I gave him my budget and outlined my needs. He took it from there and put together, from th esounds of it - really delicious daily menus. Of course, I am not local to the area and am only in charge of coordinating the lunches for my clients' events, but from a business standpoint - it seems like Mike runs a good one and I haven't heard any complaints on the food so they MUST have happy bellies! I've read other reviews on other sites and they were outstanding - which is why I chose to go with Silber Spoon. Mike is really quick to respond and make adjustments as needed. He is reasonably priced and provided a fabulous daily menu for my clients. He delivered on time every day and when I requested drinks with the deliveries, he suggested that he would supplement the drinks from day-to-day so I wouldn't be purchasing an overload of beverages. I thought this was a nice touch because I wouldn't have known the difference either way and he could have just charged me for it and continued delivering gallons and gallons of lemonade. Invoices are easy to read and the payment process was easy. I was sent a receipt at the end of each week and there were no discrepancies. He shared how his passion for cooking was born in his mother's kitchen--a place where food meant connection, celebration, and comfort. That story set the perfect tone for what we were about to enjoy. Chef Dixon and his team served several of their crowd-pleasing classics, including savory meatballs, warm spinach-artichoke dip, and flavorful Southwest pinwheels. My wife and I loved everything, but that spinach-artichoke dip was on a completely different level--rich, creamy, and one of the best versions we've ever had. Like the Zhou B Art Center, I wasn't aware of Season's Classic Catering before this event, even though they've been serving Kansas City since 2014. Their food was outstanding, their presentation was polished, and their staff couldn't have been more gracious or efficient. I'm so glad the Yelpies introduced us to them. Before signing, we specifically discussed beginning work earlier than her typical timeline, receiving assistance with vendor sourcing and brainstorming, rehearsal coordination, timeline creation, light setup and teardown, and overall wedding management. Based on those conversations, we felt confident that she would be a strong logistical partner leading up to and during our wedding. Looking back, I believe the biggest challenge was not a lack of good intentions, but a gap between the responsibilities that were discussed and the level of execution we ultimately experienced. Throughout the planning process, Theresa frequently offered to take on additional responsibilities beyond what she now describes as wedding management alone. While I appreciated her willingness to help, many of those tasks were either not completed, completed late, or required significant follow-up from us. We raised concerns about organization and communication months before the wedding and requested a more streamlined process, including written action items and clearer follow-through after meetings. On the wedding week itself, there were several moments where we felt we were managing logistics that we expected our coordinator to be directing. Despite providing detailed documentation for décor placement and event setup, my husband and I, along with members of our family and wedding party, ended up completing a significant portion of the setup and coordination ourselves. Rehearsals lacked the level of leadership and direction we expected, vendor issues were not always proactively communicated, and several logistical details required intervention from us or our loved ones. What makes this experience difficult to summarize is that I genuinely believe Theresa cares deeply about her couples and wants them to have a great experience. However, good intentions alone are not enough in a role that requires strong organization, communication, leadership, and attention to detail under pressure. For couples considering working with Theresa, my recommendation would be to have very specific conversations about expectations, responsibilities, and boundaries from the beginning. Make sure every responsibility is clearly defined, documented, and understood by both parties. My experience was not that I misunderstood the services being offered. Rather, responsibilities were often expanded through conversations and offers of help, but the execution did not consistently match those expectations. I wish Theresa success as she continues to grow her business, and I hope she takes the lessons she has publicly shared about boundaries, capacity, and client expectations and uses them to strengthen the experience for future couples.
