I had a positive experience at this Rowan location. My piercing was done at another location (out of state), but I was having trouble getting my initial earrings out, so I scheduled a "post change" appointment online and headed over. I walked in, glanced around, and ended up selecting some new earrings to change out my inital ones with. Ty (sp?) helped me out. She had a special tool to remove the bell shaped backings from my initial piercing (which made me feel better that I couldn't get them out on my own). It was seamless and didn't hurt at all. I would not recommend this place. My daughter paid $170 to have my granddaughter's ears pierced because we were told the earrings were high quality and had locking backs designed to stay securely in place. Within just a few months, one of the earrings had fallen out, even though they had never been removed or changed since the piercing. When we contacted the company, they refused to stand behind their product or offer a satisfactory solution. Had we known the earrings would not remain secure on a toddler and that the company would not support its own product, we never would have paid such a premium price. We are Rowan girls through and through. My daughter had her ears pierced as a baby, but after one of her earrings got caught on her pillow as a toddler and tore out, she swore she would never get her ears pierced again. Fast forward to age 11, she walked into Rowan, fell in love with the adorable space, and decided not only to get her ears re-pierced, but to get her doubles too. Apparently, like her mama, we don't do just one piercing. The nurses are amazing, and the staff is always so warm and friendly. They make the entire experience feel fun, safe, and special. After spending an unexpected week in the hospital and having to remove all of my jewelry for multiple MRIs, I was so grateful for Rowan's incredible policy. If you need to remove your jewelry within 30 days, they'll reinsert it or re-pierce if needed at no extra charge. My best Mother's Day surprise was my husband gifting me a hidden helix after such a tough week. It was the perfect bright spot to end a hard season. Good spot but expensive. At Rowan, they only have nurses do the piercings. I'm not sure if that really matters but it is nice to know a health professional is there in case something bad happens.... My 8 year old and I stopped into Rowan as a walk in. The place is cute and all the earrings are displayed as well as pricing info. There are two chairs in the back for the piercings. We were greeted by the girl up front when we walked in and asked if we had an appt. She said there were two appts scheduled ahead of us and asked us to go online to make an appt. I thought that was odd but no biggie. I asked the girl up front if the nurse could use the needle to pierce my daughter's ears instead of the gun since you can choose. I heard the needle is less damaging and painful than the gun so I wanted my daughter to have a good experience. The girl said sure but the nurse will check to make sure her lobes were compatible with the needle piercing. Nurse Naomi was nice and explained to my daughter what she was going to do. She did the whole sterilization and marker dotting for the piercing placement. Then she whipped out the gun and did a countdown. I was surprised to see the gun bc I asked for the needle piercing. But it was too late for me to say anything. At least it went well, my daughter said it was burning at first but it went away. Two days later, her piercings are doing well with no infections or irritations. So I don't know what the going rate is with kid ear piercings but wow this is pricey. It cost more than my own ear piercings. $50 for the two piecings, $60 for the little pink flower earrings, $20 for the cleaner ( you can get something cheaper for under $10 from Walgreens, $10.79 for tax and tip. Jess is an amazing piercer! I brought my five year old in on her birthday for her first lobe piercing and Jess was so careful and kind! She explained everything very well along the way so we all knew what to expect. Now, Emma truly went above and beyond in a way I've never experienced before. My 6 year old son has ADHD and is very impulsive. I genuinely regret ever walking into Rowan, and I'm writing this so that nobody else has to go through what I did. If you're thinking of getting your ears pierced here -- don't. Just don't. I got my ears pierced at the SanTan Village Rowan location on July 12th, 2025, and I expected a clean, professional, and safe experience. That's literally their entire brand -- "piercing with care," claiming to be gentle, medically supervised, and perfect for sensitive ears. That is NOT what I got. Everything seemed fine at first, but after a couple weeks, my ear became painfully swollen -- I'm talking visibly inflamed, uncomfortable to the touch, and so sensitive that sleeping on that side was out of the question. Then came the pus and blood, and not just a little. It was bad enough that I felt scared. I take care of myself, followed all aftercare steps to a T, and still ended up with what looked like a full-on infection. So I did the responsible thing -- I went back. That's when they gave me a longer post, supposedly to give my ear more space. But that didn't help either. The new post was obnoxiously long, stuck out awkwardly, and made everything feel worse, not better. The piercing was clearly not doing well, and their "solution" felt like a band-aid on a much bigger problem. But honestly? The worst part wasn't even the physical pain. It was how I was treated when I reached out for help. I called Rowan and spoke with a nurse named Priscilla, and I have NEVER experienced such cold, rude, and unprofessional behavior from someone in a "care" role. I was literally calling in pain and