Row House Fitness Midlothian - Cardio Classes Near Me - Midlothian, Virginia

I was satisfied from start to finish. A representative worked with us via text and got us all squared away for our first class. She was very responsive and answered any and all questions. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted and addressed by name (which was awesome). The studio was nice and clean. They helped us get situated on the row machines and made sure we were able to get started. Markus was our coach and he was excellent. He played great music and created a high energy environment. Markus made rowing fun and even checked on us during the class and pushed us to meet our goals. When class was over, he came over and talked to us about all the things Row House Midlothian had to offer. As first time rowers, we enjoyed ourselves and plan to book more classes. Thank you for the great experience. read more

We took our first RH class this past Sunday and it was great! We even learned the correct way to row (which has little shoulder and arm work :). read more

I have been a member of RowHouse Midlothian for 4+ years. RowHouse is a family. What I mean by that is everyone is greeted and encouraged to do their best. The members range from 17 years old to 70+ and we all have a blast rowing together. Rowing for me was a challenge at the start. It is a full body workout including some strength training. The coaches give you an initial setup and instruction. This is a sport that is self driven but with the help of wonderfully trained coaches and fun music selections you can be challenged to sprint and also do distance pieces. My challenge is to stay healthy and strong. RowHouse Midlothian has given that to me. I have accrued over 9 million meters and I am 70 years old! I love it and you will too! Come join us you will love it!‍ read more

Love Row House! I've been coming here for over a month and have enjoyed all the instructors, music and staff. I wasn't sure if this would be for me because I've had a knee replacement and I'm not in great shape. It's turned out to be excellent! My knee flexion and extension is smoother after just a few regular sessions. I can tell I'm getting stronger and I'm consistently doing a bit better each row. Plus the atmosphere with good music and rhythmic rowing makes it a relaxing yet challenging workout. Thank you Row House Midlothian and staff. I'm glad I gave it a try. read more

Coach Melissa is an angel!!!! I attended a Full Row as my first class and was introduced to a super supportive environment- the instructor came over before the class started and had a really good conversation with me about how to row, and if I had any injuries or modifications to make. Everyone in the class was sweet, and it felt like a very lively room! Macie, the general manager, was so helpful in helping me book more sessions and made sure to talk through each plan and promotion so I knew what was going on and what the best deal was for me. All in all, Row House has made a fan out of me and I'll absolutely be going back! Not to mention, the workout kicked my butt read more

Great instructors and awesome rowing machine technology make a perfect combination! The Row House studio is a great place to get a really good workout where you can have fun challenging yourself while helping the "crew" hit those lower split numbers. The instructors take time to offer personalized attention so you can optimize the class. Once I get into that "just right row cadence and the lights are dimmed, I close my eyes and melt into the music and the machine. I leave feeling refreshed mentallly and physically. The classes vary and the "crew" age range varies too (I am 65). My favorites are the 30 minute express row, the full row 45 minute class and the 45 minute restore class. The rowing machines give you second by second feedback so you can track your activity level as well as hitting any "rowed meters" class goal you set for yourself. It's joint friendly too! read more

Loved taking STRENGTH this past Wednesday! The staff in the studio was so nice and welcoming, and the workout was awesome!

I have been a runner, cyclist, and gym rat for most of my life. I can easily say that the workouts at the Row House are up there with the best! My husband and I join this gym because the only time I've ever had six pack abs were the winter that I use the rowing machine all winter, about 20 years ago. So I was really excited when we discovered this gym. They offer a variety of classes, some of them are 45 minutes some of them are one hour, but all of them are a great workout. Their instructors are all very different, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Expect a row between 3000 and 8000 m per class. Expect to be challenged. Expect to get whipped into shape. And most of all, expect to have a great time. read more

After writing a bad review Aaron, the manager, did contact me but offered no solution. I explained we needed to communicate in writing since I needed documentation that this was resolved. After that, I got NO response. I just got a late notice from the gym, for an amount of $258, which does not reconcile with that $89/ month they have been trying to charge me that I never agreed to. PLEASE be careful. Do not use a credit card to pay for anything here. I never bought a membership. Only a package of classes and they keep charging me despite me contacting them... i don't know how many times now. Please read all the reviews on here and GOOGLE. It is a great workout, but not worth it. Unethical business practices. Please beware. read more

