Chicken is great. Worst self check-out I've ever used. Almost always have a problem with it and the voice says to wait for help is spotty. My pet peeve is that 25% of the time for some reason it adds 1 Red Apple to my purchases. I wonder how many people this happens to and they don't even notice. Seems a little suspect to me. I usually get "Coke" at the soda fountain but it's frequently out of service. Last time I was in there they were out of lids for large sodas. There prices on general items seem to be a lot less that 7-11. read more

Prior to getting food I went to the bathroom and it was a mess. Also it was out of soap. This is a frequent thing at this location. But other than that my food was ready in good time and the checkout line was quick. read more

I needed gas while in errands. I am not familiar with the area. There were unusual characters inside and outside of the store. I would avoid this place at night. If you have to take a toll road, have cash. My toll was $4. The gas station ATMs don't charge a fee. read more

I came here late night after doing a rotation at the hospital I figured why not I ordered a turkey sausage and egg breakfast sandwich and I watched the employee make my sandwich I saw her put no turkey sausage on the sandwich I didn't ask the employee did you put turkey sauce on it she claims she did and then caught an attitude when I asked her to check she checked and said is there wrap my sandwich up and then gave it to me so I get all the way home open my bag to find out there's no turkey sausage that is a 30 minute drive there's no way I can go back. Let me start by saying yes I know Lottery Machines are not store products an are a convenience for people to gamble. Very friendly staff for the most part that's why I gave only 4. I was having trouble with the do DIY Lottery Machine, it was not dropping my tickets out due to a paper jam. (Keep in mind I come to this store at least 4x a week). When I asked the staff for help the cashier was very nice an called for a supervisor that's when it went downhill from there. The supervisor claimed there was nothing she could do and I would have to contact the Lottery help line, I had a good amount of money left in the machine an could not print a voucher to get paid. Pretty much she wanted me to walk away an call Lottery. I knew she was being untruthful because during 1 of the 4 or more trips to this store I waited in the Lottery line while she opened the machine pulled a piece of jammed paper out for a different customer. I'm not sure why this happened? Maybe it's time for Royal Farms to retrain on customer service. I'm leaving this review based on customer service NOT LOTTERY. read more

This store is dirty. I thought it was just busy but I was in this location yesterday as well. Both inside and out.

Eat here and get gas, or so the sign should say. It can be in any order. I got gas and then decided on a breakfast sandwich. This was interesting, because it took a minute to figure out how to do the order at the order kiosk. I mastered this task, and then stood in line to pay. Upon paying, and recieving no receipt, I then stood staring at the assembly staff who pit my breakfast sandwich together. Nicely, the kiosk allows complete customization. The frustration is that if you do not know the system, you will definitely struggle. This place is packed with all kinds of construction workers, truck drivers, and us regular gas getters. The food is passable, and the fried chicken looked quite appetizing, so we may try that next chance. I buy gas here about once a month, and this was my first try at the food. I will try it again, but not soon. The regulars all seem very intent on it. Eat well, tip well. read more

Typical ROFO...Cold drinks and hot chicken. Store relatively clean except for the can outside. There's a red box if your in the mood for a movie. Theres normally a homeless person leaning up against it so, ask his advice if you can't make up your mind. read more

For being a fairly new store this place has already gone to crap. We stopped in tonight on our way home from Calvert County and since this was the first Royal Farms we came to we stopped for both gas and to pick up some chicken for dinner. My first stop was tho the restroom which was dirty and looked like a bomb went off in it - the cover for the toilet paper was missing, a roll with 3 or 4 sheets of toilet tissue sat sadly on the top of it and when I went to wash my hands there was not only no soap in either dispenser but there was a wad of hair from someone's weave in the bottom of the sink. The chicken had just came out so that was fairly decent but the fact that there were no plastic bags for patrons to carry their food and other items they purchase in was a little ridiculous. Won't be back at this location ever again, it was nice when it first opened but clearly either the clientele or management could care less about keeping a nice store in the area. Also, none of the gas pumps would work for my husband when he tried to use his credit card. read more

How can you have 3 empty coffee cannisters on a Sunday mid afternoon. Clearly poor management. One worker at register and food counter. Later joined by a 2nd one...both doing what they could but clearly pissed that they had no help and customers were asking for coffee to be started and they just shrugged shoulders like...too bad.