distress, and she made me feel like I was an inconvenience -- like I was bothering her. No empathy, no reassurance, not even basic kindness. Just attitude and dismissiveness. She talked over me, brushed off my concerns, and made me feel like my reaction wasn't valid -- even though there was blood and pus coming out of my ear. The combination of physical discomfort and emotional disregard made this entire experience feel traumatic. I walked into Rowan trusting their brand, their process, and their people -- and I walked away hurt, dismissed, and deeply disappointed. They make a LOT of noise online about being "different" from mall piercers. But at least at the mall, you know what to expect. Rowan pretends to be something better -- medical-grade, clean, ethical -- and they are NOT living up to that promise. Let's be honest: this company is focused on image over actual care. Once you hand over your money, the customer service goes downhill fast. There is no follow-through. No ownership. No genuine concern for what you're going through once they've already pierced you. If you're considering Rowan for yourself, your child, or a friend -- please don't make the same mistake I did. I would never recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I'd actively warn people to stay away. You deserve better. Your body deserves better. Your health, your comfort, and your peace of mind deserve better. My daughter was excited for her second ear piercing but it turned out to be worst experience . They advertise to much employ professional nurses and I was happy to pay little more for this reason . First it was way off from where it was supposed to be and plus in two weeks it got infected. I will also in both ears. They used long earring backs so it irritated so much. We already felt comfortable that Rowan offered device and needle options and they are done by nurse practitioners (it's psychology, but big reason why I chose this business). I brought my 4 month old daughter to get her ears pierced and didn't have the best experience. Upon entry, I didn't feel very welcomed. They pierced my daughter's ears and it was WAY out of place. I left and I wasn't happy with the work. I went back in and I was freshly post partum so I was crying because I was upset and the nurse that pierced her ears did not apologize once and she was laughing in the back while I was crying to the other nurse who was also pretty rude but more understanding. She they told me to come back the next day to fix it. They re-pierced it the next day and refunded me which I appreciate. But for nurses, you would think they would be more compassionate...they were pretty rude. & on top of that, they double charged me. My daughter is 11 months today, and they're still WAY OFF. Overpriced, no transparency on the cost of earrings or service, they ask for a tip on the entire bill not the service, they require you to have a long post on helix earrings then charge you $25 when you have to come and get a shorter post and don't tell you until you are already pierced, they didn't explain the aftercare until you were pierced and they charge $20 for an aftercare spray that is literally saline solution, and to get in you need to set an appointment even if it's a walk in. read more

I have been to this location twice now, and both times I have been incredibly frustrated by how the front desk has approached our appointments. The first time we were there, she was offering little to no guidance, even though I was asking lots of questions about which options both of my daughters would have. The nurses that pierced my daughter's ears were wonderful, and said that we could come back anytime and that the nurses would change out the girls earrings for them. I stopped in today to have them change my earring, as well as my daughters, and the front desk woman basically shut me down and told me I should just do everything at home. I've seen so many ads for it, and it looked so cute inside! My little sister was so excited to get her ears pierced for her birthday, and unfortunately I told her to try this place. When we walked in, instead of welcoming us with a smile or greeting, the front desk girl said "do you have an appointment" in a rude and annoyed way (mind you, the front door says walk ins welcomed -- and there was no one in the store) -- so we said we didn't have an appointment yet, and she said "you can look online if we have anything else open today" all of this was said while walking away from us; she didn't smile once while engaging with us. Disappointed I have to write this because I've been to many Rowan's in Cali, Texas, Chicago. It's where I normally get pierced even the one at the quarter is really good. I came here to buy new jewelry and get it changed. It took her at least 15 minutes to change a piercing I had for over 2 years I started bleeding really bad. Also I think the hoop she chose is too small. Needless to say Ive had the new jewelry almost a year (in August) and it's still so infected. My friend and I walked in each for a cartilage piercing and we were directed to be with one piercer. She helped us for about 5 minutes and walked away to help everyone else, she talked with a customer for 15 minutes and then proceeded to talk to another while we were still waiting for her to set up her station to pierce our ears. This was frustrating because the second employee was a lot quicker and seemed to be on top of things. Throughout getting pierced she stepped away multiple times and was very distracted piercing me as well as my friend. I do already have another cartilage piercing which never got infected or bled but when she pierced my ear I bled a very substantial amount and I now have swollen lymph nodes due to the infection from the piercing which I clean daily. read more
