This campground is remote enough to drown out all the noise from the outside world but close enough that in only a few minutes you can enjoy a few small town restaurants and convenient stores and lots of outdoor adventures. The turn off Highway 40 is easy to navigate even with the largest MotorCoaches or fifth wheel trailers and although portions of the road is narrow it is a nice paved road all the way into the campground so if you get confused just remember stay on the pavement and avoid all side roads which are dirt and sand. The office is staffed by a wonderful and helpful group that makes the check-in process simple and really quick if you reserved your site online. The roads inside the campground are also paved and wide enough to navigate stress free. Our site was very level in both directions and all the utilities were in close proximity and well maintained. Although there are a number of full timers here everyone we met were so welcoming and friendly and all the sites were nice and neat, I can appreciate all the rules after staying here and that's definitely the reason this place is such a gem. There are plenty of amenities including a large pool, tennis courts and a basketball hoop, a laundry mat, camp store and lots of access to the water whether or not you have a boat or plan to rent one and although I didn't use many of the amenities it's oblivious they are well maintained like everything else on the property. This is definitely "Old Florida Charm" so don't expect a ritzy MotorCoach Resort experience which is exactly what is so attractive about this place, so if you're looking for a little R&R don't hesitate to book it and hopefully you can get in, it seems no one is in a hurry to leave here...

The lady on the intercom (Video I assume) at the entrance gate said they don't have a reservation even after I gave them the reservation number and showed them the confirmation on my email. 3. After15 minutes, of waiting, they said they cant do anything for me. Then after going back and forth, they tell me someone will meet me at the gate. 4. A guy arrives at the gate with his sidearm saying and I quote " Are you kidding me, bad time of the night bud, bad time of the night". 5. He proceeds to say, I will let you in, but, and I quote "Don't ever come back here again". I said to the guy, sir I have a reservation (showing him my email confirmation" he goes "I don't care, I will get you in for one night, and you leave in the morning" normally minimum of 2 night stay, and I paid $50 cash to let me in. 6. I can only surmise they saw me on the intercom camera, and didn't like the color of my skin, ruining my first trip with my family with my RV. Especially picking this site as being highly rated, of course of certain type and ethnicity. 7. There was no screaming on my part, I was very polite, as because of the guy approaching the car with his sidearm, left my kids very frightened. We did stay there the one night because of the time and left early in the morning per their request. 8. Not a very nice attempt at a RV Park, it just spoiled the experience, it was uncalled for and totally unsolicited, as such I will never go back per their request and mine..... I arrived here with pretty high expectations not all of them necessarily dependent on a high end resort experience but more towards a quiet relaxing setting with a beautiful view, a well maintained facility with full hookups that can accommodate my MotorCoach and great management. I stopped in at the camp store / office to meet the staff prior to just driving through I was a little surprised to see such a beautifully stocked camp store they have all the necessities and more. I was greeted by Steve and after learning a little about the ownership and a little bit of the history here I was offered a short tour to the lake view site I was interested in. This place is exactly what I was hoping it would be, small, quiet and well maintained, the road is rock based and well maintained as are the sites, the sites have great utilities, fire rings, the campground has a inviting swimming pool, a beautiful fishing pier, boat docks it's definitely a fisherman's paradise and being the lake is brackish they have blue crabs just waiting to be caught and incorporated into a delicious entrée, I have few in mind. Well after checking it out I couldn't resist making a reservation and booked an extended stay in April and was able to get the camp site right on the water, there no doubt I'll need to update this review once I stay here so there's more to come...
