I booked a stay for 4 nights here due to its convenience in location around SoHo and FiDi. Breakfast every morning was fresh and good with no complaints. Coffee bar made great matcha lattes and the kitchen made good eggs and breakfast selections. The room itself was clean and had its old vintage twist to it but it did the job and the important things like the air condition and bathroom was all modern. Nothing amazing stood out but it was a good hotel in a good location with decent food options in the morning. It's lively at night with music and vibes. I would book this place if you want to be in a safe and good location near some of the best parts of Manhattan!

Great spot with live music upstairs in lounge area, a dj on certain nights in the bar and good food. Service is excellent. Pricey but worth it. Something for everyone.

This was my first time visiting The Roxy. My date and I just went for appetizers, a drink, and some vibes. This establishment has been there for like 1,000 years (I'm obviously exaggerating), so it has a beautiful old New York aesthetic. We ordered the oysters roxyfellar and the octopus. The oysters were EXCELLENT, but I wish the portion offered a half dozen instead of just 4 for the price. The octopus was cooked well and quite delicious. My espresso martini was amazing (and I'm a bit of an espresso martini snob). There was an old school live band playing relaxing tunes featuring drums and a bass. The entirety of the experience was a dope, classy setting that made for a lovely Saturday evening. I'd definitely go back!

The Roxy day or night has numerous activities and spaces for outings. Dates, friends day/night out, and family friendly space. There's a dance club, theater, and live performances throughout this hotel. Easy to commute next to the A canal station. Great for all seasons especially nyc winters. My go to oyster bar where you can enjoy live jazz within the gazebo. The bartenders and waiters are well dressed and highly professional. Nothing but great service. The decor is mod retro with a romantic dim setting. There's an assortment of cocktails and wine but the food was a surprise. My guest and I happen to catch Sunday noon brunch. We just had to at this point, once I saw pancakes, it was a wrap. I ordered the brown butter pancakes which had cooked apple cubes and cinnamon served with maple syrup. It was definitely brunch priced but worth it. I tasted layers of cinnamon and apple spice. The syrup was light but great compliment. My guest had eggs Benedict served with side salad, Canadian bacon on top English muffin and chopped fried potatoes. For drinks, cappuccino with oat milk and Americano. We ate everything on our plates and enjoyed our coffees. I was impressed. During brunch, there was live jazz that made our brunch cozily entertaining. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon and will continue to return here for future events and activities. Restrooms located lower level. You don't have to be a guest to enjoy the lounge. There's movies and live performances in lower level. Check events via website. Add the Roxy to your Ny lounge itinerary.

Looking up from the roxy bar

Hands down one of the best experiences and hotel stays I've had. For a new york hotel, the rooms were huge, exceptionally clean and even better staff. Daniel, Danny and Marcos specifically made my almost 2 week stay, one of the best trips of my life. They made me feel safe, welcome and at home while there. I'm looking forward to visiting again!!

This is what I think of when I think of a hotel in Manhattan. Very stylish but on the small side. They have live jazz and a movie theater which is cool. Why 2 stars you ask...My checkin process was painful. The person in front of me had an issue and was taking a long time. There was another employee next to her who was just hanging out and when I asked if she could help me, she said I had to wait. Ok...then a guy cuts in line in front of me and they started helping him and I had to step. Perhaps it was that experience but it rubbed off on my view of the room. It not great. Dusty and dirty floors, won't be coming here again.

Stayed here for three nights. The good: Location - plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, walkable North to Soho or south to Chinatown and Wall Street, subway stop outside Bar/Lobby - Nice coffee dock and bar where live jazz bands play most nights, also an oyster bar and pool table. Make reservations for the evening though. They were training new staff and also they were installing new reservations software so I'll give them a pass regarding checking in and out. The bad: Hotel residents should not pay extra for the cinema and the jazz club downstairs when a nightly $35 amenity fee is already built into the cost of accommodation. I asked a staff member what I was getting for my €35 a night and he said the use of the bar area - a bar area which is open to the public free of charge. I'm calling bullshit on that one. Room service trays were left on floors for over 24 hours, not very hygienic or efficient. Rooms could do with better soundproofing, more modern amenities such as USB ports and definitely upgraded shower heads.

I loved the view.

