The vending machines do not work 98% of the time, so don't put money in there. It gets very hot while doing a lot of laundry so I suggest brining a big bottle of cold water from home and a snack (fruit, nuts, or something to give you energy). The machines TAKE your money and last night we looked for a phone number or email to call and there were none on there, no signs inside of management. I'm hoping they will read this post and connect with all of us YELPERS and social media consumers who use their service.
When the machines do work in most cases if you put money in for a Coke it will give you Sprite. If you select an ice cream sandwich it will give you some other frozen fruit bar. It's really a shame that they don't care. They just take our money and no room for complaints. The laundry place next door is ran by some other lady who is always there but her machines are old, ragedy, and she cheats when you dry them. She sells lotto tickets, drinks, snacks, laundry supplies, and she had tv entertainment, but it's so HOT in there and she acts like it doesn't bother her. She doesn't like for the door to be open so I can't stand going there.
Roys is more updated but they just don't CARE. There are many dryers in there that do not work like the very last one on the right hand side bottom. It is only cold air. It should be fixed. I was looking for their phone number or email or something so I can contact them. Also washing machines are actually quite good. I go there because the machines really get my clothes clean and they are relatively FAST. The machines cost $4.75 and $5.50 to wash big loads. The other mid size machine is $2.75. I like to put tons of clothes in machines because it's cheaper and faster than doing the laundry at home.
The dyer cost 25cents for 7 FAST minutes. But seriously if you are drying one should put all permanent press items in one machine to dry because it can cost about 50 cents or 14 minutes to dry. But towels it takes about 30 minutes to dry the big towels but they do a good job.
The floors are nasty they need to be swept and mopped. The restroom has NO soap and no paper towel. Some of the machines could stand to be wiped or disinfected on outside.
I do not know what the password to use the FREE wifi is. My mobile device required a password so I just figured it didn't work. They do not post a phone number to call them or email them if a machine takes your money or gets stuck. Once my clothes were stuck but by time I got done drying it released my clothes in one of small machines that cost 1.50.
Well I do like coming here because it's close to UNT and it's open 24/7 and I can get my clothes washed without excuses of them being closed. This is really a good service. They just need to
1. Fix broken machines that don't DRY with HEAT only cold air.
2. Fix the vending machines and stop them from NOT giving out the products we buy.
3. POst a EMAIL or PHone number where they have somone to reply 24/7 in case of problems with service products washer, dryer, vending, or change machines.
4. have someone to sweep and mop in there. Have a attendent in there to wipe these machines
5. Connect with the customers on Social Media or provide contact info so we can let you know what's not working at your shop.
6. HIre someone to clean and to scrape GUM out of the machines and melted toys.
You could do a better job. They also could have some paper or something where we can wipe them down ourselves.
but I am sure they do it because they don't want people to flush paper own towel or etc.
Overall it's a good service. Good lighting, cameras, and it's in a good location. BUt it could stand room for improvement. read more
