I brought my own massage oil--something I've never had an issue with before--and although the staff initially agreed, I had to remind the massage therapist repeatedly to actually use it. At one point, she even pulled out her phone to explain why she preferred their oil, insisting it was a "massage oil," which I never questioned. The point is that my oil was specifically crafted for nervous system soothing and fascia work, and instead of understanding or respecting that request, the communication and the technique were off. I didn't enjoy her style, I didn't feel relaxed, and it became clear nothing was going to change during the session, so I just went with it. What made it worse was the attitude I received when I tipped at the end. That reaction honestly discouraged me from returning. I hope this helps the spa improve consistency and communication because the potential is there, but this visit missed the mark.
