the drinks are made to order by professional bartenders who actually know how to make a drink. The menu is small tapas, or larger portions, as well as gluten/veggie options that are perfect for sharing and are very very very delicious. Over the years, I have frequented and thoroughly enjoyed the RPM brand and RPM Seafood did not disappoint. The location is perfect as is the ambiance with the subtle, tasteful music in the background that kept the crowd lively and entertaining. Service has alway been impeccable at the other RPM locations so my expectations were high and Valerie was great! She was very attentive and personable. The menu had so many mouth watering selections that it was hard to decide what to order. Tara at RPM Events coordinated the wedding venue, food, decor and other vendor details with Samantha Helmig of Shannon Gail Wedding and Event Planners to create the most beautiful wedding. It was truly perfection! The execution was seamless. The venue itself is fabulous- the location on the river with a huge outdoor terrace is what sold us on it. Also, RPM restaurants are known for their fabulous food, and our wedding food was phenomenal- our guests loved the food! The sound system was also great. Tara was incredibly responsive and professional throughout the entire process. We could not be happier.
