I have had great experiences with the Chicago Rowan, so I was pleased to have another great experience at the Rowan here in Fort Worth. I was a walk-in and appreciated that I was able to get a piercing without much of a wait. There is a wide variety of jewellery available to suit every taste and budget. There is a separate piercing fee, but it is reasonable. Nurse Bethany did my piercing and she was great. She was very kind, professional, and efficient. She patiently helped me decide on the perfect placement for my new piercing. The piercing itself was quick and not as painful as I was expecting. When I started to feel a little woozy after my piercing, she was quick to help and did not make me feel bad or embarrassed. Check out was super quick and I left with clear aftercare instructions. I can come back in about a month to have my piercing checked out and downsized. Overall, they did a great job on my daughter's 3rd piercing. My biggest complaint is the pricing. Just be advised. We can see paying the higher price for the earrings (start at $50) and the quality service (charged separately), but when the cleaning solution is an extra $20 (wasn't asked-just added) and not included in the service fee ($50), we were a bit surprised. Leaving a tip on top of this expense was a bit much. Paying approximately $150 for a lobe piercing is a bit much, even if nurses are doing the piercing. The location and staff were great, but I'm not sure we will be returning because of the additional fees. read more

My daughter had her second hole pierced in May. During that appointment, we were told her first holes were uneven and advised to let one of them close. We came back to get that hole repierced, and 2 weeks later, we noticed that piercing was again crooked. The nurse never asked me to check the hole before piercing. We went back in today for 2 reasons, the first being the crooked piercing and wanting to get it fixed. The second being that she had lost an earring for the second time. The front kept popping out and we still had the back. We had been told that they would replace lost earrings within 30 days but they refused to this time. The manager was rude and basically told me there was nothing he could do and that it was my fault for not checking the piercing spot before they pierced my daughter's ears. With how much money I've spent on piercings, earrings and then the shortening of the earrings on top of the trauma that comes from piercing and repiercing a child's ears because the nurse couldn't ensure they were even, I would have expected better treatment and I'm truly disappointed in the lack of professionalism. If you are getting your ears pierced definitely consider this place. It's run by registered nurses and the place is extremely sanitary. Their jewelry is all hypoallergenic and they have very specific instructions for cleaning and after care of your piercings. I don't know what's gotten into me, but I think I like her. She makes spur of the moment decisions, she's hip, so cute and doesn't look like she's about to be 50! So I found Rowan passing by a Sprinkles cupcake station. So I looked on my phone and found out that it was a piercing studio. I was suddenly intrigued and intrigued enough to make an appointment at the Fort Worth location in the University area, which is quite busy. After seeing examples of all the piercings, I could get, I decided to re-open my second hole and add a third and fourth to one of my ears. I completely love it and you cannot tell me that I do not look amazing with my new earrings. I'm not sure what my mother would think if she was still here, but I think she might like it because the earrings they make these days are flatter and less obtrusive than they did when you had to go to places in the mall. I'm actually thinking I might end up with another one or two piercings in the other ear. Who knows? A friend and I made a walk-in appointment recently for us both to get a second hole piercing. The store was nice and employees quickly gave us the directions we needed and answered any questions. We both got lower lobe piercings on each ear with a needle so we could get the flat back option. It did seem odd that if done by needle, piercings were sold separately. During, the piercer gave instructions on cleaning which was appreciated, but then when we went to check out, we were informed the cleaning solution was an additional $20. We would have thought any piercing would have come with at least a "miniature" solution automatically. In the end, my total came out to $250 and my friend's nearly $400. Both seem astronomically high for a basic, second lobe piercing but it was already too late. read more

Where to even start. Made an appointment a week out with the "nurse" because I didn't want to use a gun. Show up and there is only the apprentice using the gun. No phone call to let me know it had changed. The girl behind the counter didn't apologize once or offer to reschedule. She also let me know that it would $50 per ear, not the $35/$39 advertised online. And I would have to pick their earrings to purchase and the cheapest ones were around $50-60. Super unprofessional. If I wanted a gun used I would have gone to Claire's. Do yourself a favor and find a tattoo shop. read more

The piercing process went great, however the earrings used were far too small and caused many issues, extreme discomfort for 4 days and extreme swelling. Just spent over $150 for my daughter to get her ears pierced, only to be told that I had to go across the street or to the other side of the shopping center when I asked where there restroom was. I made the comment that it must be awful to work somewhere and have to leave to use the bathroom, and she told me they have one, they just don't let people use it. Not even paying customers. I've been here a few times to get earring changed for my daughter (who is immunocompromised) so they're not healing very quickly. I came in today bc the back fell off and Crystal gave us a new back and was so patient and sweet to my daughter who was losing her mind bc they really hurt her! Not customer friendly! I was with my girlfriend at their store; she was getting her ears pierced. I asked if I could use the restroom and their response was "we don't have one. You have to go to the store across the street. I find it hard to believe that there store doesn't have a restroom. The location is in ft worth, the river run store. read more

Let me start by saying my initial visit was great. The nurse was very helpful and was very patient with me when picking my piercing placement. Fast forward to my downsizing appointment. I mentioned to the rude lady that I was there for a downsizing but that I probably wouldn't be able to get one due to how my ear is looking. She glanced at it and immediately said no. I figured it was a no anyways which is why I mentioned it but I had plans on getting another area pierced. I asked her if she could look at my piercing again due to it being raised. I figured since they are "CERTIFIED NURSES", she would look over it and give some advice. She said "yeah , it's raised due to lack of proper care. Keep in mind, she never asked how my care was just assuming I'm ignoring all the procedures I guess. She then proceeded to say "DONT SLEEP ON IT, DONT PLAY WITH IT and a bunch of other don't as if I was a child. She also proceeded to say even though its past your 30 day period doesn't mean it time for a downsized. I could have been rude to her back and said girl, didn't I just tell you I probably wouldn't be able to get it downsized. I KNEW that from the jumped but was still going to get another piercing there! SMH! I walked out the store and returned to ask for the nurse that I originally had. IF I choose to go back I will definitely try to get the nurse I originally had because the woman I encountered today should not touch anyone! I really hope that grumpy cat isn't piercing children. I wasn't upset at the fact that I couldn't downsize because I expected that ,but her attitude was absolutely awful. She was definitely a grinch. Do better Rowan. read more
