    Coffee

I was with my mother for this early Saturday afternoon brunch. I'm not gonna get into specifics, but it was a much needed retreat after a hard morning for both of us. The moment you walk in, you notice a cow theme going on. There's even this cow caricature that greets you as you go inside, almost like it wants to say "Hi". Inside you can kind of see that as a small fine breakfast restaurant, almost like a diner mixed with a wine bar. The ambiance is very casual, and you can either get intimate or have a casual get-together with friends in a place like this. Kind of cute like that. With the timing of it all, I found it to be a bit too late for breakfast, so I immediately made my decision from the lunch menu. Mom on the other hand went with the Eggs Benedict with Home Fries. She also ordered up some cranberry juice and water and diluted it with water. My order was their Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese along with the Citrus Peach Mimosa. We also both got coffee. Honestly, I sometimes can't stop myself from needing a little bit of alcohol whenever I get tilted or are going through a hard time, so the fact the mimosa was there was a very welcome touch. Now I did get a chance to try mom's drink. I agree that it needed to be diluted with water, though not for the same reasons she did it for. For her, the cranberry juice on its own is too sweet. For me, I thought it was pretty tart even with the water added, so I can only imagine how sour it would have been otherwise. The mimosa I had was perfect, especially serving its purpose of calming me down a bit. For the food, we both liked what we got. I didn't try mom's food, but here is what I have to say of my dish: the buffalo chicken does a good job coating the chicken without sogging the breading as I was able to feel a crunch with each bite I had. I think the blue cheese and the Mac & cheese do a great job balancing out the spice of the buffalo sauce. If there's one thing I would change, I would use a noodle more along the lines of a cavatappi or gemelli to mop up the cheese sauce better. But other than that, it was a great comfort dish. The customer service was also really good here. Our waitresses as we were eating came to check in and see how we were enjoying our meals which is nice, and they refilled our coffees with smiles on their faces which I much appreciated. I will say that going to the bathroom, it can be confusing if the lights are off inside. In fact, I had to feel around for a way to turn the lights on because I wasn't sure how to locate a light switch. That's about the only trouble I had here. But yeah, if you're feeling a little divided on going to a diner or going to a casual sit-down but still need breakfast, then this is where you want to go if you are in the Thomaston area.

Ordered take out here for my mother and I. We ended up getting a BLT sandwich and honey bbq chicken wrap with fries. Food was decent. Also there is a 10% fee for take out!

We were in Thomaston on a Monday night for the Christmas train. We'd originally picked somewhere else but they were closed Mondays so ended up here. We'd made a reservation for 8 people so they had our table ready for us when we got there. Service was definitely on the slow side, but the place was very busy despite getting there at almost 7pm. Unfortunately because it was so late in the night they were sold out of a few items that our group tried to order. Overall food was decent. I'd go back if I was in the area, but not making a special trip just to go.

I cannot recall the actual name of the dish, but I believe it is the Caprese Omelette topped with a pesto sauce.

Rozzi's was a random drive by find! We were in the area for a memorial event at a nearby temple drove by and saw a sign for BREAKFAST! We took a chance hopped on in and it seems we came just in time because about 5 minutes after we were seated a huge rush of customers came. We were immediately seated, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming like having family breakfast in Grandma's kitchen at a family reunion and meeting new family members for the first time. Service was quick and friendly, no coffee mug went empty for more than 30 seconds before a server came by asking if anyone needed a refill in fact my first refill my mug was just 1 sip from being empty. There is free parking on site a decent size parking lot that can fill up really fast! Food was overall good, I just needed a touch of salt for my omelet. Potatoes are GREAT! I find that a lot of breakfast places add too much of this or that like onions, peppers, spices, that take away from the naturally amazing flavor of a red potato. For those with the bathroom questions they are not gender neutral but they are 1 stall each and no one seemed to care who went in which bathroom a male customer came out of the female bathroom and those of us waiting in line just laughed it off. Once you're ready to pay for your meal bring your ticket to the counter and pay on your way out. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely come again!

    Gotta' love the chicken!

