Ascot Chang makes some of the finest men's shirts in the world. The prices are high (though…read moreprobably in line for custom shirts). But you'll probably end up wearing the Ascot Chang shirts more than anything else in your closet -- they fit perfectly. The price is worth it to me because I'd rather pay $100-something for a piece of clothing that fits just right and is exactly what I want (and that I wear all the time) rather than $60 for a shirt that is neither (and that I don't like wearing). When I was a poor student living in New York, I would occasionally walk by the Ascot Chang shop on 57th, and I remember thinking those shirts were just the most bespoke thing on earth. Now that I can afford the occasional splurge, I have to say that everything about Ascot Chang is as great is I imagined it would be. The service is old-worldly and wonderful. You can choose between literally hundreds of different fabrics, patterns, etc. They take so many measurements -- necessary because no one except maybe Denzel Washington is actually symmetrical. They even measure the size of my watch so that the left cuff can hang at the same length as my right. You choose from a dozen different collars, cuffs; you choose whether you want a pocket, whether you want a seam here or a pleat there -- it's actually amazing to see how the subtle differences affect the overall shirt. I first ordered my shirts at the shop in Hong Kong (the Prince Building shop, not the one at the Peninsula Hotel). Now, when I need more, I wait for my Hong Kong tailor to make his rounds twice a year in major US cities. He charges the Hong Kong price, which is about 20% less than the US shops, and the shirts are made by the same people using the same fabrics. If you email the Hong Kong store, you can find out when their tailors will be in your city.

He gave us the time and space to look, offered helpful guidance when we needed it, and made the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable. The combination of beautiful Italian clothing and genuine personal service really sets this store apart. I would absolutely recommend Bendini to anyone looking for an elegant, well-made suit and excellent service. We will definitely be returning!

I love this store!…read more First the lady that runs it makes you feel so welcomed. My son who is not a person who likes to dress up, needed his communion suit. We went in just to get an idea back in late February - pre pandemic. The owner take care of him and made him feel so comfortable. She was so friendly he insisted we buy a bomber jacket for him there. Of course he loves his bomber jacket! What 8 year old wouldn't. A number of moms have asked me about the jacked and I always direct them to Roberts. In February I planned to shop around for his Communion suit. When we left my son turned to me and said "I want to get my suit from there." Don't take me to more places I like her suits and I want to get it from this store. Surprised, I said "fine we'll come back in a week or two." Needless to say... the world shut down from the Coronavirus. His Communion was delayed until September. When we were notified of the new date in September my son turned to me and said are we going to Roberts? I need to get my suit, and I only want to go to that one store. He got his suit - he picked it out and felt so handsome in his navy-blue, Italian suit. He looked amazing but I'm bias. The two women in the store had masks on and handled my son who finds everything itching or restrictive perfectly. I can't say how much it meant for him to love what he picked out after living with so much uncertainty. Thank you thank you! His Communion day was a very special day. It was the first real celebration we have had. We have shopped at Roberts for Cub Scouting great as well.

In other words, they were expecting me to do they own job without even saying thank you or that they were sorry for the inconvenience they caused me. A rude unprofessional company who I will never buy from ever again.
