Thankfully, this event is free to enjoy with optional purchases if you want to buy art, food, etc. There are also free performances and live music. I love how the fair is seemingly planned around the U District light rail station. The station brings your right into the middle of it! It really encourages people to use public transportation to get here, which makes sense since there's limited car parking. There's a good variety of vendors participating in this event. There's a whole side street dedicated to the food court and they had so many different types of food from dumplings to cannoli, and more! There are also some food vendors scattered around too. The line for the Alaska Weathervane Scallops was insane, so I skipped on it, but I regret not trying it. As far as the other vendors, there were a bunch of people selling art, pet food, gifts, even Orca public transit had a booth!

I especially enjoyed the scallops from the Alaskan Weathervane seafood truck and the Ghanian food from Blackstar food truck which had tasty lamb kebobs. This is my first time to the Georgetown Carnival (The event is free) I honestly I don't know if I…read morehave heard of it before or not since there always seems to be going on in Seattle each weekend. Especially with the warmer weather coming around. There is so many different kinds of things to see here! There is a section where there are all kinds of food trucks where you can get pretty much anything you want. If you desire something a bit more relaxing then you can also go in all of the eating establishments in the neighborhood that are open and ready to receive guests who want to sit and relax. After making it past the food trucks there are just all kinds of vendors selling pretty much anything you can think of as well. From crafts to shirts to jewelry and so much more! There are performers dressed up as clowns, fairies, drag queens and various other kinds of personas that people are totally prepared to be in character for. Throughout the day there are free concerts that take place too! There are events that happen all day but the events I saw was the power tool races where contestants assemble old power tools like saws and sanders into vehicles in which they drag race each other. While it appears that every racer is confident that their vehicle is dependable and fast when it comes down to it sometimes it just doesn't work out at all. Which is part of the quirky charm with this event. The races have very odd and hilarious homemade metal trophies to whoever is the best racer at the end as well as who qualifies in various categories. So much fun! There was also a clown side show where magic tricks were being performed as well as a fun house of sorts where many carnival antiques are housed along with clown masks, face painting and various other activities. Fun! I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open for when the carnival rolls around again next year because I would love to see more of those power tool races again!

Our apple wallet tickets were scanned yet we were given a one day VIP pass and wrist band. They said that was all they were given. After we get in, the show was cool, pretty much what was expected. The next day seemed things to be a little bit more in order but when I pulled up my apple wallet 2day VIP ticket I had purchased, it said the ticket had expired. They then tell me there's nothing they can do about it. I told them they were going to do something about it and they argued with me in front of everyone. I clearly had a two day VIP pass. They had to get a "manager" to finally acknowledge that they and the system had made a mistake. You think! Still a cool show just very disorganized and mismanaged event with not enough staff to handle the crowd including coat check. Hopefully they make changes next year.

It was much smaller than I imagined, I had visions of the San Gennaro festival in little Italy in Manhattan where I grew up... It was much smaller and intimate. They had some local musicians on stage and some vendors. I was disappointed with the food selection because the two things I wanted to eat were both not available and they are staples of these kinds of Italian street festivals. Sausage and peppers was my food choice and zeppolas as my dessert. They had some mini conolli though. Some of the vendors had done nice Italian gifts, so that was the most interesting thing to me. This is the third year I think so there is plenty of room to grow...

It's not a professional sports experience, but I wouldn't expect it to be -- and honestly, they do a really good job with what they have. One of the coolest parts is the history around the venue. They have a Hall of Fame area and a small museum-style section that's fun to walk through before the game. They also do themed nights that make the experience even more enjoyable. We went on Star Wars night two years in a row, and they had Star Wars characters all over the arena, which was a blast. I've brought friends and family members to games, and everyone has enjoyed themselves. It's also very easy to get to using the light rail, and for basketball games there's usually plenty of parking available nearby. Overall, it's one of the better entertainment values in Seattle. For the ticket price, there really isn't much else you can do in the city that's this fun and family-friendly. And beyond basketball, the other Husky sporting events we've attended have been great experiences too.

If you sit on the second-tier bleachers, it gets warmer and warmer when it is 70 degrees outside. It is a covered arena, adjacent to the open-air Husky Stadium. The primary parking is Lot E1. The portion that is closest to the building is E-18; Google map shows it. If anyone needs ADA parking, E-17 is a small, closer one with ADA only parking. While the building is most commonly used for basketball, it can be rented out, such as for graduations. The Bellevue school district's four high schools rotate their four graduations in a single day. It is a hot mess - figuratively and literally on a hot day. Be warned if you are going. They have a Huskies gift shop for those looking to shop.

The bowling balls were nice as they accommodated smaller or larger hands, depending on the weight. I did find the balls to glide through the lanes easier than other places I've been to, but they seemed heavier. Aside from the bowling itself, nothing beats watching your Seahawks beat the 49ers while we bowl!

What was even more bizarre is that on Saturday they sent me their pricing which included capacity limits listing 250 ppl as the most (for full venue, including Barrel Room). On Monday when they responded again, I was told they only hold events with 60 or fewer guests and best of luck in my search. I guess I'm glad there was no need to pursue this further because this mess of communication would not bode well for planning any event, especially a wedding.

The venue is enchanting and perfect for a small wedding. Unfortunately, venue management is rude,…read moredishonest, and very difficult to work with. Table Catering Co. has an exclusive catering contract and manages the Almquist venue. As long as Brooke and the Table team are managing Almquist, I would NEVER recommend it. It was clear early on that the venue's mismanagement was going to be an issue, but we loved the Almquist Winery so much that we decided to do everything in our power to make it work. We hired one of Almquist's "preferred" wedding planners in the hopes that they would have a positive working relationship. Unfortunately, as time went on our wedding planners repeatedly told us that Table's administrative practices were "horrendous" and "unacceptable". Eventually it got so bad that our planners (their PREFERRED planners) said they "were severing all future ties". Table did so many rude and unprofessional things that I can't name them all and stay in the character limits for this review. They didn't show up for scheduled meetings and tastings. They sent us invoices with an illegal additional 2.2% tax charge (King County tax rate is 10.25%. They tried to charge us 12.44%). After months of reaching out and working together (and Jenny confirming our date), they made us change the date of our wedding because they didn't want to book a Saturday for less than 80 people. After several rounds of invoicing from Jenny, Brooke added an additional $1,200 to our venue costs. Worst of all, a mere 20 days before our wedding, Brooke refused to honor our executed contract and tacked on an additional $1,000+. When we asked them to honor their written estimates and contracts along the way, their response was, essentially, if you don't want to pay the higher price then cancel your wedding because another bride will pay us more. As our wedding date got closer and they kept finding new charges to add to our invoices and signed contracts we felt extorted. We had to either pay their extra fees or cancel our wedding at the last minute. In total we paid $11,718.59 to Almquist/Table for a 30 person wedding on a Sunday evening. This broke down as follows: $400 for a 3 person tasting; $2,325.00 for 3 food stations and 3 Hors d'Oeuvres; $1,670 for service staff (1 bartender, 2 servers, and 3 chefs); $3,300 for the event space (greenhouse and restaurant); $250 for a cleaning fee; $870 in bar charges; $1,052.29 in taxes; and $1,851.30 in mandatory administrative fees. The mandatory administrative fees are described in the contract as "Admin fee includes all gratuity and service charges". Despite paying over $3,500 in wages and mandatory gratuities for 5 service staff, on the day of our wedding we received terrible service and the staff actively solicited additional tips from our guests. The bartender went so far as to put a tip jar front and center on the counter and place a $20 bill slung over the side to encourage our guests to tip more. It was incredibly tacky.
