Mr. Mark Gettinger helped me in finding a great deal in Minnesota (I am living in the West Coast)…read more He also explained me in detail about the required process and paper work and prepared an offer that helped in competing with other multiple buyers and getting a right price for my new condo purchase. In addition, he communicated with the condo association and provided all required documents for set up the HOA payments on time. Moreover, he suggested to do the Mobile closing ( the notary came to my home for signing the closing paper in the closing date) which saved my time and $$$ money because I did not need to fly to Minnesota just for the closing. Mr.Mark Gettinger has provided an outstanding customer service. He commutated with my Closing company and Lender directly when I needed the information's clarification ( especially, the specific legal terminology). Furthermore, all the paper work and earning money sending were done electronically-it was so easy and accurate as well as saving a lot of my time and energy in this busy life. In Sum, the closing was done on time, and my Lender told me that they were impressed how Mr. Mark Gettinger was able to manage very professionally the condo purchase ( which is required more knowledge and documentation than purchasing a single home) and also for a Buyer who is living in the different state. I am recommending Mr. Mark Gettinger as a trustful, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and professional Real Estate Agent.

Peggy is responsive, knowledgeable, and exhibits a passionate understanding of residents' concerns as she applies the rules and regulations of the HOA. Within the past year there was a new resident who was receiving accusatory comments from residents, and then after receiving a formal advisory message from Peggy, the resident asked me what was going on, why was she being singled out. She had only recently moved in and she was so upset that she wanted to just pack up and move out. I talked to Peggy and asked her to have a conversation with the resident. Peggy did so in a compassionate yet rule-oriented manner. In fact within a few months' that resident ran for and was elected to the Board. On a second occasion within the past two months I personally was aided by Peggy after I filed a petition for waiver to the Board. I felt certain members of the Board were allowing the petition to fail, not on its merits, but because the deadline for a decision was looming and that would mean the petition would be allowed to die without being heard. I contacted Peggy for a ruling. She listened to my reasoning and realized immediately that the Board was indeed required to formally meet to hear the petition, or else risk facing liability. She was able to drill right down through the emotional rhetoric to the heart of the matter, requiring the Board to follow the rules of procedure. I'm not certain how many other properties for which Peggy has responsibility but it is reassuring and fortunate for us that Peggy is our Community Association Manager.

Horrible Experience with this HOA, since we moved in 5 years ago our fees have more than doubled…read moreyet I think they maybe plowed twice this winter?! We literally just gave up and started shoveling our own driveway!! On top of that we had an extra assessment done that I don't even remember voting on or getting paperwork on... no idea what was done because nothing ever was...then asked to pay an additional amount we couldn't afford on top of the increased HOA fee. So we paid what we could and the rest was sent to collections where they are now making us pay way more and pay other attorneys fees. All they care about is money, yet they do nothing...I still have no clue what the extra payment was for! Our association doesn't even have a pool or park..so why do our fees keep increasing. They couldn't even come remove bees that were in our siding and told us that's our responsibility!! Unreal.

When we moved in to our Saint Paul rental back in 2020, the previous tenant had just moved out an hour prior and it was disgusting. We were told to call a cleaner or do it ourselves. Being the summer of Covid during George Floyd protests, we had to do it ourselves and let me tell you... the amount of hair, cigarette butts, grime, etc was appalling. We were compensated $200 for our labor. Aroosh left the company and Tyler took over. Way more professional and responsive, we were hopeful things would get better. I'm sure for property owners, he's great, but we were screwed upon move out and got only $57 back from our deposit. Was not expecting the full amount but got charged $600 for cleaning (cleaners from PPM) and almost $300 for flea treatment. FLEAS?! We did not have fleas and left that place 100x cleaner than how it was received. Renters, beware. Another company to nickel and dime you when it's time to move out, and not take care of the most basic things. Property owners, if you care about finding and keeping quality renters, do not hire them.

