He called the restaurant and spoke with a male who tried to argue with him that the order was right. Finally he said ok, come back for the chow fan and dumplings, and bring the fried rice back. My husband got there, and the man did apologize, and charged him for the chow fan and dumplings with a 10% discount, and he wouldn't refund the beef fried rice, which he took back. My husband came home upset. Now we had paid over $85.00 for an order that should have been $64.36 including tax, and one of the things we paid for stayed at the restaurant. We did end up eating what we had, most of it was good, except the fried wontons were burnt. Done. Never going back again.

This is partially because last time I got take out there, the food had basically dissolved through the styrofoam containers and everything was a sloppy mess by the time I got home. When you eat in, the food is presented much better and you don't need to call in a maid service to rescue your counter tops. The food does not come quickly. But really, if your expectations for this place are high enough to expect speedy service, you're probably better off elsewhere. Getting through on the phone in the evenings can be quite a task since the phone often rings busy and you have to try multiple times to get through. Add about 15 minutes to what they tell you when your food will be ready to go so that you don't have to mindlessly sit there and twiddle your thumbs while the waitress and her friend have animated conversations in a language most Islanders won't understand (unless maybe if you go to Holland college). . Their szechuan beef is excellent by the way, ask for it extra spicy if you like that sort of thing (I do!). I do recommend this restaurant.. just don't expect that you're going to be fine dining. The food was fresh, fast and delicious. The korma was a beautiful blend of creaminess and milder spices. Mild but flavourful. The paneer was a delicious semi firm cheese set in a beautiful dish with caramelized onions and a nice mix of spices and black cardamom. This is the type of food that the better Indian restaurants serve. Flavourful, aromatic, and inviting. The place was very clean, and there was a lot of room to relax and have a nice meal. Five stars IMHO, one of the better Indian restaurants I have been to. :)
