The price was great. $45 dollars for a nostril piercing with good quality jewelry. Yoshi was really nice and never pressured me to commit and do it tonight. The piercing process was quick and she made it as painless as possible. All jewelry and piercing equipment was sterilized and orderly. After my partner witnessed how the process went he was convinced to pierce his nipples. Despite being such a painful piercing he is happy with the results. Once again Yoshi's attitude was very reassuring and calm. She never pressured him and at one point even suggested he not get them if he wasn't ready. He ended up getting them. In the end I would go back. I suggest this place. You wont regret it! ask for Yoshi!

The original design of my son's tattoo was...let's just say... lacking for lack of a better word or to too harsh of a word. Bam Bam totally brought the tattoo to life with dimension and great color choice and his line work was great! He also doesn't have a heavy hand. Which is an added bonus. The facilities and location is in West Kendall and has been open for about 4 years. The owner, Tatu Baby was on a popular tattoo show called Ink Masters (season 2) and has really done a great job with her shop. It's beautiful and clean. She's an incredible artist and I saw some of her art work around the shop. I also saw her finish a beautiful back piece today. so far at least 2 tattoo artists from this shop are fantastic artists. Bam Bam was very professional and meticulously clean with his station, needles and ink. And used all great products. Nothing cheap about the quality of the tools and ink that's used. In terms of artistry, experience and professionalism, Bam Bam gets 5 stars... but because this is a review more of the shop it gets 4 until I see the art work from more than just 2 artists. There's no doubt I will be visiting again! Once I do I'll make sure thip update.

After spooking at all of the artist's work I contacted Christy to get my tattoo done because I was looking for very fine lines and she had some pictures of her work on instagram and I was convinced. I made an appointment by contacting her on instagram which was very easy and she got back to me super quick. Once I got there I was greeted by the owner's wife and immediately sat down with Christy to work on my tattoo. I was so comfortable I ended up with three different pieces I wanted and Christy was super accommodating and said that wouldn't be a problem. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process and the tattoos came out fabulous! The place was extremely clean and organized. When I was leaving I had a chance to talk to the owner's wife who does the piercings and I asked her about two piercings I had done somewhere else that were not healing. She was really helpful and gave me a ton of information on how to heal them. She explained how the piercer should have advised me to pick a different jewelry and they would have healed by now. She took me upstairs to the piercing suite which was equally as clean and neat. The place is fabulous but more importantly the staff made me feel so comfortable the entire time, like family. If I could give this place more stars I would!!!

I have been following a lot of different shops on Instagram, but I would just keep seeing these stunning pieces coming out of Ocho Placas. I would work and see such variety of different pieces, sure enough Ocho Placas. Javier, the owner, does some really incredible black work. Pooka, is the Miami flower girl for sure, she does the most true to form nature tatts. The artist I ultimately chose was Jerry Blades, he does the sickest Japanese style tatts. They also have a walk in studio, where you can get your piece designed and put on same day, which is cool. In my case though, It took me only like 13 years to commit, and when you are getting a significant piece, you want to get the best quality that you can. I was back and forth with Jerry and I am so proud and blessed to have chosen Ocho Placas for my tattoo. The piece took a few sessions to complete and it came out spectacular. The professionalism of the shop is on point. They are not cheap, but they are certainly worth the price of admission. You are certainly investing in a quality piece of art, and one that you will be carrying with you your whole life. I absolutely recommend this shop.
