I spoke with Bill, the owner, and he was very accommodating and helpful and said to come on over. Briana (sp?) at the front desk gave me a tour and showed me all of the amenities they have in their gym. It's not a huge space but it is very well organized and sparkling clean. My gym back home should see how this place is maintained. All of the equipment is in great shape, they have; free weights, several squat racks, dumbbells, a selection of machines, TRX setup (see picture) and some kettlebells for you hardcore masochists. They provide one-on-one personal training and from the interactions I saw with clients they have loyal followers. I would not hesitate to recommend this gym. They deserve 5 stars.

Over that time, aside from gaining about 20 pounds and loosing a lot of muscle tone, I developed some bad back problems as well as very sore knees both of which were actually staring to interfer with my ability to do things around the house and keeping me from enjoying playing with my grandkids. So I decided to start training again on my own. I immediately started hurting myself... repeatedly! I know this sounds like a commercial but "Thats when I decided to try Success Studio!" In all seriousness, the team there, especially Jana, helped me get back into the training routine guiding me along and making certain that I not do anything stupid to hurt myself. That was last August. Its now January and I have lost ten pounds, my back is strong, and my knees are getting stronger. This just proves that, with the right trainer, anyone can get fit. (referring to black people) but here i am 9 months pregnant trying to help everyone out with things i go to the bathroom with my daughter and she asks to wash her hands. and this lady has the audacity to speak to my 3-year-old and says don't touch that (hand sanitizer) after speaking rudely to a few children and adults. if you are a person of color, i would not recommend using this space. and for the cost $ 450.00 i would had thought she would have had a little grace and class to be polite since she actually entered the event earlier than 5pm. the stress, the embassment, the disappointment and the fact that i had worked so hard to have a wonderful babyshower experience was completely ruined by this lady.

Wow this is a fun workout! It was my first time attending jazzercise and it was at 6am (ahhh). I…read morecame in a bit groggy and was woken up quickly by the energy of this workout. The workout itself is a mix of cardio and strength building. The cardio is the "dancing" part while the strength part includes mats and weights. I cannot dance- at all. But the steps are repeated through the whole song so by the half way point everyone is able to do it even if you are rhythmically disinclined. Every time the instructor gave a dance direction she made sure to explain and show what it was, so I never felt lost for too long. I'm sure it gets easier to remember the steps each time you go. The thing I liked most was that you can completely tailor this to the level you are able/willing to do. The age range was diverse so it wasn't intimidating for me to slow down or go harder as needed (of course the instructor was always pushing me to go harder which I tend to need!). Also, no mirrors which I love! Overall, I was sweaty, laughing, and could feel the burn at 6am so I call that a win. Shout out to the instructor I had, Lizzy, for keeping all of us engaged and motivated!

Formal Complaint Regarding Employee Conduct at Planet Fitness Charlottesville (Wegmans Area)…read more Dear Planet Fitness Customer Service, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the conduct of a front desk employee, CJ, at the Planet Fitness located near Wegmans in Charlottesville, Virginia, on June 29, 2025, at approximately 7:00 AM. During my visit, I was attempting to unfreeze my account. I asked CJ to please hold on for a moment while I pulled up my app to continue the process. Despite this, he repeatedly gave me information I was already aware of, and I again asked him to hold on while I prepared my request. At that point, he began displaying an attitude and became rude. When I asked him to please listen so he could assist me more effectively, he became visibly upset. He then told me to "calm down and relax," even though I had remained calm, cordial, and quiet the entire time. Throughout this interaction, CJ continued to demonstrate extremely disrespectful and condescending behavior. Further, CJ threatened to "evict" me from the gym, claiming he had that authority. This was simply because I was trying to complete my request and asked him to listen to my explanation before proceeding. I find this behavior unacceptable and believe it reflects very poorly on Planet Fitness. As a paying member, I expect respectful and professional customer service. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and addressed appropriately, and that I receive a response outlining how Planet Fitness intends to handle this situation. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Chris Barnes I appreciate the quick reply, but if I'm being honest, if the employee is not going to be reprimanded for his behavior, then there's no reason for me to call and further explain the situation. I don't like being told what and how I am feeling like he knows what I'm feeling. I believed that I was coming to planet fitness to better myself, not get disrespected and deal with unnecessary attitude

Yes, the first class can be intimidating because of the fear of the unknown, but it truly is a judgment-free zone. This past (almost) year has proved to me that Pilates is for EVERY body. The various classes and private sessions have worked wonders on my low back pain (actually did more than going to physical therapy twice a week). Warning--you will learn new curse words: "pulse" and "gliders", while wondering how "only 5 more" actually means another 10, but you will enjoy every moment of it. :-) HIGHLY recommend investing in yourself and taking classes at Club Pilates Crozet!

My class was with Megan W, who did an amazing job with the class. Since it was a training class, there were only 6 of us, so she was able to give each of us a ton of attention individually to make sure we were doing the moves correctly. This class is done on a Pilates mega former. Instead of trying to move quickly like with other classes, the goal is to move as slowly as possible and really feel the resistance. It's a low impact, high intensity workout that will leave you sore for days in the best way possible. I can't wait for this spot to fully with all the instructors fully trained!

If you're looking for a fitness program, I recommend you avoid [solidcore] and try one of the many other gyms in the area. First and foremost, I could never find a regular coach to work with. The turnover is rapid, with coaches going to other branches or disappearing entirely. Google "buzzfeed solidcore ceo harassment" and you will understand why. The exercise routine itself quickly became repetitive. It was the SAME situations targeting the SAME muscles, again and again, even if the class title was different. Whether it was "leg wrap & chest" or "hamstrings & arm wrap", I found myself doing the same movements. Needless to say, I ended up with an injury. After a dozen classes where I sometimes spent over 20 minutes doing planks, I got an inflamed bursa. [solidcore] then delivered their final insult: I asked to cancel my account, only to be told that there is a 30-day cancelation requirement. I am now suffering from pain, unable to exercise, and [solidcore] will charge my card for around $200 for classes that I cannot attend. Avoid [solidcore]. There are many great options in North Virginia. Don't risk your health for a fad.
