The odds they employ in the slots are absolutely ridiculous, and to make it worse, the odds-making seems to vary each time a game is played. Seriously? My room was clean and comfortable. There was some visible wear in places, particularly around the shower tile, but nothing that affected the stay. The in-room safe had no power, so I reported that. I also appreciated receiving daily housekeeping service, especially since some hotels now skip days unless you specifically request it. On my first day, someone from the hotel emailed to make sure everything was going well. I replied with a few suggestions, including the issue with the safe. I don't know whether every guest receives that outreach, but it was a thoughtful touch. The one real miss was room service. Ordering was handled through a QR code, but I received an error when I tried to submit my order. Rather than keep troubleshooting it, I used DoorDash instead. Would I stay here again? Yes. He told us how to get the Seattle City Pass which was an incredible deal, as well as let us know about the Sea-Tac spot saver at the airport. The rooms are extremely (I get it, it's Seattle). The bed is a hideaway bed, which one down is really hard to walk around the room. Again, this just gets the job done.. it's it's right by the Paramount theater, which is where we were going, so I'm not gonna complain about the space when we only stayed a night. They do have a dishwasher and silverware and plates and everything so that did come in handy and we do appreciate those items. That said, the Camlin is kind of known for being... old. They don't have vending machines, they do have an ice machine in the basement and a small water cooler in the gym area (also in the basement). The TV - just terrible. I'm hoping they had DVDs somewhere that you could rent or borrow for the night, but I wasn't aware of when we checked in. Granted I did not ask, so if I were to guess, I would assume it would be in the game room located on the lobby. The TV was probably one of the worst things I've ever experienced in a hotel. The guide option didn't work so we didn't know what was actually available on the TV and we had to slowly go through the channels to see if they even worked. The service option is not really an option that Camlin provides, so I'm not sure really why that's on their remote. Also, the only plug-in for your phone charger is on the alarm clock that's located by the TV versus on a nightstand, but that's more because the bed is a hideaway. The other thing I really dislike is that the parking garage is not connected to the hotel. You do need to walk about 1 to 2 blocks, which is OK normally, but it does suck when it's snowing, or hailing which it did this weekend. Yay us! It's about $45 for a parking pass, which is cheaper than the more luxurious hotels, but again you get what you paid for and at least for the Camlin, they have reserved specific spots for the Camlin residence. We did find dried blood on our top sheet, this bothered my husband, a little more than me, the customer service was able to resolve this pretty quickly and noted it in our file. I have all the confidence that the Camlin will make sure that this does not happen again. Overall, it's personally a cheap day for me to go if I'm going to the Paramount theater, but if you're looking for something a little more comfortable, a little more bougie, a little more luxury, there are a few other options in that area that I would recommend higher. Now, I have used the Camlin twice for the penthouse suites; those are really nice. So if you can afford it, and you wanna splurge, I would highly recommend the top floors. Those alone, I would give a four star.

There is a good assortment of light gun, classic fighters and of course DDR which they were real generous with - 6 credits on a swipe which is like 9 song/sets! There is a bar but it's kind of basic compared to the afformentioned Dave & Busters, which makes that part of their identity. Also the person selling me the game card was fast on talk, and slow on the explanation of how things work which could've been better. It was nearing close so I wasn't going go through the whole rundown. Fun time here if you're looking for something to do in the area, but a Barcade or Dave & Busters will do the job all the same.

First, the loud noise and flashing lights made me feel like I was in a casino for kids. Something creepy about the vibe there. Second, there was no real air conditioning on a hot summer day, just these mobile a/c fans that blew cold air and were quite loud, adding to an already noisy place. Third, the games were very expensive. You have to buy a card for game credits and swipe that card whenever you play a game. We calculated later that it was cost us $1.60-2.30 PER GAME. That is including vintage games like Frogger and Ms. Pacman and other games like Operation, Skeeball, and driving games that only give you one life. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I went to A LOT of arcades as a kid and teen. I don't expect places to be like the arcades I went to back then, but I do expect a fair and decent exchange for my money for the experience of playing a video game. Three lives/tries per fee is a fair exchange. GameWorks is nothing like that, and for that reason, along with others I've given here, I won't be back.

And my first time experiencing anything like it. My friend Emma drove us on with her car, but you can walk or bike on. The ferry ride itself continues to be one of the most iconic travel experiences in the Seattle area. Seattle skyline, Mount Rainier, and the surrounding islands we were able to see so clearly on this beautiful hot day. The ferry's name comes from the word wenatch in the Yakama laguage, which means "river flowing from canyon". Such a wonderful experience so glad we had perfect weather and the best company to enjoy the day with.