Great alternative to running! The instructors are amazing and rowing is low impact and compatible with joint issues that can start to surface as you get a little older. The different workouts available keep things interesting and fun while getting in shape. read more

We enjoyed our time at Row but we were not told the truth when we signed up. Like most working families, committing to a gym can be difficult. I asked the young lady during the interview if things did not work out could we stop our membership ? We were told yes, no problem. Here's the truth after going back and forth approaching 2 months with the Manager Aaron Gunter. No The gym closed due to Covid like most other businesses. Our dues of $300.00 came out on 3/15.( pay in advance ) We contacted management on 3/17 to inform them with the COVID concern we felt it was best for us cancel our membership. There is no canceling on the spot, they require a "30 DAY Notice". The $300 could be applied towards online courses or merchandise because of COVID. What happened to we could cancel at any time? We were directed to put our membership on freeze until TBD. Yesterday we reached back out to Aaron to let them know we still wanted to cancel. The 30 days starts all over again with more fees due? WHAT? It went from no problem, cancel at your leisure to costing us $600 for online classes we never used? This is why people hate messing with gym memberships. Different gym, same hassle. P.S. If you miss a class that you're signed up for, they charge you $25, (per violation)unless you call and give proper notice. read more

I've never been so excited to work out ever in my life. The atmosphere in this building is very motivating and inspiring. Every time I come into this location, I feel comfortable and motivated to push myself hard on my workout. You have to try it at least once and I guarantee you, you'll be sweating and ecstatic at the idea that you found yourself a workout you'll want to do every day. Because that is definitely how I feel. read more

I went by recently during posted business hours to discuss possible membership. Lights were on, nobody home, no "back in X minutes" note. I called the business number and left a request for a return phone call and never received one. Perhaps business is so good? Makes me wonder if they're still a viable business. I'll rehab my knee elsewhere. read more

I love Row House! I've been going there for just over a week. The instructors are fun, music is good and it's a great workout for all levels. It's something different from your typical gym. I like how it's a full body workout with rowing and weights. Their app tracks all your activity including distance and splits. I appreciate not having to sign up for a 6 month or a year membership too. read more

I've been to two classes so far and I love it! Everyone is very welcoming and inclusive, some boutique exercise places can feel very cliquish but this is not one! They gave me a lot of attention both classes to make sure I was using correct form and to check in that I was enjoying myself. And I was! The playlists are great, the rowing is so fun, I truly get an enjoyable and significant workout that goes by so quickly. I also felt like the folks I spoke with about membership options were very transparent and truthful. I am making rowhouse a regular part of my exercise routine! read more

Poor management. I've reached out multiple times in regards to my account and the general manager ignores me. Absolutely ridiculous, wish I could go back and never sign up here. read more

I went for my first workout at Row House Midlothian about a month ago. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and Susanna is an excellent coach. The class is fun, motivating, and energizing. I'm beginning to feel my core is strengthening and feeling more energetic. I love this class! read more

Very disappointed with the Row House. They tell you to try it and you can cancel within 30 days. I tried to cancel it after 28 days and they wouldn't honor their word. Also, in order to cancel you have to go to the location Monday thru Friday between 10am and 6pm. So now I have to try and leave work in time to get there to cancel this. Sorry I ever tried it. Won't return. read more

Just spoke with 2 of my friends that signed up for a package of classes like myself during the same time I did and they were not continuously charged for months. It is ridiculous that they falsely signed me up for a contract when I was purchasing the same thing my friends were a 8 class package that expired in 3 months if you didn't use it. Owner was rude, laughed even. Not willing to even give any of my money back for there mistake. Be careful what you sign for this company bc what you think you are signing as a release to exercise could be a contract when you didn't request that and was not in the package. read more

Row House is an amazing workout! The ability to combine a full body workout for all skill levels and still be in a team atmosphere is so inspiring! Add to that the awesome coaches, and I would recommend to anyone!!! read more

This has been a remarkable first week! My first class I came in with my mother, hesitant, but with an open mind. We had Melissa as our row instructor, it was a difficult class but easy to keep up with. After I left my class, I immediately signed up for a membership! I've felt more confident and excited to workout than I ever have before. The small community they've built makes you feel right at home! The music is fun and upbeat and the atmosphere is so positive! read more
