I hired them to (1) install a gas line - which ended up being 20 feet from the existing gas service in the basement (2) move a portion of a pipe 6 inches and (3) install a water line for my fridge. Per the estimate which in fairness I approved, the bill was $1,637. Todd and his assistant were at my house for 2.5 hrs. After seeing the work involved, I felt like the bill was really expensive. Todd told me to give him a call when I was ready to hook up water to the fridge and gas to the stove. My memory is that he said there would be no additional charge for hooking up the appliances. And in fairness to Todd, the estimate said line install and not hookup. When I was ready to have the appliances hooked up, Todd was responsive and got me on the calendar. Todd showed up and spent roughly 30 minutes hooking up the appliances and then presented me with a bill. I told him that I remembered him saying there wouldn't be additional charges and he said I was mistaken. I gave him my credit card and then was shocked when I looked at the bill after he left. He had charged me over $300 for 30 minutes of work. He had never indicated how much the charge was going to be. I assumed it would be much less. I then contacted him to ask if he would consider lowering the bill to $100 given that I had already paid him $1,600 and that it only took 30 minutes to do the work. He refused. Don't just take my word for it. Look at other reviews. There are several complaints of price gouging.

Starting with the bid process, Dimitri showed up on time, was respectful, and spent the time he needed to measure and clearly document the project. After the proposal was ready, he stopped by and went through every item in detail - the work breakdown for demolition, carpentry, plumbing, tile work, and other optional labor work. Everything was clearly spelled out, and Dmitri answered all of our questions. Our project lasted three weeks. He was on time every day - not a minute late. He would always spend a few minutes every morning going through his plan for the day, reviewing any change requests, and answering questions. The path to the work area was covered and taped with tarps; every single item that needed to be preserved was wrapped and taped with plastic. Entrances to the nearby bedrooms were covered (and the plastic was removed at the end of each day). The mirror and the vanity in the bathroom were properly protected. We were very impressed with his attention to detail. The quality of Dimitri's work was superb. As he was laying down the tiles, he took the time to make sure no tiles with repeating patterns were next to each other, and made sure the tiles were from the same lot. He inspected the new bathtub for defects. He was very conscious about how the project work would inconvenience us (we are all working from home) and he made sure we had plenty of advance notice before the water needed to be shut off for plumbing work. As part of the project, he also took hundreds of pictures to document the process. I called countryside as they were who I trusted to install the hot water heater. I spoke with some gal and explained to her that we are smelling gas from the hot water tank she said ok put me on hold for 10min.... She comes back to say that they can't send anyone out til Monday I told her that was BS and that it's a gas leak they can send someone now. She then sends me to Mike I then explain to him the same thing and that it's bullshit to have to wait til Monday for a gas leak he then laughs at me and says if I swear again he is going to end the call I ended up getting furious with him said some words and ended the call for him hey Mike what if this was your home with children you gonna wait til Monday POS So I reached out to another company who will be here in 30 minutes not days I do not recommend this company they over charge for everything and there customer service is shit you mean a lot to them until the sale is done not the way you do business Update Xcel came out and for your company's information I have had a gas leak at the water heater control valve for almost a year now thank you for your quality install and putting my family at risk we are now done with this company we don't take playing with our lives lightly They say a faulty part from manufacture or could it have been one to many turns at the time of install and was cracked And coincidentally my wife's business had same issue we tried this business several times and now we're moving on I appreciate the phone call though trying to get me to remove my review but maybe if you guys didn't treat a gas leak as a laughing matter I would been a little easier
