This was a take out order for my family, on yesterday 6/8/25. We haven't there in a while, so we decided to visit here again. We ordered seafood egg fo young, ribs, house fried rice, shrimp fried rice, beef egg rolls and shrimp egg rolls. I used to order the shrimp egg rolls but they only used to give a tiny shrimp in the roll. Now, they one regular size shrimp. I guess that means I need to stop that off the menu. I'll select something else, next time. Anyway the food was delicious, the employees were nice and the restaurant was super clean. We will definitely be back soon. :-) read more

OK... So it's 3:30 in the afternoon in Fayetteville, Georgia, and I am at the Airbnb home alone. Everyone else had to go to rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for the wedding tomorrow or they went shopping. I am not a shopper; give me a credit card and a catalogue and I am good to go. I got a little hungry and decided that I wanted to order Uber eats and I wanted Chinese food. So I looked through my Yelp reviews for Chinese food in this area and settled on a place called Royal chef. Seeing how I am a Uber one member I thought I'd order me some food from Royal chef and have it delivered. Therefore, I was not able to take any pictures of the restaurant. I don't know what it looks like on the inside and I don't have any transportation here with me. So based on those facts, I decided to get some general Tso chicken, chicken eggrolls, and fried rice. I liked the fact that the food came very quickly... I'm talking once I place the order I was eating probably within the next 20 minutes. The food was really good. The general Tso chicken did not come with broccoli or rice which I'm kind of accustomed to, but it was still delicious. It did have thinly sliced carrots, zucchini, onions, and some other vegetables My meal was good. It was delicious really but who knew I needed to ask for soy sauce and sweet-and-sour sauce to go with my meal. I'm thinking that that comes without asking, but of course I was wrong. So overall experience, I give them five stars because the food was delicious and the service was very quick. Plus in one of the reviews that I read (from another Elite member) she said that this place was a must eat kinda deal. read more

My Son wanted fried rice for a family birthday dinner, only it wasn't dinner, it was about 4pm on a Monday . It's 4 of us, in a booth. The food took about 15 mins to come out. Chicken was fried so hard I didn't feel safe letting my 2yr old have any. The Tangerine chicken sauce was delicious, but the amount of chewing it took to swallow the meat wore out my jaws. What's worse, the General Tso's Chicken was just as hard. The white rice was light and airy. The plain fried rice was bland and lacked that fried rice color. I ordered my food it was $ 37.92. While waiting for my food, I was sitting down looking for the food inspection number. It wasn't behind the counter so you can see it. It was by the the door as you are walking in so your back is to it, if I hadn't looked up, I would've never seen it. when I saw the score, I see why it was hidden by the door. It was a 32 when I asked questions the employee gave vague answers about cans having decent. The employee assured me that it had nothing to do with the food not being good however, I took his word for it came home started to eat. The food did not taste good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We usually order takeout, but have sat in the waiting area at times while ordering in person. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance nice. It's really the food I want to talk about here. I am vegan, and they have a wonderful vegan selection of foods, as well as they have been excellent about modifying certain things to make them vegan, even if the option doesn't exist on the menu. They never give us trouble about customizing things like cutting tofu into smaller pieces or cooking the veggies soft to accommodate those of us who need those accommodations. We are faithful customers who will keep choosing them every time for our favorite, flavorful Asian foods. read more