It felt like he assumed we didn't know our rights and could be intimidated into accepting whatever they decided. We moved out on the 8th of the month, but DRG required us to pay rent for the entire month. Then they withheld a large portion of that overpaid rent along with our entire security deposit. The reasoning they gave was inconsistent and unsupported. They claimed smoke damage but provided no real evidence--just a dirty air filter, which we fully admit we should have replaced before moving out. But a dirty air filter doesn't prove smoke damage, and their own move-out report never mentioned any smoke odor or related concerns. In fact, the report--completed by someone hired by DRG--only noted a few dirty carpet spots, not that the carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced. Yet, we were charged for full carpet replacement. When we asked for documentation, Patrick responded with hostile and accusatory emails. At one point, he even told us the owner wanted to sue us and that he was "talking them out of it." That kind of language felt less like professionalism and more like an attempt to scare us into submission. We've filed a conciliation court claim to hold them accountable and will update this review after the hearing. Until then, I strongly urge anyone considering a DRG property to document everything, ask questions, and know your rights. The way we were treated felt exploitative and dismissive--and we don't want others to go through the same experience.

Okay, enough with the advertisements.. or else you will have to pay me, Baker Management! On my hunt for the perfect boyfriend, uh, I mean, brownstone with built-in cabinets, wooden floors, octogan-tiled bathroom, and a sink NOT from the 1920s (those are the one-tub, hanging sinks with no counter space), I finally came across my apartment building. But this love story was no easy battle.... I scoured on-line dating sites (ala Craigslist) for hours and decided to get all of my apartment dates done in two days. Yes, that's right. Two days. And twenty-two, three, six apartments later, I had an older, uber nice gentleman by the name of Paul showing me a Baker property apartment. I was completely in L-O-V-E. I mean, I had been through A LOT the last couple of days: 1) I met a lot of men, uh, apartments, that were incredibly small. I literally had to shimmy in between the sink and the stove. So, yes, size dooooes matter. 2) Some of the places had odd layouts. The fridge in the foyer, the stove in the closet, and "oh? you want to put a queen-sized bed here? Yeah, only if you angle it at 83.5 degrees and lean it against the wall." Please, don't be weird. 3) I understand you're only a block from Hennepin, but hrello?! I still have to park eight blocks away, so why don't I just find an apartment eight blocks away? So, yeah, you may look good on the outside and may be popular, but I still gotta work my tush off to get to you - not gonna happen. 4) I walked in to a half-naked girl with head phones on who forgot her apartment was up for show! Okay, whenever there's another girl... and she's half naked, that's an auto "it's over." 5) When I saw the Baker apartment, my heart started fluttering. I saw pictures of our future together. I saw myself building a life with this apartment. I just knew... it was "the one." The next day, I dropped off my application and payment forms. Two days later, I was ready to move in! Everything was just happening so fast. Everything with Baker has been incredible. And ever since my first day as a resident, they have helped me with countless, ditzy things: 1) I couldn't get my stove to fire up. Yes, Nadine, plug it in. 2) My faucet kept leaking under the sink. Yes, Nadine, tighten it up. 3) My door key went missing. Yes, Nadine, changed locks coming right up (and this was at 730 in the morning). They have a five or six properties around the Uptown area with tons of residents. But everytime I've called, they've known exactly which apartment I live in. Creepy? Nah, just nice to know that they actually know their residents. Bottom line, I am in love. Love. Love. Love. Yeah, it's a block up Lake Street. But heck, at least I know there are cops around my hood... like all. the. time.

To say that I was completely ignorant of everything that went into searching for a house is an understatement. I think it'd be understandable for anyone to lose patience with someone who couldn't make up her mind about what she wanted in a home or what she could afford. Scott never made me feel like a burden or like I was uneducated about the housing market. Because he knew that I was a first-time home buyer, he took extra time during our showings to point out important things to take note of that I may not have otherwise paid attention to. He also went into detail about purchase agreements and other contracts to make sure I understood what I was signing. He was always prompt in his email and text responses and made me feel totally valued as a client. I tried working with other realtors from larger firms - mostly because I got a cash incentive from my insurance company to do so - but they very much had a sales mentality or weren't willing to compromise with my expectations or timeline. I ended up foregoing a $600 cash bonus to work with Scott because the impression he left was so much better than the other realtors I tried. He was the only one who I felt I could trust completely. Not only was Scott an excellent realtor, but also he became a great friend of mine. Although I'm so excited to have bought a home, I miss talking to Scott every day and driving around like mad men to showings. I couldn't be happier with my new home and with the person who helped me get it. Thank you, Scott, for everything you have done for me!