I go to New York City every summer to celebrate my birthday. This year was a milestone birthday, and I came to celebrate with friends and family. I have stayed at the Roxy Hotel in TriBeca for the last ten years, other than the one Covid year, and I have always been very happy with everything and everyone connected to the hotel. It's in a great location, walking distance from Chinatown, Little Italy, the lower east side, and Battery Park. There are also many subway lines within a few blocks of the hotel. When I called to make the reservation, I spoke to Lissy Guzmán, the front desk supervisor, and she was extremely gracious. I had never met her, but she was very attentive. She gave me a good price and made the reservation. I also called her a few days later to make a reservation for my daughter. When I arrived, Zillah greeted me with a glass of prosecco. She was extremely friendly and attentive throughout my five day stay. Kelly also greeted me upon arrival. Roger was also extremely gracious. Everyone who works there goes above and beyond expectations. When I arrived, a bottle of champagne and birthday cake was delivered to my room. Lissy was responsible for this extra treat. My room was great, as always, and quiet, as requested. There is music at night, but once I went up to my room, I didn't hear it. The restaurants are excellent. I had breakfast there every day. My daughter's flight was delayed and then cancelled, so I changed her reservation to two days later. There was no problem. Two days later she again went to the airport and her flight was again delayed and then cancelled. She gave up and never came to NY. There was no problem cancelling the reservation. I have met many wonderful Roxy associates throughout the years, and Lissy is, in my opinion, at the top! She was beyond attentive to my every need, and extremely friendly. She even made my friend who came to visit feel very welcome. I hope she and the others, who are right up there with her, will be there for many years, because I plan to keep returning to the Roxy, my favorite hotel!

The 4 stars is for the ambiance and live jazz. The food and drinks and service is 2 stars. Did not stay in the hotel but went for dinner, drinks, and a 2 hour jazz performance on a Thursday night 830-1030PM on the lobby floor Ambiance The room facing the stage is BIG. Leather couches and regular sized tables plus huge carpeted ramps The bar next to the room was bifurcated by glass and was not overly crowded but very little bar stools --like they expect you to stand---and 2 sit down tables Cool venue with a movie theater in the basement too! Food We ordered the charcuterie board, fries, chicken sandwich and fries plus 3 espresso martinis and 2 rosés by the time we got to sit down on a couch Charcuterie board was $28 and I was unimpressed. 2 BIG pieces of cheese and no knife nor fork. Honey with no spoon. The cheese seemed old not aged, I mean it has been sitting for a bit. Espresso martinis tasted like a cold Americano with too much water. Fries were cold. Special Note Overall, it might be confusing for first timers because there are multiple entrances and one requires a reservation while the others don't. Enter through the main entrance, you will see a click! Django, the real jazz club, is in the basement with small tables, dim lighting, and charges $25 cover I would come back to watch the performance on the lobby floor and maybe Django. But I would drink and eat somewhere else ahead of time!

Cool place
Justin M.

Beautiful and great music. Wish I would have gotten to see it more as enjoyed just as much and it didn't have the $150 charge underneath for django. Lot of people enjoying the food. Next time.

Odd question but want to stay here and host some friends who live in the area - are the elevators "keyed" so that people can visit without the hassle of going to the front desk? Thanks.

No keys. It's more of a bar so anyone can go up

Traveling during the holidays can be hectic, but the staff at the Park Hyatt made everything feel effortless. Every interaction -- from the front desk to housekeeping to the concierge -- was filled with genuine kindness, patience, and warmth. It was clear they weren't just doing their jobs; they truly cared about making our holiday special. The hotel itself is stunningly elegant yet incredibly comfortable. After long walks through Central Park, returning to our room felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat. The spaciousness, thoughtful details, and quiet luxury made it easy for our family to relax, laugh, and simply be together -- which is what the holidays are really about. We had our first breakfast in New York at the hotel's "the living room" which is located in the lobby. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with modern decor and stunning 30 foot ceilings. We arrived at 7am as the restaurant just opened and Kamil greeted us with a warm genuine smile. We've stayed at 5 different Park Hyatts in the past 5 years (Kyoto being the most recent) and no one has made us feel as special as Kamil. He has the unique gift of hospitality. He went out of his way to treat us like family and made us feel very special. All of his small gestures, friendly smiles, and thoughtful attention to detail, turned simple moments into special memories. During a season meant for connection and joy, the Park Hyatt delivered both in abundance. Spending Christmas in New York is always special, but spending it at the Park Hyatt New York elevated the experience beyond anything we could have imagined. Our days were spent with full hearts, lasting memories, and deep gratitude for a team that understands true hospitality. This is a place we will return to -- not just for the luxury, but for the people who made us feel so genuinely at home during the most meaningful time of year.

