There was a line and only one employee behind the counter. They do highly encourage the use of the self checkout registers. However, with what I needed it wouldn't have mattered. To say the line moved slowly would be an understatement. It didn't help that they were sending people to the self checkout that didn't want to use it and when they used it, they needed assistance from the only employee behind the counter. Every customer in front of me just seemed to lack every concept of how to complete a transaction in a store. I finally get to the counter, was kind of directed to the self checkout, but I was like, nope, I need something from behind you. I had to tell the employee several times what it was, I think on the third try it was the right item. I understand she was flustered, but you could have completed your tasks with anything faster than the speed of a sloth.

After going inside it felt a little to small for my liking. I had to reroute myself several times just to look at items because of the people in here. I will give them this, it is nice and bright in the store and everything seemed organized and in place. I found my items and went to pay. The two employees working made it feel like anyone that was in the store was interrupting them and we should have just left without anything in our hands. It took a while be be rung up as the guy was having a full on conversation and slowly processing the transaction. What really bothered me was that even after you paid, it felt like they were waiting to accuse you of stealing something. My friends that came with me had already paid and were waiting there for me to finish. As I was going through my transaction they kept looking at my friends, who had already paid, like they wanted to accuse them so badly of stealing what they just paid for. Once I finished my transaction we headed outside and were on our way.

After a 6am run to the airport, (Oct 2025), I was in the mood for fried chicken, of all things. On the way home, I searched for who's open, and this Royal Farm said they opened at 5am! I've had some RoFo chicken disappointments before, but a tip of the hat to Daym, who has mentioned this technique: For the freshest fast-food, go to a place as soon as possible after opening time! I got there around 6:30am, and surprise, they actually had chicken freshly made at that hour! I got just one fried chicken thigh. It was hot and crispy, and the chicken was tender and juicy and flavorful, right up there with the well-known drive-through places. Now I know why folks love their RoFo chicken. Come when they've made a fresh batch! For me, it's now on my "breakfast" list :-)

Since I am a RoFo rewards member my coffee was only 1.99 would have been 2.49 at regular price. They have one of those machines that brews the coffee fresh each time. Nice to know it hasn't been sitting all day. Store wasn't busy this morning. They didn't have any cashiers but they have two self service registers. Prices are what you would expect for any convenience store. I have been here on other occasions to grab a beverage or snack. Overall not a bad place so I will return.
