I tried to explain that people were right behind us and it wasn't safe to block egress but the people at the front desk said that it wasn't a problem. My husband just needed to block traffic and unload our things then wait for a valet driver to appear. I asked if we could upgrade our room to a club level but was informed that they have no ability to do so at the front desk and haven't for some time. I was very disappointed at this. It would have been one thing if they were booked but just flat out denial just because felt somehow personal (even if it wasn't actually). I went back out to the entrance to see if I could spot my husband and made him stop. Soon after a valet arrived and said he should park the car perpendicular to the other cars so he would have somewhere to park. This would have effectively blocked both the valet cars and the through traffic lanes. He then asked if we were going to do valet parking. I told him "not any more!" This hotel charges $69 a night for valet and the self parking isn't worlds cheaper but it definitely felt worth it to have our car placed carefully by us and not left in the care of the person who felt perpendicular/blocking through traffic was a good idea. Meanwhile I found our room that has a persistent sound of whistling when the heating is on and I found that the bathroom, while beautiful had a rather unappealing quality. When you use the toilet you are looking directly into a rather large mirror. When taken all together it makes for a rather disappointing experience. I don't think I will stay at any Hyatt again. There are other options that are pleasant and clean and well thought out nearby.

The hotel staff provided exceptional customer service, thoroughly explaining everything during our check-in. My partner had booked the stay using one of his reward cards, which also included free tickets to the Seattle Great Wheel--an added bonus. Overall, I highly recommend The W, and we definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit.

I did receive the tickets to the Great Wheel but never used them although they are good up to a year from the ticket's insurance date. I guess you get some of your destination fee back with a $14 food and beverage credit when you charge it to your room, but essentially they are forcing you to dine on the property. To top that off, whenever you purchased food and beverage from any of the food outlets, they charge a mandatory service fee which I guess was okay if you consider that as mandatory tip. Anyhow, what I did like about this hotel is that it was really close to the Symphony light rail stop. However, what was unpleasant was having to push my heavy suitcase up the hill. It seemed like the room was a bit run down particularly the bathroom. The water pressure in my shower was sporadic like it needed a water hammer arrestor. My room smelled like moth balls. The lower level lobby was only accessible via stairs. This is an issue if you had luggage like I did. I think you would have to go back outside and walk on the sidewalk to get to the upper level lobby. Although the staff was very friendly, I was disappointed overall with my stay. I was expecting more from the W hotel.

From front desk, valet guys, housekeeping and the bartender here is chef's kiss. The rooms have always been very clean and I love the stone walk in shower. The water pressure is amazing. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash has the best smell. When we stayed last year we had the most adorable bear ottomans in front of the fireplace. I was severely disappointed when we came back this year and there's just a little plain ottoman where the bear used to be. Parking overnight is pricey, but you can see the parking lot from the lobby which is nice. I can't wait to come back and stay here again.

There were no complimentary water bottles in my room or available at the front desk.

Let's be honest, this hotel strictly gets the job done... but just barely…read more I think the customer service is great, it is a smaller hotel chain, so you really get the immediate service experience, but there are quite a few flaws. The rooms are extremely (I get it, it's Seattle). The bed is a hideaway bed, which one down is really hard to walk around the room. Again, this just gets the job done.. it's it's right by the Paramount theater, which is where we were going, so I'm not gonna complain about the space when we only stayed a night. They do have a dishwasher and silverware and plates and everything so that did come in handy and we do appreciate those items. That said, the Camlin is kind of known for being... old. They don't have vending machines, they do have an ice machine in the basement and a small water cooler in the gym area (also in the basement). The TV - just terrible. I'm hoping they had DVDs somewhere that you could rent or borrow for the night, but I wasn't aware of when we checked in. Granted I did not ask, so if I were to guess, I would assume it would be in the game room located on the lobby. The TV was probably one of the worst things I've ever experienced in a hotel. The guide option didn't work so we didn't know what was actually available on the TV and we had to slowly go through the channels to see if they even worked. The service option is not really an option that Camlin provides, so I'm not sure really why that's on their remote. Also, the only plug-in for your phone charger is on the alarm clock that's located by the TV versus on a nightstand, but that's more because the bed is a hideaway. The other thing I really dislike is that the parking garage is not connected to the hotel. You do need to walk about 1 to 2 blocks, which is OK normally, but it does suck when it's snowing, or hailing which it did this weekend. Yay us! It's about $45 for a parking pass, which is cheaper than the more luxurious hotels, but again you get what you paid for and at least for the Camlin, they have reserved specific spots for the Camlin residence. We did find dried blood on our top sheet, this bothered my husband, a little more than me, the customer service was able to resolve this pretty quickly and noted it in our file. I have all the confidence that the Camlin will make sure that this does not happen again. Overall, it's personally a cheap day for me to go if I'm going to the Paramount theater, but if you're looking for something a little more comfortable, a little more bougie, a little more luxury, there are a few other options in that area that I would recommend higher. Now, I have used the Camlin twice for the penthouse suites; those are really nice. So if you can afford it, and you wanna splurge, I would highly recommend the top floors. Those alone, I would give a four star.

Food, drinks and of course a bunch of games to play. Difference here is they seem to host ESports and other games beyond arcade games which is cool. This particular visit was kind of like a Classic play some games and laugh along the way rather than expect to find gem games of days gone by or even present. There is a good assortment of light gun, classic fighters and of course DDR which they were real generous with - 6 credits on a swipe which is like 9 song/sets! There is a bar but it's kind of basic compared to the afformentioned Dave & Busters, which makes that part of their identity. Also the person selling me the game card was fast on talk, and slow on the explanation of how things work which could've been better. It was nearing close so I wasn't going go through the whole rundown. Fun time here if you're looking for something to do in the area, but a Barcade or Dave & Busters will do the job all the same.

And my first time experiencing anything like it. My friend Emma drove us on with her car, but you can walk or bike on. The ferry ride itself continues to be one of the most iconic travel experiences in the Seattle area. Seattle skyline, Mount Rainier, and the surrounding islands we were able to see so clearly on this beautiful hot day. The ferry's name comes from the word wenatch in the Yakama laguage, which means "river flowing from canyon". Such a wonderful experience so glad we had perfect weather and the best company to enjoy the day with.