Unfortunately, due to geopolitical instability impacting our return route through Amman and the broader Persian Gulf region, our travel plans became unworkable. I contacted multiple hotels involved in our itinerary, and every one of them demonstrated professionalism and understanding by waiving cancellation fees given the circumstances--including other Marriott properties and the Ritz-Carlton. This property, however, took a completely different approach. I spoke with Samir in the reservations department. He refused to provide any refund. We went back and forth multiple times, and each time he introduced a new justification. At one point, he claimed the U.S. State Department had not advised against travel to the Persian Gulf and that any warning had expired on March 31. I provided evidence that there was no expiration date, yet he continued to deny the request. I also explained that other Marriott properties and Ritz-Carlton locations had already issued full refunds under the same circumstances. Despite this, he continued to refuse any accommodation. Only after I told him I would be leaving a review about my experience did he offer a future credit. That is not a practical solution when I have no certainty of returning to Morocco. I then requested that a manager follow up with me. No one ever did. Communication stopped entirely. This response reflects a lack of flexibility, accountability, and basic customer consideration--especially when compared to how other properties under the Marriott International brand handled the exact same situation. As a result, I had to absorb the financial loss and cancel the reservation. Based on this experience, I recommend considering alternative accommodations that demonstrate greater responsiveness and professionalism when dealing with legitimate, unforeseen global disruptions.

Bonus-it was clean!! The iPad system to control the room is clever: manage the thermostat, tv, blinds/shades and lights. It takes a minute for the iPad to connect (not sure if it's a wifi issue or that these iPads are an older model). Speaking of the thermostat, it kinda worked. I think it shuts off or scales back when there's no movement in the room. I had a hard time getting it cooled down to a good temperature, so I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked. The bed is very comfortable, though...and even with the small space, there are plenty of places to hang clothes and store items. Several outlets and USB charging stations available as well. There aren't any washcloths - just hand/body towels... and it's up to you if you want to have your room lightly cleaned or fully turned over. (See your iPad to make that option). There was only one elevator working, so it could take a few minutes to get your lift up or down. The staff that we engaged with were great. Check in and out were super easy. The lobby is pretty cool and hip. There's a small rooftop bar/lounge and a nice sized food/canteen area in the lobby. The location is outstanding. 50th just off 8th Ave...right in the heart of Times Square and walking distance to many other destinations. I would stay here in the future...2-3 nights is perfect. This spot is super centrally located, and during NYFW was an affordable, clean, and hip spot to stay for a few days. I am familiar with CitizenM as I have been to their hotel bars in their Miami locations, but had never stayed at one. I truly enjoyed my experience here. From check in to ordering wine or coffee at the bar, to the room, it was all lovely. I will say, the room is quite small. But truly, what do you need a big room for when you're going to be exploring NYC all day? The bed we got was a king, and dare I say it was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. The room is set up a bit like a studio, with two little closets which made it easy to organize and unpack, a small desk, and a vanity in the common area. The toilet and shower are together in what kind of looks like a spaceship capsule in the middle of the room. One cool thing is how high tech this hotel is - you have an ipad that controls everything in the room from the room temp, your blinds, to the TV, to connecting your devices to the TV to stream music, etc. In the lobby bar you can opt in for hotel breakfast buffet, but instead we would just grab coffees as we were getting ready. Grace at the bar was super friendly, as was all of the staff. My one area for improvement is the elevator. We received a notice that one of the three elevators was broken during our stay and every time we would get on the elevator it would take us multiple floors up before going down. Not the worst thing in the world, but just annoying if you're in a rush to get somewhere. If you are looking for an affordable, centrally located hotel to stay with a friendly staff this hotel is your spot. You have multiple subway stations within a 1-2 minute walk which can easily get you to any neighborhood you want to go during your stay. Would definitely return!

Prime location! Modern, spacious rooms (for the city)!…read more The elevators though.... Oy. I stayed at this hotel over the New Years holiday and was thrilled to be so close to Madison Square Garden and Times Square. As was expected, check in was a bit chaotic given the time of year. The ground floor entrance was PACKED with luggage on first arrival. After weaving our way through, we located the check-in desk on the 5th or 6th floor. Tons of people but adequate seating to wait for our room to be ready. An upper floor meant having to figure out their dreaded elevator system. It left something to be desired, to say the least. With only 3 elevators that service the whole of the hotel, and a 4th that goes who knows where, it was almost always a lengthy struggle to catch one. No buttons on the interior of the carriage, all elevators were called with a touchscreen device that seemingly tried to pack as many people as possible into one small space, leaving many behind that couldn't fit, before directing the passengers to another elevator to repeat the whole process over again. One day was so bad, it was actually preferable to walk up the stairs to the 14th floor. Woof. The room itself was wonderful. Spacious, with 2 beds. Very clean. Beautiful view of the city and the arena next door. Great way to catch the sun set. Walk in shower with both an overhead and handheld shower attachment. Great lighting. Shower had heavily frosted glass that faced the bedroom area so be prepared for your silhouette to be on full display for anyone you may be rooming with. Nice sized closet, safe, and mini fridge. Big flat screen television. Window shade worked very well to block out the light if you're hoping to sleep in late. Walls can be a bit thin, especially if you have a rowdy bunch of kids right next door as we did. Aside from the elevators, the perks far outweighed the usual peskier elements (e.g., noise, etc.) one encounters when staying away from home.