I've been craving Chinese food for a while. I haven't found one I cared for in Fayetteville. I stumbled on this place thru fellow Yelpers. The food is good and fresh. Everything was very tasty, and I stumbled on the best moo shoo pork I've had in a while. We are still eating, and I'm brought the bill with leftover boxes. Like SERIOUSLY? I'm still eating. Good Food and Service! This restaurant is located inside the Publix Shopping Center with other shops. They are located on the end in the shopping plaza next to Publix. Came here to grab a late lunch ( lunch is over at 3:30pm) I ordered the lunch mixed vegetables w/ brown sauce ($10.95).This was a Togo order . I placed my order at the counter/register. Family came here on snow day when everything else was closed. They were very friendly and had fast service. Wife and I shared the dinner for 2. The food here was surprisingly good. Was planning on eating at a different spot but ended up here. The lunch special comes with a LOT of food. For the price, you get the entre' PLUS choice of soup and a Spring roll and a cheese ragoon. They also place some of those crunchy noodles on the table with your drink. My first experience it was pretty disappointing. My second experience today was completely flat. I ordered chicken lo mein, and it has bean sprouts ? Usually a sign of trying to fill the food with other things than protein Not very much Chicken again I'm afraid My wonton soup has no chicken in it. It was just a couple of wontons and chicken broth. Lunch Special portion of soup was a small bowl, with a single wonton. Crab Rangoon well prepared, however the filling seemed to be only cream cheese. Did not see or taste any crab. My husband and I went for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. From the outside, it did look like a little hole in the wall, but we decided to take a chance. Upon entering, we were kindly greeted by the hostess and immediately taken to our seats, but to be fair, it wasn't very crowded. Within 5 min, our server took our drink orders and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. We ordered the family dinner for 2 and for the amount of food we received and the amount paid, it was worth it. For $36 you received two chicken skewers, two egg rolls, a choice of egg drop soup or hot and sour soup, fried or white rice, and a choice of Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken. We like our food spicy so we asked for it and it was no charge. The food looked and tasted decent, arrived quick with appetizers and main course brought out in a timely fashion. They even gave a cute slice of watermelon for everyone. We were in and out in less than an hour and had food to take home. Overall, for the price we paid, quality, and amount of food, we would def go back again. And make sure you grab one of those melon mints on the way out the door. read more

Food was absolutely disgusting! Made my entire family sick after just two bites. Will not be returning.

I had to explain to the waitress that braised beef cannot be Flank cut steak. I ordered the schezuan braised beef and it was not a brisket cut it was flank steak breaded and fried. I explained that i didnt get what i ordered and she proceeded to try and convince me that braised beef is breaded beef not stew beef and tried to just change the definition of the word. Just change your menu its wrong im a chef and this is not what braised means. Also on top of that she still charged me half of that mean plus the new one i ordered because it was beef not chicken? If the menu items are written wrong thats not my fault and i shouldn't be charged for that read more

This was not as good as I was hoping. I think when you order chinese takeout you expect the same flavors wherever you go, on "classic" dishes, or at least I do. I didn't find the taste I was hoping for. Delivery (through door dash) was on time and easy. Everything was packaged well. I ordered general tso's with fried rice and crab rangoon. The quality of the chicken was good. Everything came hot. The crab rangoon was below average, the wanton it was fried so crisp it was hard to eat, and there was barely any filling. Eatable, but I would not order again. The chicken in the general tso's was good quality, and didn't have too much breading. The flavor was a little sweeter than I was hoping for, but it wasn't bad. The fried rice was the most disappointing, it had NOTHING besides rice, not carrots or onions or peas or egg, nothing, it was dry and pretty much flavorless, not even worth eating. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint would be that they are a little stingy with the rice. I like to get fried rice and most places fill the containers, I'm assuming because it's a rice based/heavy dish. However, they don't fill the containers. I have frequent Royal Chef many years, more so prior to COVID. A quaint eatery with a pleasant atmosphere. And the servers always got it right on lower sodium options that I would request. Light white garlic sauce, and vegetables crunchy. I have gone 2Xs since for take out. And again it's always the vegetables/entrees are drowning in brown sauce overcooked, and entrees never appear freshly cooked, no matter what I request . Further, the to go containers are divided in half - with the rice having as much space as the entree. I will just have to cherish pre-COVID, and move on. read more

We have tried the royal chef a few times since moving to the area. We have not been disappointed yet. The food is always fresh. It is prepared quickly. They will deliver within a reasonable area. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and the bathrooms are clean as well. There is always plenty of parking as it is in the publix shopping center. We have tried several dishes and appetizers and they are all excellent. The prices are very reasonable and within local standards. The only problem we have is that one of the young ladies who works the front desk is ALWAYS on her cell phone. I ordered crab Rangoon in there honey spareribs, their crab raccoon very very greasy not sealed properly so the feeling is not even there, not much at least. It tastes greasy there's no flavor to the filling it's very bland. The spareribs the same thing as well just felt they were cooked days ago and then just reheated. read more

The BEST Chinese restaurant we go to as it is consistent and always delicious! Prices aren't all that bad and while the menu is typical Americanize Chinese food the presentation for a small place in Grocery store shopping center is that of a 4-star restaurant! Service is friendly, fast, and competent. Atmosphere is nice but still personable Mom & Pop. Delivery is offered but Dine-in is a must. Yet to find a place we can recommend more highly for Chinese food than Royal Chef! read more
