My absolute favorite Thai Restaurant! Not only is their food awesome, but the people who work there are great too!

Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed in the food I ordered. It looked great but I'll have to pass. Their pad Thai was just ok, I actually haven't found a great pad Thai in years And their beef Brocholi was the worst we had ever had. Over cooked broccoli and small Minced meat. Now the cucumber salad was good and so were their egg roles. Wanted to love this place, but more than likely we will not be back. And they were very nice and polite so that's always a plus. read more

This is an authentic Thai restaurant in Auburn. A lot of traditional Thai decorations that's nice. The service is good. However, the food was OK. I believe the drunken noodle was not cooked correctly. It was dry. And I'm used to the pineapple fried rice to have carrots and pea. This one was missing the carrots and the pea. read more

We ordered Wonton Soup 10 out of 10 Prawn Fried Rice 8 out of 10 Ginger Chicken 6 out of 10 I have to say this was a hidden gem in Auburn. The food was amazing although they need to add more meat which led to the low score of Ginger Chicken but taste wise, it was flavorful. The old man server was really nice and the Thai Experience was great. Try it, I recommend it especially the Wonton Soup! Yum! read more

This is the first Thai place I've ever experienced that doesn't give you rice with curry by default. Also there wasn't much substance to the curry either so it was not very filling. Basically just a soup with a few veggies sprinkled in. read more

I'm not sure what happened today; maybe the chef took the day off. The papaya salad was an iceberg lettuce salad with papaya sprinkles. The pad see ew was as pale as a white man who has never seen the sun. The picture shown was AFTER I added soy sauce to the dish to flavor it. The table next to me ordered the drunken noodles and it was the same. So pale in color. No flavor at all to any of the dishes. You were just chewing substance. Their curry wasn't too bad. The carrots and potatoes were firmer than I liked. I like to bite the carrot and taste the curry flavor still not all carrot Service was friendly enough but I will never come back again. I decided to give this place a try today because it was the only Thai place open on a Sunday that I could find in the area. I got it to go. The inside ambience leaves a lot to be desired but they do have a nice outside area to eat. The food is just so so. The peanut sauce is honestly the worst I've ever had. The fresh spring rolls were just iceberg lettuce inside. Disappointing. I bought the Thai Fried Rice to eat tomorrow so I haven't tried it yet. I probably won't come to this place again. This restaurant transports you to an exotic vacation spot in Thailand. The fans blowing, kids running, decor warm, and the service was on point. I live in SF but would come back every week if I could for their Chicken Yellow Thai Curry, it was delicious and unforgettable. I forgot to take a pic of the curry after the first bite. Friendly people, great service, and excellent food. Their noodle dishes and curries are all favorites (especially the drunken noodle and pumpkin curry), and you can't beat the prices for their lunch special. I recommend them to everyone who comes to visit. read more

Back after almost three years, and wow! It is so much better than I even remembered, absolutely hands down the best Thai food I've had in my life (and I've had a lot of Thai food)! We were excited to try a new Thai and were very disappointed. The waitress was on her phone and I had to go ask her for her to come help. She didn't take a drink order. The pad thai was extremely sweet, brought out the wrong soup, and forgot our rice. The curry was very watery. I do not recommend. read more

The service was friendly enough but so forgetful...they didn't bring anything out until we waited and waited and then asked for it. And I have to say, I have never had Thai food I didn't like until I ate here. Nothing tasted fresh or authentic. The eggplant in the green curry was just mush, they boiled it instead of flash frying it first so it didn't have the right texture. The drunken noodles were so incredibly overdone, they just tasted like mush too. The Tom Kha soup didn't have any galangal, fish sauce, lime, or any other authentic flavors. It basically tasted like chicken boiled in coconut milk and sugar.... So sorry to say I would not recommend eating here and we will not be back. read more