Rozzi's is a fine diner restaurant American-style. Chicken, eggs, steak, burgers, salads...just about what you'd expect on a busy and very diverse menu. We've found the dishes to be really tasty, a darned good thing given the size of the servings, which is to say LARGE. You'll get your money's worth here. Fried chicken, mac and cheese, Greek salad, mashed potatoes (with extra gravy), crunchy green veggies ... We came away filled up and happy. And not only that but the people who run it and the servers couldn't;t be nicer, and the entire diner is clean and fresh looking. And there's even a tad of quaintness about the interior, though the outside looks kind of plain. We'll be back.

Cute Diner located in Thomaston CT. We were well received by wonderful friendly staff. We went during dinner hours but breakfast is served ALL day! Who doesn't love breakfast at any time of day ?! They also had dinner specials that looked amazing. Besides dinner specials and breakfast , they served salads, burgers, sandwiches, cocktails and dessert. Serving a great variations. Everything is also freshly made! We had the Barbie and Ken cocktail drinks. A salad that was huge and tasted amazing, Take a Hike Salad and a Turkey BLT that I was able to have on a GF bread. So good! Now that I know about this Hidden Gem, I can spread the word and I would love to come back if I'm In the area ! It was delicious!

Rozzi's is a diner style restaurant that is serving breakfast all day, along with lunch and dinner. As any other great brunch, I started the meal with a pineapple mimosa and it was so delicious. The waitress was so attentive and had great suggestions for me to try. The Connecticut omelette, which is one of their signature items, is a must. It contains fresh spinach, sautéed mushrooms, applewood smoked bacon, onions and melted cheddar and American cheeses (as you could imagine the cheesy goodness was fantastic). The lemon berry pancakes had a great flavor profile - the perfect mix of sweet and tart. And the chipotle Benedict added the perfect bit of spice to my meal! I already am looking forward to going back and trying their lunch/dinner menu items!

Super cute diner-esque stop. It is so exceptionally kid friendly. They are so quick to seat you and take your order it's amazing. Kids meal and coffees came out first. The Mickey pancake is MASSIVE and has flakes chocolate instead of chips. I appreciated that detail. Soft and fluffy and my little guy loved it. The corned beef hash in the eggs Benedict is the best I've had in Conneticut. Big chunks of corned beef and well seasoned hash. My poached eggs were done perfectly. Photo finish on the yolks. Only 4 stars because my hollandaise was oddly sweet and the English muffins were cold (life refrigerator cold). My husband got the waffle special which was very tasty but surprisingly petite compared to the sizes of the other entrees. (Especially that kiddie pancake. It was half the size of Mickey). All and al a great find and I will be back for that hash and the amazing service.

Working nearby, Rozzi's is a solid option for my coworkers and I when we're craving a good breakfast or lunch! On this last visit we really enjoyed the Asian salad special and the bbq chicken melt. Their decadent desserts are always fun to get for a treat too! A great hometown diner feel with friendly staff!

I went to Rozzi's for the first time recently and it was really good! The restaurant is set-up like a diner, with a counter and some casual seating on one side, and then booth seating on the other. It's fairly small but cozy inside. To start I ordered the Lobster Bisque, which was on the specials menu. The flavor was excellent, I was just a little disappointed that there were no actual chunks of lobster in it. I realize that this is pretty common with many restaurants that serve lobster bisque, but there are a few that actually give you some big chunks of lobster. For my meal, I ordered the Turkey Supermelt, which was turkey, applewood smoked bacon, melted American cheese, sliced tomatoes, and Thousand Island dressing on grilled sourdough. It was delicious! A big sandwich though, so I took half home. I ordered a side of Onion Straws for a $2.50 up-charge. These were also delicious! The service was very good and staff were friendly. Overall a great spot to grab a bite when you're in Thomaston!

This was my first time here, and I knew as soon as I walked in, I was going to love it. The staff was so so friendly. I got to order whatever I wanted and it was so hard to choose! The menu looked so incredible. They have daily specials too! Everything was so tasty !! And the presentation was so beautiful!!!
