Back in February my friend and I went to get our second earlobe holes pierced. We opted for the "gold" earrings that were pricier so they'll heal better. As the nurse was in the process of piercing us, she let us know that what was gold is actually only the little ball, NOT the earring post. I mean at that point we already committed so we said okay I guess and hoped for the best. Kind of crazy that they charge so much for "gold" earrings ($78 each) when it's not even gold in the most important part. (219 total dollars spent here) Fast forward 3 months, and these piercings DO NOT heal for both me and my friend. Neither ear. And yes, we clean them twice a day with sterile fluid everyday. I went to a different piercing place last year to pierce my helix (that's cartilage, not even lobe like this time) and it healed 100x faster and correctly. Because they use quality earrings! I finally gave up and ordered actual gold earrings from Etsy ($50 each earring fully gold). Not worth the money at all here unfortunately. Disappointed! read more

I'm pretty disappointed in my experience with rowan. Background, I have a lot of piercings, around 14 before this appointment. I went in for a walk in and had some piercings in mind but wasn't 100% sure and wanted to work with a piercer for final say. The front desk lady was super nice, I was wanting a contra conch placement and asked her about it as I know Rowen only offers limited piercing options. She told me the placement I wanted could be done and would be considered a flat. I was stoked and decided jewelry and placement, and for my other ear I decided a helix, that would kinda be tucked away with a dangly chain. When it was time for my appointment my piercer was pretty hostile as I kindly explained what I was looking. She had never heard of a contra conch and she said we couldn't do the placement I wanted because it wouldn't heal, even though the contra conch is a pretty routine piercing at piercing shops. I asked her to move inwards and she got frustrated asking me again where so I responded medial but she refused to move the original placement or kindly explain why. For my helix on the other side I wasn't exactly informed that it was going to be basically a vertical helix and that's also something I would have changed because I feel like it limits a lot of jewelry options. Finally, the piercer failed to bring up downsizing until I had to ask, well after my appointment, after my friend had gotten her piercing. I understand the whole licensed nurses thing that rowan has going on but I feel like it's far safer to go to a reputable and educated piercer as they are far more knowledgeable about all piercings not only the select like 8 that rowan offers. Save your money, don't fall for the marketing and go to a reputable piercer! read more

The store is nice and the piercing was fine, we just did it today, so can't speak for the future. It was expensive. And then I was so disappointed at the end when the tablet was turned to me also asking for a tip. I think for the price they shouldn't be asking for a tip on top of that. I spent over $500 on me and my daughter's piercing, how much more do they want me to spend. Seems a little much and left a bad feeling. read more

The studio is very nice. We were greeted rather promptly. The nurse that helped me was very friendly. I was advised that one of the piercings I wanted was not available at this location due to lack of training. I was not aware of that when booking my appointment there was no notice of this location not having full access to all piercings from the website. I did get my lobes pierced and was disappointed at the cost per piercing although the same needle was used for each piercing. I admit I should've done more research so this is all on me but this service is pricey in my opinion and I was reading the care card and to come back for the shorter post it's another $50 fee. That is a bit much. Again all on me but I am writing this review so other prospect clients do their research first so they don't have sticker shock like I did. Dear Ben, Yesterday was my daughters 17th birthday. We didn't make any big birthday plans but went she asked to get a helix piercing. I was happy to oblige and so we headed down to the Grove where she, her sister and many friends have gotten their piercings in the past. Unfortunately we weren't aware of the new Florida law requiring a signed and notarized consent form. To add to the disappointment, yesterday was a holiday so the bank across the street was closed. Of course I really wanted to fulfill my daughter's only birthday wish so I got to work to find a notary nearby. I was thrilled to learn that FedEx has partnered with NOTARIZE.com and they offer a legal and legitimate online notary service.   It was no small task. I had to upload the document, upload my id front and back, complete the id.me verification process,  have a realtime zoom meeting with the official notary, so that he could see my face, witness my signature, raise my right hand, swear it all to be true..., etc. etc. etc. and after all of that and  a $25 payment I had that notarized document. But unfortunately I didn't have a printer and I needed that piece of paper. So it was all for not. But today after my long work day, I raced home, picked her up and came to the store with my ID, and the paper in hand, a legally notarized FL consent form only to be told that Vanessa Joseph wasn't comfortable accepting it. I am disgusted by the ignorance. I am not usually a complainer, I don't want waiters spitting in my food, and I don't want an idiot piercing my daughter's ear. But recognizing the fact that we will NEVER return to Rowan I'm sending this to you. For the sake of others you should educate your staff and know the legality of a legitimately notarized document. This is a review written by my 10 year old: Ok so I have wanted to get my ears pierced for YEARS literally since I was 3 or 4 and I'm 10 now. So my mom looked up good places to go to that has professionals and found Rowan and omg it's so good!!!! So lemme tell you about this amazing place!! Ok so first the girls or boys who piece your ear are licensed nurses and they're so caring and kind I can't believe we found this place. Second thing is they tell you what to do after like how long it takes to heal and stuff but my favorite part is the spray- so they give you this little bottle and it's a cleanser it really helps your fresh piercing feel better. We love that they're so kind and clean for sure another thing we love is how they explain everything we need to do to take care of my ears it's such a nice place I even tell girls who wanna get they're ears pierced about Rowan! Another thing I forgot to mention is they give you a little bag and it has the spray and a little booklet about the aftercare and it explains so much! Anyways I really do recommend this place. /10 recommend!!!!! read more

