It seems the nurse's discretion overrides months of waiting for an appointment. There's no consideration, no flexibility, and no regard for patients' time. The good news? There are other dermatologists in Carson City who offer equally great care, treat you with more respect, and actually value you as a patient. I had difficulty finding a dermatologist specializing in Mohs Surgery that would take my health insurance. My insurance company was the one that referred me to Dr. Tack. I wasn't expecting an insurance company's referral to be spot on. I couldn't be happier with the care given to me by Dr. Tack. Not only does he take his time explaining any concerns/procedures, but his surgical skills are impeccable. I have had 3 procedures done by him. The first two had little scarring, the third was just done yesterday. I'm confident the last procedure's scarring will be minimal based on past procedures. And he said I cud come in and get it lasered for free. But it's so faint it doesn't seem worth the trouble. In addition to his skill, he just seems like the nicest man. I've worked in ski clinics that are cleaner. The provider misdiagnosed my son's skin bumps as warts and was ready to freeze dozens of spots. A second opinion found them to be caused by eczema and his skin was cleared completely with non invasive treatment. I've heard several horror stories of skin samples being tossed in the trash, instead of being sent for biopsy and the list goes on. It's so unfortunate that Tahoe doesn't have better dermatology care!
