In most cases this is a really good store. They usually have everything you need, prices are good,…read morepeople are knowledgeable, etc. Everything you want and need from an office supply store. Lately, it's be a little messy. They are either restocking shelves or cleaning stuff up. I'm not really sure. They just have a few of these carts with boxes and garbage in several places throughout the store (see pictures). Now, I'm not that snooty that I am unable to walk into a store without complaining over a few cardboard boxes laying around. Except that they are usually in the way, so in order to get by with a shopping cart or pick up something in that general area, you have to move it out of the way. That doesn't make for the best experience. That's really the only thing I have on this location.

I rarely take the time to write reviews unless the service is exceptional or considerably less than…read moremediocre. Unfortunately, today was the latter. I've been using Office Depot for years to spiral bind books and academic materials. As someone who is constantly teaching, studying, and learning, I appreciate how much easier spiral binding makes it to read and annotate. Usually, the service takes an hour or two. I understand that isn't always possible when orders are backed up, and I have no issue waiting. What I do have an issue with is being treated as though my presence is an inconvenience. Today, November 4, 2026, around 4:40 PM, I visited the copy and print counter. Another woman was already waiting when I arrived. Two employees were behind the counter: a tall, thin young man with dark hair and glasses, and a middle-aged woman. Neither acknowledged us. I don't know how long the other customer had been waiting, but I stood there for several minutes while both employees continued their tasks without a greeting, a glance, or a simple, "We'll be with you shortly." After waiting and looking expectantly for some type of greeting or acknowledgement, the the customer in front of me approached the young man to ask a question. I watched their interaction. She was polite, asked a straightforward question, and thanked him afterward. He seemed preoccupied with the computer and barely looked at her. After she stepped away, I thought he might look up at me since I was next in line. He did not. I waited a few moments before I approached to ask about spiral binding a book I'd recently purchased from Amazon. Again, he didn't acknowledge me until I spoke. His first question was, "Is this an original book?" I was confused by the wording but explained that yes, I had purchased the book if that's what he meant. He said it needed to be an original and asked to inspect the back to verify. I happily handed it over. He examined the front and back, set it on the counter, and walked away without explanation. A few moments later, he returned with a piece of paper and said, "You have to sign a waiver. We can get to it tomorrow." That was essentially the interaction. To be clear, I had absolutely no problem with the inspection, the waiver, or waiting until tomorrow. Those are reasonable business practices. I simply expected them to be communicated with basic professionalism and courtesy. I recognize that times are challenging. People are overworked and underpaid, businesses are understaffed, and we never know what someone else may be dealing with. I don't know what kind of day this employee was having, and I sincerely hope it improves. But kindness still matters. It takes less than 30 seconds to acknowledge a customer. "Hello, I'll be with you shortly" is enough. If there is a copyright concern or a waiver is required, explain that clearly. If there's a restriction on what you can and cannot spiral bind, clarify that. If the service cannot be completed until tomorrow, that's fine. There's a nicer way to inform. I can understand all of that without being made to feel as though I've done something suspicious by requesting an ordinary service. I had a similarly unpleasant experience at this exact same location when I last came for spiral binding, more than a year ago. Even though the service was terrible, I was still able to get my book spiral bound the same day. So at the time, I chose not to write a review. Today, however, I have time. I hope management takes this feedback constructively. Customer service doesn't require grand gestures or forced enthusiasm. It requires acknowledging the people in front of you and treating them with respect. A little kindness goes a long way. And so does the absence of it. Blessings.
