My experience with Rowe chiropractic has been nothing short of amazing. I was scheduled to have a surgery on my neck, due to a bulging disc, creating numbness and tingling down my right arm. but at the last minute attempt at avoiding that and overhearing a conversation of a neighbor I decided to try Dr. Rowes office. In three months, I was out of pain and numbness, tingling in my arm was gone and I was then moved to a three month maintenance program. Currently I go once a week and rarely have neck pain. So I've been going to Rowe Chiropractic Offices for several months now and after receiving their adjustments and traction treatments twice weekly I immediately began seeing improvements with my sitting and walking posture. Just yesterday, I went to a weekly appointment and complained about my left hip and left knee being painfully sore for some unknown reason Dr. Rowe gave me an adjustment which specifically zoned in on my left hip and Dr. Khan did the adjustment which addressed the pain in my knee. I must truly say that I was amazed that I immediately felt releif after both adjustments before I left their office, and after walking and stretching out I felt absolutely no pain within the next hour. All I can say is that if you have joint pains in your spine, back or extremities you should surely seek a consolation and possibly try an adjustment from these fine Doctors. They have both helped me beyond any of my expectations of them. By the way, after a few months of treatment I was also shown before and after pictures of my posture screening, where they took pictures and measurements of my posture when I first began my treatments and how my standing posture changed within a few months. I was a new patient to Dr. Rowe via a promotion I saw. I was very disappointed when I came for my appointment and he nor his assistant were wearing masks while adjusting me. I understand this is a difficult strange time for us all but I have seen other chiropractors since the pandemic and they have all been wearing masks especially because how close they get to you. I started seeing Dr. Rowe 11 years ago for 3 years and then I stopped. I saw other chiropractors but my hip and my neck did not feel better. I went back last year and now feel so much better. Where do I start? Dr. David and his staff are superb. He is also a fabulous teacher, and is himself constantly learning. He is a gifted chiropractor. I have been coming to Rowe Chiropractic since the '90's, but only for relatively short periods of time; then it might be a year or more before I'd see him again! Regular yoga kept me aligned with only a routine maintenance check now and again. But I was much younger then! Cut to this trip: I pulled my low back out last Saturday; I was stuck on my hands and knees for 20 minutes, unable to move. Ice and tylenol didn't even make dent in the pain. After stretching, more ice & more tylenol, I was able to resume careful motion. Got an appointment for today. Dr. Rowe went straight to work, careful not to lay on the guilt about what I already know: I hadn't been doing my daily exercises and home traction over the last year (was it really that long ago?! Gawd, I am so undisciplined!) Four adjustments: pressure relieved! I scheduled another appointment for Friday. Time to start up my exercises again. If you are in the market for a Chiropractor that takes insurance then look the other way. Upon meeting with the doctor initially I was told they would submit my visits to the insurance company. I have paid him over $6,000 dollars and haven't seen a penny back from my insurance company. I would also like to point out that the insurance company has repeatedly sent me letters stating that he didn't submit the proper documents. Their are plenty of chiropractors in New York City that operate on a co pay system and properly submit your visits to the insurance company. The doctor spends a lot of time trying to sell you a care plan to treat your condition. The so called care plans are not recognized by insurance companies at all. I had scoliosis and he told me from reviewing the x rays that it was a "buckle" in my spinal cord. He then tried to sign me up for another 3 month care plan so he could "UN buckle it". My current chiropractor laughed when i informed him that the doctor was trying to "un buckle" the scoliosis. its impossible to correct. its the doctors way of keeping you on for a few more months. They also spend a lot of time trying to sell you their special water and after their informational mandatory slide show on the first visit they make you submit the contact information for all your friends and family that could benefit from their service. They sell hard and i am sure you have seen their booths setup at various locations in manhattan. read more

I had a very similar experience to Jason C. I moved here from Florida where I was getting regular treatments from another gonsted chiropractor. So I knew what I was in for, or so I thought! They just started racking up the bills, taking all kinds of X-rays, made me sit through a scripted session with a dr in training before meeting with the actual chiropractor, kept pressuring me to bring my husband with me to discuss the treatment plans, etc. It all made me feel really uncomfortable. They were out of network on my insurance and I had to pay upfront around $600 for 2-3 visits + xrays. They said they would file a claim to my insurance as a courtesy. I asked them if the insurance would pay me the reimbursement check since I had already paid in full. They said yes. Well I work for the insurance company and come to find out they checked the box to have the reimbursement sent to the office! So a month later and the office finally reimbursed me by check. Such a hassle and clearly they didn't know how to even file a claim correctly. This is a private practice that is not insurance friendly and honestly you are probably getting over treated here because they are all amount the money they make off you. Granted it is a nice facility with state of the art digital X-rays but it's not worth it to me when I know I can get better care and more affordable else where. Last time I go out of network. P.S. You should know they had a poster in the dressing room allowing their patients to enter a drawing if they do a yelp or Facebook review... Hmmmmm makes you wonder doesn't it? read more

This is actually about a so called "interview" I was suppose to have with them. When I got there at 7pm last Friday the candidates were taught a class for 1 hour which I didn't care about at all. I just wanted my interview and to get out. After the class was over the doctor couldn't interview everyone (there were only 5 people) so he RANDOMLY chooses 3 and told me he would contact this other girl and I within 24 hours. I never heard back from them. I called today and they told me the position have been filled. What a waste of my time and money. I've been seeing chiropractors regularly for the last 10 years in midtown and was looking for someone closer to home. I made the big mistake of giving this practice a call. The first question I asked over the phone is whether they accepted my insurance. The girl took down my insurance information and said she'll find out. She told me they have an appointment in an hour and I can come by for a consult. I asked if I would be able to get an adjustment after the consult and if my insurance situation would be sorted out by then. She wouldn't give me a straight answer. I come in for my appointment and fill out lots paperwork with lots personal questions. The girl from the phone took me to a room where I was told to put a gown on, I then met with Gary Arbuckle for more questioning. He stepped out of the room for 15 min to adjust someone else then came back and said no insurance accepts them - not mine, not any. It'll be 300-something for XRays another 100-something for something else, $85 a pop for an adjustment. I said "No, thank you" because I didn't appreciate the bait-and-switch then had to deal with the hard sell. The girl on the phone should have been straightforward with me and saved me from wasting an hour of my time. They may work miracles (hey, I'm a big fan of chiropractics and the importance of anatomy and alignment) but I refuse to step foot back in there because of their shady selling practices.
