I had a very disappointing experience with this tattoo artist. The line work was uneven, the design didn't match what we discussed, and the artist seemed rushed and uninterested the entire time. When I pointed out concerns, they were brushed off instead of addressed. Tattoos are permanent, and this experience did not reflect the level of care or professionalism I expected. Update- finally got a response here after almost two weeks. Not at all helpful. Didn't address the issues. I do not need a touch up as this tattoo looks terrible and will need to be removed. I was sent to an artist (Trey) when he was at a different shop for a half sleeve. He did amazing work and I followed him to Epic to do a full sleeve on my other arm. Trey did an amazing job again but, this isnt a review for him as his work speaks for itself. This is a review of an awesome tattoo shop. From the moment I stepped into Epic, I was treated like family by everyone there. I spent over 30 hours there over the course of about 3-4 weeks so I got to interact with the whole staff an every last one of them rocks. To hear these artists talk "shop" amongst themselves is an education in art appreciation that you cant get anywhere else. These guys are passionate about what they do and it shows. I have overheard them meeting with potential clients about custom pieces that have sentimental value. After that client leaves, a mini brainstorming session ensues where these folks collaborate to come up with a completely unique and artistically sound piece that captures the emotion that inspired the client to walk through their door. Came here because I thought I got my bellybutton pierced here (turns out this was not the original place But that's a different story for a different time lol). I had my belly Piercing for about six months but the healing process was just taking a little longer than usual and I wanted to see a piercer for what I thought was an infection. Ivan was quick to assess my situation and let me know that it wasn't an infection but was just healing. Would not recommend this place to absolutely anyone. The dude (Luis) scheduled an appointment at 8:30 when they close at 10. He was obviously in a rush to finish and didn't want to be there working on my tattoo. First he tried to up-charge me. At the consultation he told me it would be $300 with a $60 deposit that was non-refundable. At the actual appointment he upped it to $400 with no notice. Upon getting back there he tried to talk me out of my original design. He was negative the entire time complaining and whining the entire time while working. Then once he started working he pressed HARD into my arm causing a lot of bleeding during the session and bruising in the days following the session. I have 4 tattoos and have never bruised like this one. He didn't even finish the tattoo and tried to keep the money I paid him even though he didn't finish. I had to tell him I paid him for the whole thing and he didn't finish, then he offered to give me $100 back. I took my $100 and left. I'll get my tattoo finished and touched up somewhere else. This place is not worth the time, money, or energy. Go find someone else at a better studio with a better attitude with actual professionalism. read more
