I contacted Plugz Electric for a relatively small, specific repair involving our electrical meter/socket. Instead of focusing on the repair I was asking about, Dusty quickly began trying to sell us on what was presented as roughly a $20,000 whole-home electrical project. That was an enormous escalation from the issue we actually needed addressed. What concerned me most was how quickly the conversation went from "How do we fix this specific problem?" to a massive and extremely expensive electrical overhaul. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone dealing with Plugz Electric get a second or even third opinion before agreeing to any major work they recommend. We ultimately had another electrician evaluate the situation, and the experience was night and day. When someone is dealing with an electrical issue especially when their power is off they are already in an incredibly vulnerable and stressful position. That is exactly when you need an electrician you feel you can trust to clearly explain what is actually necessary, what is optional, and why. I did not feel that way whatsoever with Plugz Electric. I would not hire this company again, and I would not recommend them to friends or family. Get another opinion before spending thousands of dollars based on their recommendation.

Made the huge mistake of hiring Mike for doing the electrical work in a couple of houses. He does not know what he is doing nor does he know how to operate a business. He has no crew to help him on any of his jobs, and hardly shows up when needed (electrical inspections, construction team meetings, etc). When communicating with him, nothing but arrogance and attitude. Mike gives no service to his customers. I talked to a few other people that have had him do work, and they all say the same thing. Once he is paid, he will ignore you and will not fix his mistakes. Other people on the job had to go out of their way to fix the electrical issues on site. He provides only the bare minimum in his materials and finishings, buying the cheapest material just to get by in order to get his next paycheck. We had several issues with the quality of his workmanship, including having appliances that would repeatedly trip random outlets around the house, fixtures randomly falling from poor installation, and lights that would last not even a month before requiring repair. I would ask him countless times to fix things, and he would just come up with excuse after excuse for not fixing, or just ignore it all together. Quality of work and service is overall mediocre. On top of what's mentioned above, the biggest issue with Mike is that he only cares about money and nothing else! He always wants to get paid well before the job is complete. When you ask him about the job and when something will be done, he will always ask for pay first and think about how he is going to get money before anything else. And when he finally is paid, it will take him a really long time to respond or come back to do the rest of the work, if at all. He only cares about getting money and nothing else. S&S electric should not be in business. Mike doesn't know how to provide customers with service, work is the lowest quality I have ever seen, and keeps demanding money. His electrical license should be revoked!

After numerous visits from Neighborhood Plumbing and Heating it still continued to cause a problem with shutting off and not starting. I talked with a friend who recommended a HVAC professional who came out and told me my flame sensor was causing the issue. It continually builds up carbon and needs to be cleaned every year. If I would have known this to be the case I would never have purchased this type of furnace. Every year someone needs to make a visit to clean my flame sensor. The cost from Neighborhood would be a typical service call of $100 !! This should have been mentioned at the time of the sale and not discovered after having purchased the unit. I would not recommend Neighborhood Plumbing and Heating they are not qualified professionals in their field. I recommend Mechanical Systems Inc. I am writing to share my experience with Neighborhood Heating, Cooling, and Electrical regarding…read moretwo equipment installations. First Project (Air Exchanger): Ten months ago, I hired them to install a new air exchanger. During the installation, I noticed a code flashing on the unit's display screen and asked the technician about it. I was told it was not important and that the system was ready. After two days of using the air exchanger, the unit was clearly not operating correctly. I read the manual and discovered the flashing code was critical for proper setup. I adjusted the settings myself to get the unit working right. Second Project (Heat Pump, Blower, & Thermostat): Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I later hired them to install a new heat pump, air blower, and thermostat. Once again, the installers did not verify the system's proper operation. By the next day, it was clear the ac unit was not cooling properly because it could not maintain the thermostat setpoint of 80 degrees. Later service visits determined the air blower was left only outputting 750 CFMs and the refrigerant was undercharged. After five follow-up visits that took place over the next month, the refrigerant level and air blower issues were corrected. Additional Issues: During one of the follow-up service calls, a technician switched two drain pumps to improve drainage on another of our HVAC units. However, they accidentally connected an input tube to an output port. This resulted in water being pumped directly into my boiler's exhaust pipe, a problem I discovered late at night and corrected myself. The technician had left the property without checking if the equipment was operating correctly. Summary: My primary concern with this company is a consistent pattern of technicians leaving jobs without testing or verifying that the equipment functions properly. I expected better quality control and thoroughness for professional HVAC installations.
