You come in, do 9 rounds of 3 minute each and have a 3 minute break in between. You get a heart monitor you can wear and shows on the tv to help you see how you are doing along the way. Jess is the owner and she's awesome and super helpful. The other trainers are fantastic as well, good people all around. It's the best workout and nothing like it in town. I use to go to another kickboxing place and this is really great for letting out any frustrations and feeling good after. You get a free first time class so worth the try!

We did so much.. butpees, threw a heavy ball up the wall while doing squats, sit ups, pull ups, pull ups on rings, lunges and more. I loved the flow of the glass although there were moments I had to break, I still kept up! This crissfit gym is hidden but is a great place to work out!

Wonderful gym, wonderful staff…read more I've been working with Ashlee for almost a year. I came in with a history of awful knee injuries, multiple surgeries followed by iffy recoveries, and little to no faith in the muscles in my lower body. In less than 12 months I've gone from constantly worrying about those shaky knees to feeling real confidence in my movements. Doubling my PRs has just been an added perk... Ashlee has been awesome in creating tailored programs for me and what I need. Just as important, she fosters a welcoming and encouraging environment in the group training sessions that make them more enjoyable than they have any business being. If you want help with nutrition, she's got you. If you want suggestions for good obscure metal bands, she's got you there too. When you look at my Yelp history, you'll notice that I've only ever reviewed moving companies. Couldn't be happier that my first non-moving related assessment is ReDefineRVA and Ashlee. What is this place? I have never heard of it until I stumbled across an ad on Facebook. Initially,…read moreI doubted it because it looked scammish but I went ahead and provided a contact number. The ad stated limited spots so it was a sign that people were signing up and when I clicked on the link, it appeared as if there weren't any left.. However, I was fortunate and received a call back. Again, I was skeptical because FB ads are tricky and that's to the general look of ALL ads I saw on FB. I was contacted a day or so after directly and appointed a time to have a consult. The place was tricky to find but it's tucked away where other warehouses are and sporting facilities. Who knew there was an area back there. Anywho, after consulting and learning about the type of exercise, the time offered, and discussing my goals, I went ahead and signed up. Again, I was very hesitant because I was nervous about group exercises and fearful of appearing unfit or ashamed but I took a leap of faith and said , Yes! Jumping ahead, the people are SO welcoming and the trainers are absolutely supportive and very easy to speak to. Yes, they encouraged me to push hard but it was the kick in the butt I needed. The coaches were never pushy, they were attentive to my limits and personal goals. Lindsay and Sean were who conducted the classes and they both complement each other well in terms of personality and gym environment. Pricing.. yes it can be viewed as expensive but it is not quite different in comparison to the amount you would spend on a personal gym trainer. Now if you're looking for more of a gym such as Crunch or YMCA where you are mainly independent or have a different fitness focus, then you may doubt membership here. This gym is VERY diverse in workouts, uses body exercises, and lifts. Each day offers something different and that is why I absolutely have yet to be bored from it. The workouts are challenging but you are never asked to go beyond your comfortable limits both physically and emotionally. The gym itself is just very fun, cool, and casual. They have a range of equipment from weighted balls to squat racks. If you like the pump, the burn, and sweat I believe you will enjoy the experience. Nutrition advice is offered as well and more independent plans if wished for. The facility has been open for I believe 6 or 7 years now which is a fantastic sign. The vibe is very familyistic and everyone truly is impacting. I would recommend the place to all of my friends and family just to at least give it one day's try. Anywho, I love it!

Despite this, Crunch continued to withdraw funds from my account for personal training services through August 2025, even though no training was provided. While my trainer Chris Patterson and the staff have been fantastic, management--especially Fitness Director Nick May--has been the opposite. I have 44 fully paid, unused personal training sessions at the Glenside location. I was told in writing that my sessions never expire, yet no one disclosed that they cannot be used at any other Crunch location. After moving to Norfolk, I learned that these sessions are locked to this single franchise, something that was never mentioned when I signed up and something most customers would reasonably assume would transfer between Crunch gyms. How come I can use any crunch gym with my membership, but my sessions won't transfer? JF Fitness has offered zero real solutions--just "sell your sessions" or drive hours back to Richmond. No one will buy them, and I no longer live there. I even tried to coordinate a transfer and was initially led to believe it might be possible, only for management to completely dismiss it. The lack of honesty, accountability, and basic customer service from Nick May and upper management is unacceptable. This feels misleading and unethical, and I will be reporting it to the Better Business Bureau for failure to disclose critical information. Shame on JF Fitness for taking advantage of loyal members and hiding behind franchise loopholes instead of doing what's right.