We had such a wonderful experience at Rowan! We brought our 3-month-old daughter to get her ears pierced, and every single person on the staff was so incredibly sweet and kind. From helping us check in and make the appointment, to guiding us through picking the perfect earrings, they made everything feel so easy and comforting. The nurse was amazing--she had so much patience making sure our baby's ears were perfectly even and symmetrical, even with all her little wiggles. Came in on a Friday afternoon to get one helix piercing. I made an appointment to make sure I had enough time for it. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The selection of earrings is limited and a bit pricey but I liked the idea of having a nurse taking care of my piercing. The prices range from $69 to $400 per earring in addition to $35 for the service. Also, I was surprised that the after care spray is $20 for. 3 oz bottle. In addition, tip is also another expenae. So it can get pricey very fast. The piercing experience was great. I selected the earring and took her professional advice on how and where to place it. I was very nervous but she was very calm and helpful. She made the process easier by having a good technique. It didn't hurt much just the obvious for a piercing. She explained the after care process carefully but didn't tell me the price of the spray. Anyway, I got it to be able to follow the process. The only thing that was not good and took away from the experience was the wait. Even though I had an appointment, I ended up waiting for 2 other people to do their piercings before me. It was about a 45 minutes wait and I didn't have much time available on that day so that's the reason I made the appointment. They need to fix the appointment times by allowing more time for each client and be able to manage the time for the walk-in customer. I don't know if the other 2 ladies had appointments at my same time but regardless it was too long of a wait. Hopefully, they can fix that issue ASAP. read more

Excellent service. Took my daughter to get her ears pierced today. She has been asking to get her ears pierced for sometime. However, she is extremely fearful of any kind of pain. I was not confident she would go through with it. She wouldn't have if not for Ashley and Alana. They were patient, kind and knowledgeable. Thank you so much ladies. Soooo!! We had originally set up appointments for piercings at the New age piercing place in Miami in the grove . And It was super disappointing! So we starting looking for another piercing shop and I saw Rowan !! I was so happy I follow them on instagram so we decided to go! And as soon as my sisters and I walked in they took us all in and we made appointments right there and they explained step by step instructions.. the nurse Valenssa was amazing beautiful funny just made us three feel so welcomed.. I recommend this beautiful shop 100!!! To anybody at any age.. very compassionate to all customers and the whole staff were so delightful! Thank you! We will be returning! My experience with Rowan was disappointing. I spent well over $200 (now that I have to redo everything, it will be around $400 + time + healing again) , waited for the appointment, followed all aftercare instructions, and went through weeks of healing--only for the stud to fall out within two months. I was never told this could happen or how to prevent it. read more

I took my 6-month-old baby girl to get her ears pierced. The staff was very kind and showed me which earrings she was allowed to get. They asked me to sit in a chair, and everything was clean and sanitized beforehand. The ladies were calm when they pierced her ears. I also felt calm. My baby cried for only a little while, but I was able to calm her down by giving her milk. I would go back. read more

I came here two months ago for my baby girls ear piercings once she turned 3months old :') her ears have healed beautifully without any issues. I had mixed feelings because she was so tiny at the time but everyone kept telling me the younger the better so that she wouldn't mess with them as they healed. After doing my research I ended up going with this place. When we arrived we were pleased with how everything was laid out for us to see. All the jewelry was in display boxes and there were little signs with info. Once it was my daughters turn the piercer made sure to make us feel at ease. All the piercers are RNs!! We were assisted by Adriana. She explained what she was going to do and had my boyfriend sit in the chair while he held our baby. The piercing device is not a typical "piercing gun". It sort of looks like it.. but different. After she dotted my daughters ears and let me look at them to see if I liked the placement, we gave her the ok and she quickly pierced both her lobes back to back. I'm not gonna lie my baby cried :( but I was able to breast feed her right away and she calmed down quickly. We went with the Diamond studs (sooooooo sparkly&dainty) we haddddd to spoil our girl. Adriana gave our precious Princess a little certificate of bravery which was sweet for a little keepsake. She told her how beautiful she was and made her smile. The nurse who pierced was fantastic 5 stars for her BUT the manager was so rude it made the entire experience very uncomfortable. If it wasn't t that we were there in a group of 5 I would have left. The manager was not kind, didn't let us try on earrings, didn't let us touch anything and when we did she called us out on it. "Don't touch that" or "if you do that I freak out". Her tone was demeaning and was consistently watching over us. I would not recommend this place. read more

You are never going to get the same opinion on a Yelp review for a piercing place since everyone's experience will always be different. But how much a place tries to make it an amazing experience is what the place stand out! I had always been so afraid of needles my whole life, so getting a third piercing seemed terrifying. The staff member who pierced my ears was so kind and careful that it made everything so much easier. I came back today to get my fifth piercing and it went amazing! Although this place is on the more expensive side, it is definitely worth it since you can be sure that it's worth your money. :) read more