I ordered the pumpkin curry and I got very sick. I have had a splitting headache and diarrhea since than. The curry had no flavor and wasn't appealing or appetizing. I also ordered the spring rolls and the spring rolls were soggy. The food didn't taste fresh. I could tell something didn't feel right when I started eating the curry. It was very watered down. It was way over priced too. I won't be back.I wouldn't waste your money. I didn't see many people walking into this place. Now I know why. Rule of thumb if people aren't breaking down the doors to order and find seating You pass any restaurant up. I'm so sick right now. I wish I would have never ate there. It's not good. I work in Auburn so I know the restaurant scene very well. I love the ambience to this place and the decor/menu is on point. I wish I could combine items from this place and Thai Auburn Garden because then I would have the ultimate Thai restaurant. So- The spring rolls, and the Tom Kha Soup are amazing (best in Auburn) However, the currys and the stir fry dishes were so-so. Oh and the noodles were amazing here. Final verdict: If you like Tom Kha, Spring rolls and Pad See EW then come to this Thai place. If you are a curry person then Thai Auburn Garden is best. I'm super grateful that this place is open on Sundays, we went here after cruising on a boat at Lake Rollins, our crew was famished and needed a place that would fill us up. I was very pleased with the spring rolls -- they were super simple: rice paper, your choice of mango, avocado, tofu or strawberry and LOTS of shredded lettuce (no vermicelli or other ingredients). They were big, refreshing and came with tasty sauces. Probably a bit expensive at $10 for mostly lettuce but it did hit the spot. The Curry was about $15 and was a generous portion for one person -- I ordered the "mango and pineapple curry" -- the sauce was fantastic, the only improvement would be if they used fresh pineapple instead of canned pineapple. I was there on 07/02/2020 for lunch and had the Thai fried rice with beef. Blandest food I have ever eaten. I bit on a piece of tomato within the rice that tasted spoiled. The food is not fresh and the ingredients are flavorless. Don't waste your money. There are better places in Auburn. read more

Auburn... On a whim I came up here after reading about The Royal Thai. I made a good choice (and thanks Yelpers)! I was early, so no wait... I ordered their lunch special. Chicken with noodle and bean sprout on the scale 3 oh hotness. Delicious! It was accompanied with tofu spring roll with sweet dipping sauce. Very fresh, and not the deep fried one ;0). A mixed green salad on the side as well. I am sure the "Auburn experience" should mean BBQ or brunch for some... But if you appreciate good Thai on the pallet... Get over here! Their drunken noodles are my go too. The food has always been really good every time that I've gone. Crab fried rice is good, same with the pot stickers and fresh rolls. The service is quick but the employees are typically stone faced and not friendly. On top of that, pricing is a little high for the portions that you receive. I understand having to raise prices but seems like a lot to pay. read more

All I can say is YUM!! I was in town visiting family a few weeks ago and they took me here for dinner. We ordered about 6 different things and evvvvvverything was delicious! My favorite was the coconut soup (I forgot the Thai name right now) and the yellow curry! Their spring rolls were HUGE, fresh, and unique with the mango on some of them. Worst service ever!!! Not sure why the one and only wait person came to work yesterday but she should have stayed home instead of providing the worst service I've ever experienced. Food was good as I remember however the experience of taking oneself out to dinner weighs a lot on the server and this girl was horrible. Not once did she check on my table or offer to refill drinks or to see if there was anything else needed. I ordered from the lunch menu where you choose a meat, type of meal, and side dish. I got chicken on Thai fried rice, and butterfly shrimp. I also got the free Thai iced tea for checking in on Yelp ($3 on the menu). The meal came with salad. The butterfly shrimp side dish was one piece of shrimp and two pieces of broccoli - the sauce was delicious. The Thai fried rice was some of the best rice I've ever had. I ordered it mild, you can ask for it to be spicier. It wasn't salty, but still flavorful and there was plenty of chicken. The portion was more than enough to get me full, so I wasn't mad at the one piece of shrimp. Total cost came to $9.62 + tip. read more

We ordered Tom Yum and it was too sweet, pad Thai was ok better then the other 2 dishes we order and the yellow curry was very mild, I had to add more fish sauce. read more
