Kids do not belong in there using the equipment and rarely are the parents around. Make a gym for kids if you want them in there, otherwise have them go to the Kid's Zone.

You are able to access the gym any time of the day even on a guest pass - just message/call the owner ahead of time to get access information. The gym itself has only a few cardio machines: treadmill, elliptical, erg, ski erg, stair master. What is truly the star of this gym are the machines. No two machines are exactly the same and each serve a specific purpose. I did a full leg day here and had 3 different leg presses and a hack/reverse hack squat machine to choose from. The cable equipment had every type of handle/grip that you could want nicely hung up on the wall. There are a good number of dumbbells and barbells to use as well. There's a very small turf area with a sled, boxes, bands, and kettle bells. If you only want to do cardio, this may not be the best fit, but if you do any type of weightlifting (powerlifting, bodybuilding, crossfit) this is the place for you! Formal Complaint Regarding Employee Conduct at Planet Fitness Charlottesville (Wegmans Area)…read more Dear Planet Fitness Customer Service, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the conduct of a front desk employee, CJ, at the Planet Fitness located near Wegmans in Charlottesville, Virginia, on June 29, 2025, at approximately 7:00 AM. During my visit, I was attempting to unfreeze my account. I asked CJ to please hold on for a moment while I pulled up my app to continue the process. Despite this, he repeatedly gave me information I was already aware of, and I again asked him to hold on while I prepared my request. At that point, he began displaying an attitude and became rude. When I asked him to please listen so he could assist me more effectively, he became visibly upset. He then told me to "calm down and relax," even though I had remained calm, cordial, and quiet the entire time. Throughout this interaction, CJ continued to demonstrate extremely disrespectful and condescending behavior. Further, CJ threatened to "evict" me from the gym, claiming he had that authority. This was simply because I was trying to complete my request and asked him to listen to my explanation before proceeding. I find this behavior unacceptable and believe it reflects very poorly on Planet Fitness. As a paying member, I expect respectful and professional customer service. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and addressed appropriately, and that I receive a response outlining how Planet Fitness intends to handle this situation. Charlottesville itself is known for having a very transient, ever-changing population so this policy doesn't make sense to me.
